Just search for 'cwm' on android market and you'll come across an app by the name *cwm auto-installer*
Just install and run it....it will install cwm on your droid.
Now to enter recovry mode....reboot or restart your phone...and when the sony Ericsson logo appears press the volume rocker keys (volume up and down, any one of them) for few times! BAMMM!! Your in recovery mode!
It will 'FUEL THE DROID'
If you think I helped you in any way or other please hit the thanks button!!!

new to xperia arc, need some help

Hello peeps
i have an Xperia ARC LT15i, its updated to 4.0.4 oficial, build number 4.1.b.0.587, kernel version 2.6..32.9-perf
Can someone help me with some links to root it? Can i root him with this version or i have to downgrade and install other rom?
Keep in mind that i cant get to fastboot mode cuz my settings buton is broke, dunno why it doesnt work...and i cant find a keypad to replace it atm. ive replaced "back" button with the settings one but still wont work. So if i need to get into fastboot, i really cant atm
Testpoint it and root using flashtool. Im not complete sure but google it and look in the general

Try to flash another kernel. When the phone is switched off, press the menu button and plugin the usb cable. It will start in the fastboot mode.Try to flash a stock kernel with cwm. Also if you need any custom rom zip, you can remove the microsd and put any Installation zip files in it via your computer and install them view CWM

Use Sony's own flash tool called EMMA.
Everything you need can be found from there: http://developer.sonymobile.com/2012/12/06/new-flash-tool-from-sony-for-unlocked-xperia-smartphones-video-beta-download/
And read every instruction you find. Every single one of them.

[Q] Nothing is showing in CVM Recovery

I have been on this rom for a while:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2267230 and everything was working fine, but now i wanted to change to this rom:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2648304 But now my problem is that I flash provided kernel from this new rom and when i boot to recovery it is not showing anything. There aren't any options to wipe, nothing... at the bottom left it just say cvm recovery and a number and that's it. Can you help me? Did i do something wrong?
If you waited too long and cwm still did not show, you should try this:
reboot to bootloader again and run:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata

Seems like you are doing something wrong, follow instructions written on that thread carefully, if you still can't manage it, stick with stock ROM.
