Post what ROM you are currently using and why
I'm running Synergy RLS1 w/ Warm theme on my Evo
I like it because it comes along with the Sense 3.0 lockscreen, and the developers community is HUGE.
I love sense but I've been rocking decks aosp rom for a while just because of full HDMI mirroring and battery life is great.

Cool! Yeah, battery life would definently be a factor, I barely push out 3 hours on what I'm using now.
CM 7 Nightlies.
I'm using the same rom loving the 3.0 lockscreen (synergy rom latest)
My Oreo Evo 4g G-bread
Currently running Synergy RLS1 but I am thinking of taking a look at MikG. I like the Sense 3.0 lock screen and the Sense apps. I have not tried out any AOSP on my Evo but my (deactivated) Hero runs CM7. I may have to check out Deck for the battery life.
I've been looking into MIUI, not quite sure though. I like how It's more simple, and seemingly cleaner. Yet I'm not a big fan of iOS, which it strongly resembles.

Miui has a lot of great features but no 4g so I don't use it often but I to hate ios so when I do use it I install a launcher from the market

Decks Rom gingerbread-evo-deck 1.3b. This is really the only ROM I've had luck with! I've tried just about everyone else's ROMS and I like the Sense ROMS but after about 2 or 3 days or so I start getting FC's for no apparent reason for my phone process, then sense, then android system, etc...
So until I figure out why I am having so much issues with Sense I'll keep using Decks ROM!!
Deck 1.2.1 with Tiamat SBC kernel.
Light, fast, and great battery life.
CyanogenMod 7.1. Like the stripped down feel of it, and seems to run smoother than 7.0.3.
Still some bugs here and there, but it IS still in development.
Synergy's starting to work pretty well, though. Just hate the lag from Sense.

Decks ROM? Never heard of it, I'll be sure to check it out though I used Synergy for a few days and it worked wonders for me (love the animations in the Warm theme), hopefully no issues arise.
Since root I've flashed five or six different roms. I kinda like a little from all of them but I keep coming back to the stock I did a nandroid of. I think it runs smoother and faster than the other roms. But that is my opinion.

synergy-kingdom nightly 08/12 w lithid's FREEDOM v 0.7.6
oooohhh snap! I just got root after having a replacement you know how I feel
If I were to restore to my stock backup, and tell it to update, will it take my root? I'm kinda thinking about unrooting, just cuz I'd like to go back to stock..... I think. Someone please tell me what will/might happen if I tell it to take the update.

Why not just download a rooted stock rom? Going back to stock if you unroot gains nothing. Unless you are taking the phone back.
Ok. I was kinda wanting to also make sure it was faster and I could freeze stuff if I needed to. I was using skyraider yesterday, but my speed went way down. But I also think it could've been due to the mods I was using.
Also, what is the fastest sense based ROM? Like uses least amount of RAM and CPU. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Stock Rom is definately not faster than custom roms its packed with bloat. I've been using bamf forever seems pretty fast to me

I was using skyraider, but it seemed to eat up memory like a mofo. But, like I said before, I was using some of andybones' mods like the transparent settings.apk and such. Would that cause it to eat up more?
If you are already rooted you can install RMK 2.3.4 build which is official and fast and debloated. Buy titanium backup and freeze what you don't want.

Well, I tried newts ROMs, and I thought they were a bit buggy. I tried virtuous and didn't like it. I don't like straight sense 3. I like scrolling wallpaper. I liked skyraider because of that. Any other sense 2.1/3 or even a 2.1/3.5 mix would be sick. Being able to hide icons on the lockscreen and ditch pages. Can someone mix those, or is that too hard?

This was the most stable ROM ever for me and ever since I got an iPod touch, MIUI looks bad..I'm thinking of going back to Sense but I'm clueless. Any suggestions?

any of the sense 3.5 roms are great.
MIUI doesn't look bad.. Try a few themes there are some great ones.
I'm pretty certain that MIUI is the easiest rom for customization (using the theme app).
You can change pretty much every aspect so it can't just "look bad".
Ok that's the thing I've tried a bunch of different themes and I just don't like miui anymore. Probably the iPod made me sick of it. Now which sense roms we talking here? Can I get some links?

