overlocking on ICS ROM? - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi guys I just flash the beta ICS ROM, satisfied with the goodlooking and experience. The only thing is a little laggy.
So is there a kernel can overlock on ICS ROM? THX

Search broke? Post in right thread Q & A
Sent from my LT18i using xda premium

This should be in Q & A, but remember ICS now is only a beta, if the ROM it´s a little laggy it´s normal. It can´t be so smooth than a GB based ROM. About overclock the 3 Kernel available at the moment for ICS BETA ROM´s don´t have overclock.

Questions go in the Q&A section, not the Dev section.

I give up

No overclockable kernel yet. We have to wait for sony to release the sources.. Should be soon enough.

You can overclock with doomkernel v3 for ICS, it's buggy and I think doom has locked his thread.
Just try cm9 or miui v4, they both use the same basic kernel (FXP) and you can overclock that

Just use V6 supercharger first

Same for me. Used t. E. A. M. before ICS beta, I'd love to see TEAM for ics.

Hello, nice post . Really I test all ROM and use many of them, like Arconium, CM7 and XperiaMod also I love to test different kernel. Actually I want to test all ICS ROM, but at the moment I´m testing IceLite ICS.
se tweaked, then ICS arconium, now going back to se tweaked
At the moment IceLite.
But i arrive from a long time with CM7.2
Arco 7.1 + Doom v19 = very good!

Best ROM for ARC S

Which ROM has not any bugs , and have better battery backup, .
and supports ARC S LT18i.
Thank you..
Arconium 7.1

Acronium 7.1
Its the best ROM I have used for ARC, I have ARC not ARC S, still its smooth and best GB ROM
But which one?
I guess he wants to know the name of the ROM
Sent from my iPad 2 using Tapatalk
i am using Acronium 7.1 , Battery drains very quickly,
I use data 2G all time.
Same here...now using arconium 7.2 w/ doomkernel v19 baseband 58...drains batt quickly T_T
I tried them all,ics beta,team,arconium,miui etc.
Stock rom .62 with root/removed bloatware/doom v19 is still for me the best.
A bit undervolting and stockspeeds [ 1.4 Ghz Arc s ]
All other roms draining with 3g.
No issues with wathever, good batterylife etc etc.
I'm using the ROM of SE.Tweaked (v1.0), works fine and smooth. No issues and good battery life, much better than the original rom.

Arconium 7.2 is simply a beautiful rom for arc/arc s.
For the people with battery problem..flash the stock .283 kernel along with .36/.64 baseband.
With this config,i need to charge my phone for once in two days [full charge]
I alsoi have superchargerV6 and link2sd for lag-free performance and free internal memory
Disadvantages:
This kernel doesnt support overclocking/undervolting and many other features which doomkernel possesses
I think there's a DooMKernel on .283

Yes it does.. v11
But i haven't tried that.
Seconded stock with doomkernel is best for me. Don’t see any differences between stock, arconium or se tweaked so dont see the point of them. As for the other roms something always seems to be broken or other problems such as battery drain issues and other bugs.

arc s with ICS is SLOW

hello,
I have Xperia Arc S stok ics 4.0.4 , Kernel 2.6.32.9 -perf , build 4.1.b.0.431
My question is why the phone is So slowly????
I thought that ICS should speed up the phone....
I can do anything about it?
thanks
use arconium ics 3.c with arcknight kernel
its fast and stable for me
i believe the stock firmware you are using is bloated with useless app and isn't optimized like what devs used on their custom roms

mate i am using 4.0.4 right now and it is as smooth as gb .64 if not faster. i notice my live wallpaper is much smoother too, but it might have to do with the software rendering enabled on arconium 3.c
apps and games compatibility can be a problem, but cmon im sure the devs will update their apps for ics too.
the only app i had problem with was temple run. touches didnt respond well, i swiped and it jumped instead. its a boring game anyways
EDIT: you can overclock your phone using setcpu after installing your new rom to get more performance
old setcpu: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419
for your reference, this is my setup
Model: LT15 Xperia Arc
Rom: Arconium 3.c with Barebone Install
Kernel: ArcKnight Kernel RC2
SetCPU 3.0.5
Governer - OnDemand
Scheduler - sio (Stock: Noop?)
Min Freq. Clock: 134Mhz (Stock: 25xMhz)
Max Freq. Clock: 1.4Ghz (Stock: 1Ghz)

I don't think so. I looked for a CM7 ROM in the Development Forum and I didn't found any CM7 ROM. However, in my humble opinion, I like the CM9/10/10.1 ROMS available for our device, because the performance is better than GB
