When is my 10.5 T800 going to get the OTA of lollipop i need SD write and i dont want to flash or root, tried Kies today 21/04/15 and it says Kitkat is the latest for me.
Is there a Samsung list of who is getting what and when.
Thanks.
John.
Some countries have not irreal (?too strong?) customer protect rules, they are the firsts (Sweden, Norway, France, Holland). I think we will get totally same OTA.

Haha I only live a few miles away from you (Hebburn)
I check every day on a couple of sites.
Sammobile.com click on firmware
samsung.youmobile.org
A brother Geordie , thanks for the links, I really want to wait a couple of days after it is released to make sure it`s safe before i upgrade, I usually use a wifi app to transfer files to my 10.5 but cannot do it at the moment and i dont like plugging and un-plugging all the time.
EDIT: So France are currently get it, so hopefully it will not be long for the UK.
Thanks
John.
I downloaded the French version and installed using Odin. I live in the UK and I really don't know what Samsung's issue is with having a worldwide release that is a hell of a lot quicker than this . It's not like they are releasing 5.1 is it? This is probably the best Android tablet you can get at the minute and the support it is getting from Samsung is a travesty.
Has not v5.0.2 that is rolling out in France got the memory leak problem, and v5.1.1 has the leak fixed.
John.

Before you talk about the memory leak, I'm pretty sure it's in the bootanimation. Samsung uses qmg in which in this article, and from my testing, appears to be no memory leak. http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/android-5-0-lollipop-bootanimation-causes-memory-leak-how-fix-1488246
-DUHA
From the link above.
Does this mean Samsung phones/tabs are not affected.
John.
"I'm almost certain that other Android 5.0 Lollipop ROMs may have the same problem (except for Samsung's Touchwiz - Touchwiz uses qmg format and I was unable to reproduce this bug on Touchwiz)," states the developer.

Spain still waiting oficial OTA...
Not got it in the UK yet either, or at least I don't
This is my first and last Samsung device. I cannot understand how they can postpone Lollipop update to Unlocked devices with no Carrier related connections. Why in ^&*()^ half of Europe need to wait months for Lollipop and other half can already use it? Where is difference between (for example) Norway unlocked and Sweden Unlocked? And there is more - many carrier locked devices already has Lollipop. Usually unlocked devices get updates first. But in Samsung world it's all around. Other manufacturers divide their updates in "unlocked" and "carrier related". Samsung divides them in "I'm drunk and I want to mess everything up" :cyclops:
Hope everyone gets lollipop until the end of summer.
Sorry!
If you're European, just flash any European firmware through Odin.
The OS is the same. Only the freebies are different (extra apps, free six month of some services) as they may be tied to local market.
It's no harder than an OTA update.
If you must, you can flash your local firmware over the top later when it's out. Without loss of apps.
Upon moving from 4.4 to 5.0, a factory reset may be recommended. Opinions seem to differ on that and it may dependent on what apps you're using
Disclaimer: I haven't updated my 8.4... Was also waiting for my own local 5.0.2 and/or a bit of free time, whichever comes first... But on my old Galaxy Tab 1st gen, I installed American, Indian and Austrian firmware... It doesn't matter much.