Try mikG. His roms are pretty stable. Go to themikmik.com or themes/ mikroms.

was never a big muiui fan because of the iphone feel it kinda had and sense roms are awesome for stability but just didnt like any of the roms that people came out with....up until tonight cm7 was my clear cut #1 choice but had an issue so id say evo deck or cyanogen paired with tiamat for the tier rom kernel experience...and with sense tho ive found some with crazy add ons
try some of these the guy has horrible reviews and spelling but the roms are sick to try
and they have a cyanogen ics rom

I had used sense Roms from MikRoms and they work great but now I've moved onto AOSP Roms like EvoDeck and I am much happier now since my battery last much longer

decks seems to run a little better for me than cm7... I get better battery, but they are nearly the same, as decks is based off CM
go with Joelz's sense 3.5 or tommy tomatoes 005. They are both fantastic. Tommy built launcher 2 in so you can use that and have the AOSP feel
Yeah, was looking for from something stable but good performance.

What about the Synergy ROM? Sense "3.0" with what I hear working 4G, GPS, WiFI.
Trying to make up my mind also, sinceIi really dont have a whole lot of time to "try before i buy".
I've tried synergy. Bad experience. Just super laggy but have not tried the 3.0 unless all synergy have 3.0.

My girlfriend's Incredible is still running 2.2, rooted, and has mms issues (as in they don't work). I'm looking for a good stable ROM, sense based, and fast. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks

Incredible HD
Are you looking to upgrade to 2.3 or stick with 2.2?
If you want to stick with 2.2, my vote is for SkyRaider 4.3 on the Team Bamf site. It is my all-time favorite. I don't use it anymore simply because it is still 2.2.
I've got no advice on sense 2.3, as I use AOSP now.
I gotta have me some notification toggles (which SkyRaider has)....
+1
Skyraider is an excellently built ROM and is extremely stable.
First rom I ever used

Thanks for the suggestions guys, much appreciated. Weekend project time now! I don't know which one I'm going with yet, but I might just flash a 2.2 rom one day and a 2.3 the next and see which one she likes more.

I know this is kind of a late response but, I'd suggest checking out Gingerbread-Inc-Deck. It is very stable and very smooth. Or, there's Bugless Beast. It is fairly stable but really fast! More of a stock ROM...

i just installed the stock+ rom... so far so good.
i like the stock phone but wanted to fix things like ext4 to fix the low memory issues which lead me to needing non-stock kernel. stock+ rom / kernel got installed this morning and so far so good!
Did you try the messaging icon under all apps? Sometimes I have to remove the messaging icon on the main screen and drag the all-apps one back to the front screen. Then all is fine again...not sure why???
I've personally tried a few Sense 3.5 ROMs and the upgrades to the interface are really slick. I'd definitely recommend giving a couple of them a shot.
Try Nils Business Gingersense 3.5 or Prime XL 3D to get a feel for it.
Cyanogenmod 7 with the new Incredikernel is my favorite, if she do without the 720p recording give that a try.

Meh... I prefer to run Rachel Rom
I am going to be installing a new ROM on my girlfriend's INC2 today and just had a few questions. One, what is the best AOSP ROM out right now (my guess would be Liquid 3.2). Two, what is the best Sense ROM out? Most likely I will be installing a sense ROM as she has been running Liquid for a long time now and is running into some bugs. Also, at least for my Thunderbolt Sense ROMS are getting to be really nice and just as fast as AOSP IMHO. Anyways, my focus is on the Sense ROM, something that is new and updated. Any suggestions?
I would ditch sense and go with cyanogen or MIUI. My only issue with miui was battery life, but maybe you'll have better luck.
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
For a solid sense ROM, check out skyraider Zeus 1.3. It's based on the stock sense2.1 but has some 3.0 upgrades. It's a very stable, fast rom.
MikRunny is a good sense 3.5 ROM. There are some minor bugs, and it gets a lil laggy once in awhile. But overall its a solid performer.
