anyone have eMbedded visual basic software, please

i need the software to run some program if anyone can send that or any links to download thanks
Hi,
The SDK for Pocket PC is actually available for free at Microsoft!
You just have to search a little for it: use "Pocket PC SDK 2002" as keywords at www.microsoft.com, or try this direct link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...4a-bd94-4167-b817-2b2e548b2e92&DisplayLang=en
The SDK for Pocket PC 2003 only includes VC++ 4.0, but the SDK for Pocket PC 2002 contains both VCC++ 3.0 and Visual Basic CE 3.0.
For VB Apps to run, you need to install the VBRUN-Runtime library on the PDA.
Be aware that embedded VB has some severe drawbacks, compared to VB6:
- you don't have the DoEvent command, so no "multitasking"
- you don't have VAR() and VAL()
- you don't have many of the controls
- it is VERY slow
More info's about it:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/vbceide/htm/evbstart.asp
Cheers,
vma
VBRuntime.cab
VBRuntime.cab
Note that it is better to write your apps in Visual C++ rather than VB, as VB will not be supported on future devices...
eMbedded Visual Basic can run on WM 2003, just use the following link to download the runtime library from the following link:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/mobility/windowsmobile/downloads/evb_eula.aspx
This will allow any applications written using eVB 3 to run on your device!

I have "Windows CE Platform Builder v5.0", anyone

I have got Windows CE Platform Builder v5.0.bin, total it's 2.55gb
what is this software for?
how to upload .htm files? i can upload realease notes.htm and whatsnew.htm for now.
i would think it's for making applications for pocketpc devices
Platform Builder is the tool OEMs use to build/test/configure Windows CE OS images for their hardware and eventually distribute them on retail devices. Its what the manufacturers like HTC would use to actually make the ROMS. An evaluation of it is freely available on MS's website, if you didn't know.

Linux Emulation on Windows Mobile?

Friends,
I am wondering if anyone has heard of emulating a Linux operating system locally on Windows Mobile (CE)? Something like PocketDOS but running a basic Linux operating system instead of DOS? I read about Bochs (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291899), which may boot a Linux image, but from I've read Bochs doesn't work too well with Windows Mobile on the Rhodium?
I know I can use Putty (SSH) or VNC and such for remote Linux access, but the goal here is to get some basic version of Linux running locally. I'm not sure Haret's Android port is ready for prime time yet (from what I've read)
Does anyone have any ideas?
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=102603
Thanks for your response, but the idea at this point is to run Linux emulated, not native in Haret. I would love to run it Linux native using something like Android but unfortunately at this point Android doesn't look to be stable enough on the Rhodium platform for full-time 'production use'.
Any thoughts?

Windows Phone 7 Emulator image

Here we go!

Some good guys should dump it. ECEC at 50(dec)
Windows Phone 7 Emulator dump
here you are
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=5890971
who is willing to port to other device?
You can download dumped packages here:
http://www.multiupload.com/WYKJJNBZOV
however this ROM for X86 CPU, so it's complete useless for ARM devices.
Also ROMIMAGE format without relocations, so it can't be relocked to other addresses.
(note - in my dump there wrong machine type in dll/exe files. It must be X86 instead of ARM)
Core is Windows CE 7.0 with multi-CPU support.

Well considering it was dumped from an emulator that runs on windows it makes sense that it's only x86 compatible lol.

[Q] Error loadind a csproj in any IDE

Hi, guys.
I'm trying to open and modify taskfacade ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/taskfacade/ ) in order to implement some changes and improvements I've got in mind. It's a C# project, but all microsoft IDE's are giving me errors when I try to load the csproj or the sln files.
Can anybody tell me what I can do?
Thanks!
You will require:
Visual Studio 2008 (Standard or above (i.e. not express)) with C# (for the main project) and C++ (for the setup project) installed
Windows Mobile 6 Professional SDK
Note that you can not open up the main project by itself as it has a reference to the setup project. If you can not install the C++ components, try deleting the setup project - the main project will not compile, but at least it will open.
Hi, TehPenguin.
Thanks for your reply. I'll try to install the SDK and follow your suggestions, and I'll tell you.