You could say that the one's who get it last will have a newer version as it does get updated.
I'm in the UK and I flashed mine with the Taiwan version as the build date is April, for most it's March. Very easy to flash.
Kitkat work's great, with Lollipop I haven't noticed any performance benefit.
No UK
Not in the UK yet sadly
I dont think UK will get it for some time.
Time to install the french version :crying: :crying:
Edit: I can't change title, but this is about the japanese rom.
Heey guys!
Today I was busy with updating my phone and trying to get OTA updates. I actually want to keep the Japanese rom and don't want to switch to the Taiwanese rom.
When I was searching again when Android Marshmallow would arrive on the Japanese version. I found this article: http://sumahoinfo.com/android-htc-desire-eye-desire-626-yotei-buttefly-htv31-htl26-au
It was already announced that the update would come to the device. But I couldn't find any more information regarding when. But this article could change that.
In the article there is a leaked update schedule, and the Butterfly 3 is present. It states that they skip Android 6.0.0 and will release the 6.0.1 update in Q1 of 2016.
But right there is the problem. You can't tell if they mean the Q1 which starts at January. Or the fiscal Q1 which starts in April. Let's hope it's the latter one, as that quarter will run from April till July. And the Update would then be released this month or next month. If that happens we could see more features for the device. As we know that NFC works on the Japanese rom. But we would than also get all the new features Android Marshmallow brings us.
Ofcourse, if you don't use NFC at all, you could stay on the Taiwanese rom and enjoy Android Marshmallow already. But as I said, for those who want to stay on the Japanese rom, this could bring some nice features to your device.
I have non rooted, HTV31, unlocked by KDDI Japan, still in the original box. I didn't receive any marshmallow, the software version I have is 1.11.970.1 and I don't get any updates for months.
On the other hand, on my another HTV31 which I converted to Taiwanese ROM there is marshmallow available but it says that it doesn't want to do OTA because phone is modified.
KDDI is so slow... I wish someone makes ROM with Marshmallow and fixed messaging and NFC and TV features working properly.... HTC will never do it; hate it.
Some interesting things are going on at au.
Back in March we got an update on the update schedule for some devices.
The HTC HTV31 was also listed together with some Samsung, Sony and some other less known phones.
But this month(August 2016) some devices on that list received an update to Android OS 6.0.
The devices that received an update are:
- TORQUE G02
- AQUOS SERIE SHV32
- Galaxy A8 SCV32
It appears that some other devices on that list already received an update back in June and July.
That leaves us with only 4 devices left to update.
So we could start expecting an update for the HTC HTV31 at the end of this month or next month.
Hallo hallo guys
I found something good here https://www.theandroidsoul.com/huawei-honor-android-9-pie-update/ which states (I's not clear if this is official info) but it's attached the image
I actually think Huawei might not do this and ship instead the Pie on the same date as the Huawei p20 and p20 pro, because this is not a common 200, 300 euro phone, it's a 400 mid range phone which to be honest it's a high price for a "medium" range phone. Won't even talk about Sony .
Cheers,
Alex
UPDATE: Recent news of November 28 on a chinese source of Huawei tell us that we will be the next phase to test out EMUI 9 Beta after the models which have access to it since Yesterday. Attached image and link to sources.

UPDATE(As of 10 of December): According to yesterday Weibo(Chinese Twitter) Huawei account we may have finally a date for the EMUI 9 Beta release, according to their image which I could only translate properly with Cambridge online dictionary, after the words "nova 3e" which is our model it says something like "Internal test recruitment expected to be launched in January" which makes sense since there's only number 1 in there , that's the best translation I could've find.
Links:
https://weibo.com/3514064555/H6C78nkYz
http://www.cnsoftnews.com/news/201812/77093.html - This one needs a complete page translation but you can do it using chrome automatically.
Attached image.
UPDATE (as of 7 of January): Great day to be alive guys My sources are always good, as it seems they have opened internal BETA recruitment of EMUI 9 on China for our model Nova 3e(P20 Lite) and also for Huawei Enjoy 9 Plus (yes, it is called like this...XD), just as I predicted to this month and just like they said on the same source Weibo, link: https://www.weibo.com/3514064555/HaSgozmA2?type=comment#_rnd1546873618942
Poster is attached, because an image is always better
For now though it is only open on China, but as soon as it gets to europe it should be quite quick
UPDATE(As of 8 of January): A new blog post reveals the information and confirmation of the Chinese EMUI 9 Beta release:
https://www.theandroidsoul.com/huawei-invites-beta-testers-for-android-pie-for-nova-3e-and-huawei-y9-2019/
Includes the limit of 2000 participants per country and model for the testing.
UPDATE(As of 21 of January): EMUI 9 Beta is now downloadable in China for who applied for it and new expected stable release dates are available on this source which match my expectations: https://www.theandroidsoul.com/huawei-nova-3e-update/
I expect the stable version to hit China on the mid/end of February even though the source says it expects it in March.
The stable version global rollout would probably be from March to April as it says.
UPDATE(As of 24 of January): Found out a new news link from Italy which does confirm that within two weeks their Single SIM version of Italy from the TIM carrier will receive the update POGGERS
Source: http://www.optimaitalia.com/blog/2019/01/17/brucia-tutti-huawei-p20-lite-tim-nel-ricevere-emui-9-tweet-ufficiale-ma-servono-precisazioni/1342206
It's in italian so either use Google Chrome browser for automatic translation or use google for that
But on the tweet from the TIM carrier they say literally "Hello Mark, within two weeks you will receive the update. See you soon"
The news link is from January 17, so depending on the carriers of the countries of europe some will receive sooner and others will receive later this month Be patient guys, the force is within us
UPDATE(As of 30 of January): A news post of Japan reveals oficial information on the update of the stable version of EMUI 9 for the SIM-Free version of the japanese model of Huawei P20 Lite and others.
Source: https://k-tai.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/1167193.html

