[Q] Any tweak for camera ? - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi everybody ,
i'm wodrig if there is tweakig tool or costumized keral or patch , that improve camera speed i our desire !
i have okia n96 is old one but camera is fast in both photos and videos , so it has to be better in desire , becouse it is faster cpu + gpu+ ram , >>>
there is many tweaks for gpu iprovemet and cpu and sound , wifi , 3g , and more athers , but no body talk about camera !
so , any one can help me in that ?

Faster CPU, GPU and RAM does not mean a better camera.
A camera has its own hardware, and Desires camera can be limited by other design factors like shutter speed, inner buffers, buses or communication protocols.
I'm just guessing here, and if you find any working tweak, please share

I see that the Speed of Camera depends on App and Driver.
When you use AOSP Camera App like on CM the speed is quiet slow.
However if you try some sense ROM, surely the quality and Speed of Camera Increases.
Currently I am trying Runny ROM and it has app Fast Burst Camera which is quiet quick then any other Camera App.

[Q] Slow Motion Video

I am just wondering if anyone knows if the 120fps for slow motion video is a hardware cap or is it hard coded into the camera app?
Just curious as to if we know what the capabilities of the Image processor in the phone is - maybe a little tweak here or there and we can get even slower motion video that doesnt blur like being slowed down in software...

The hardware cap is 108fps I think, but I don't think it ever reaches that high. Every slow-motion video I've ever recorded looked like a normal one slowed down a bit.
It's a shame, because the LG Viewty (which was released about 5 years ago) had 120fps video recording, which was absolutely fantastic
I imagine we'll be able to push the fps higher with camera mods though.
As mentioned I've noticed that fast motion is clearer than normal recording just sped up so I think the hardware is doing something. Would be nice to be able to tweak the fps

how to fix that ? can custom rom do that ?like ARHD maybe?
I'm sorry for bad english

Cameras and picture quality

Hey all, I've wondered this for a while - Does the quality of pictures change depending on the version of Android/what camera app you are using? Or is that entirely hardware dependent?
For instance - I am using Pure's 3.0 ROM, which is awesome, and the camera quality is the same as I would expect from any GB ROM. But would something like ICS employ some new tricks via post processing or something that would result in better pictures?
Just curious.
Anyone?

I don't believe the ROM will have any effect on your image quality. The only thing that would change the picture quality would be a camera app such as HDR Camera.
I haven't done any scientific testing. But I have found the CM camera to be a little better than the stock Sense camera, but without as many features like face detection. However it also has a "deblur" ISO setting that allows the auto ISO to extend past 400, up to 800 without having to set it yourself. Auto ISO in Sense only seems to go to 400 without you having to manually set it in the camera settings. Otherwise it's more dependent on the sensor (ISO performance, BSI), lens, and the aperture (depth of field, better low light performance). I would love to have the camera out of the One S/X or even the iPhone 4S. But the Incredible's isn't bad for when it was made.

[Q] GB | ICS | JB : pros and cons

Hey. I want to finaly find ROM for everyday use. But i dont really know what advantages and disadvantages those androids have. I want newer system than GB, but im afraid of batery draining and etc. I don't record videos or use panorama, so i don't care about those bugs. I just want nice smooth rom for games (i mostly play solitaire ), but good battery life. But i think most important for me is interface and battery... Can u tell me main differences between those three system, so i can choose the best rom. I can install milions of different ROMs but i dont really know the differences... But if u want u can recommend me good rom, i won't be angry.
I had tons of roms installed on my gio, but never stayed with one rom more than two weeks.
here is some pros and cons of gb,ics and jb(as far as i know)
GB:
pros
-Stable
-fully functional camera
-better ram handle
-better gaming
-best battery performance
cons
-none(as far as i know)
ICS
pros
-Super smooth
-Newer interface
-touch-to-focus feature
-beautiful launcher
-ICS+ apps supports
cons
-sometimes unstable
-camcorder not working
-sometimes laggy when using
more than 3 apps
-bad ram management support(less than 100mb )
-bad battery performance
JB
-little newer interface than ICS
-full functional camera
-newer gallery
-newer camera
-newer status bar style
-ICS+ apps supports
cons
-laggy camcorder
-bad ram management support
-very slow and little laggy
-Bad battery performance
Gee thx.. So for best battery and performance should i choose GB?
True.
ICS and JB are clearly different on battery time than on GB, as well as stability

yes.camcorder is working but only with 3rd party app which is working sluggish as hell and for HQ playback yes it is.
I don't think that battery performance is bad in ICS or JB... My phone can lasts for 2 days...
And about the memory management: In Maclaw's AOSP ICS and in CM10.1 by OldDroid I have ~150-160 Mb free RAM... This is a big improvement for these android versions.
My battery lasts a day on JB (listening to music all the day xD)
The performance is very good and JB is stable. You should use a task manager (Advanced Task Killer for instance) and close apps like Email.
In my opinion GB is a bit obsolete. JB's new notifications are beautiful! <3

Camera startup boost?

Hello. So what I envy some other phones are their time between startup and picture taken is amazingly fast and steady. Is there mod or anything that can be modified to increase speed of the camera app I suppose? I want only to use the stock app as it gives best quality.

What do I lose going from stock based ROMs to AOSP?

Hello all,
I've recently acquired my G3, coming from a long line of HTC devices. With the HTC phones, you lose a few things when moving over to AOSP ROMs, notably some battery optimization and camera fidelity.
At a high level, what if anything is lost when moving over to AOSP with a G3?
For me :
-4K video recording
-The ability to stream videos from my gallery to my LG smart TV ( it's pain in the butt to download ****ty 3rd party apps to eventually not doing it )
-Knock code
-Stable camera (on AOSP the camera often fail and requires a reboot)
_____________
---------------------
On the other hand :
+A lot faster UI with AOSP
+More free RAM(can go to more than a gig of free ram with no apps running)
I own the 2Gb version and it's terrible with RAM management (even with debloating the ROM) with only about 500mgb free ram with no apps running
+The same battery life...which is still average (4+ hours of SoT)
+More material design
1)Practically speaking u lose FM radio
2) if at all you use 4k recording then that
3) camera is really good in AOSP but slightly lower than stock in lowlight...its not a major downside trust me...still if u Bought this phone only for camera stay on stock
What you get extra is
You'll make the G3 feel like a real flagship once u flash this...that says it all...numerous themes...no lags anywhere..

Don't flash right now, after 1-2 years maybe, but not now, just wait for a 5.1
lololol
You can flash the HTC One M9 camera which is closer to stock in quality (only 1080p), although no laser focus. FM radio, I could care less about, use tunein radio.
