[Q] Why Screens Animations don't work on CM7? - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I Have a problem. I'm on CyanogenMod-7.1.0.1 and Screens Animations when you turn off/on doesn't work but before, the animations works perfectly. I havn't do special thing before the animations do not work. So, it's very strange. Do you know why?

You mean the CRT ON/OFF (screen off and on animations?) They arent on that build. They are on the latest nightlys though.

Thanks, but Can I get the animations on this rom?

What ROM are you using? On CM7 Nightlys you can, most (if not all) Sense ROMs don't have it, CM7 stable I don't think has it either. The ROM developer might be able to include it in an add-on if you ask him kindly though

I'm using Cm7 stable.

Nope, CM7 Stable doesn't have it. Now I remember not having it when I was on stable too.

I can confirm both CM7.2 RC1 AND CM9 RC0 have flawless CRT on/off animations. CM7.1 stable had very intermittent animations, sometimes it worked, sometimes not!

This is a very good rom however it has a bluetooth issue at the moment, hopefully it'll get fixed soon. If like me you can live without bluetooth the I highly recommended this rom.

Anyone knows how to get the auto rotate animation on the HTC desire? Something like the iPhone one
What make u think there is a rotation animation?
Android doesn't have it, maybe u can install some app or launcher that have it
The galaxy tab has it

You can sync FB using Friendcaster app. Official FB is buggy. But I'd still suggest noting down the phone numbers and savinng into google. then later joining the accounts with the respected fb accounts. I use it this way.
Gmail: Never tried but I guess It should work.
Weather?: Are you asking for those sense widgets? You can replace them with others in the market.

In my experience with CM9 Alpha 7 is fine but the video camera does not work and the battery lasts very little otherwise great
cm9 is great, I have been using it for 3 months, today I switched back to sense 2.1 because sometimes I need camcorder or internet passthrough and sense 2.1 roms are the most stable roms available for wfs....battery life on cm9 and sense roms is imho the same, about 3 hours of screen on time and wifi on

i told u not to download that version 2.0 of jelly king.. try the preceding versions...
Btw u won't get great battery in most cm10 roms.. they are battery consuming..
Don't overclock high, set battery low, use mobile data only when required and the battery will be good..