That is true indeed :/
Now that Huawei confirmed at IFA 2018 Event that only the P20 Pro, P20, Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Honor 10, Honor View 10, and Honor Play will get the first access to BETA EMUI 9, which by the way it has launched on europe already, but for only 100 people for each country XD ... So no official information on Huawei P20 Lite or other devices, there is some websites that rumor the P20 Lite to eventually get a BETA around October but idk, it's so unpredictable with these companies...

Cheeeeeeeeeeers,
Alex
Somethings wrong with android world.
For a march 2018 released device , are we talking about whether if it will receive android pie or not?
What ? Software update for a 6 month old phone is a luxury service?
A september 2014 released iphone 6 oldie still recieves ios 12 and probably ios 13 and 14...
because all devices have the same hardware? no but they are aware of their hardware mostly.
and even p20 lite gets android pie luckily it will not get android q.. r... s.... t...
This problem does not only apply to huawei , most of the android devices are having this problem.
Huawei is updating it's flagship! models! but it says on each month security update we update your p20 lite as a flagship device with updates!
What kind of hardware are we paying for in a year the phone becomes old and does not support new version?!
Even Android flagship devices barely receives +2 official versions nowadays ... No surprises here.

That was always a problem with android itself... Do not compare it to IOS though, they are so different. Android is running on a emulation of Linux, that's why it needs double or more RAM than Iphones to be smoother and quicker... It will never be as fast as IOS that's the problem, also it will never be as simple as doing new versions of IOS.
Also we all know that Apple always supported their devices better than any other company.
In my opinion Google should've started a new OS a long time ago, LOL.
Each year I see almost no improvements on the performance on the OS. This is like comparing Windows with Linux, like sure Windows has all apps, bla bla bla, but it will never be as speedy as pure Linux.
If most of Smartphones ran an OS like Symbian or Sailfish or Mee go they would run like, so so fast, faster than Apple's IOS for sure. But nothing happened because Android became popular af and those systems became less updated and the companies went down... I atually loved Mee go OS on the Nokia N9 .
I loved this phone

Technically companies are obligated to support phones with at least 2 major upgrades (2 years).

Who knows how I can get the proper updates even when OTA is not working
Thansk in advance for your help :good:

Had the same problem with my DTM Firmware, to solve it i flashed the (in my case) DBT CSC with the newest firmware and now I get every update.
Some sellers imported the phone from other markets, countries. So they can buy the phone cheaper and make more profit. It's legal. But as it comes to update, your phone gets them when the country where they are imported from and not as they release in your own country. You can see the worldwide schedule at www.sammobile.com But if something is wrong, you won't have Samsung guarantee. Only the sellers guarantee.
I ordered my Note10+ directly from Samsung in The Netherlands, and updates are fine. This month I have already received 2 updates. You could indeed try to change the CSC.

Hi i also have the same problem, my latest update was the December 2019 one with the android 10 one ui 2.0. i didnt get any updates since then. i flashed the german firmware in December from Samfrew(like Sammobile) and i bought my phone from Egypt(IN September). is it safe if i download the latest update, will it overwrite with the current one causing issues? i never downloaded the software twice? And can i use Home_CSC and not CSC??
My phone is Note10+ Exynos SM-N975F
Thanks
