[Q] App to turn screen off during video recording

Hi, anybody knows of an app to turn the screen off and save battery whilst recording, or any way to do this? Thanks.

You could just use screen filter in combination with tasker. I created an task witch fires the camera and screenfilter.

How do u set it to auto record video as you won't be able to record when the screen is black

ive seen pinch to zOom in some roms ..also yesterday on cm9 skankwich i saw an option when recording a video that if yuu press the gallery preview icon yuu can take a pic while recording

both of these are standard in CM9 nightlies.
There are also mods around to increase the quality of HD video recording (skankwich) and to disable the shutter sounds (GN toolkit).

Pause Video Recording?

Is there anyway to pause in the middle of recording like on the original galaxy S?

crt off and live thumbnails videoplayer request

this is my humble request to all the developers,SGG is a awesome device due to all your works.we are experiencing the best in a price of 21k but there somw important things which SGG is lacking in one is the crt off lockscreen animation(popularly know tv off lock effect) and live thumbnails videoplayer just like note 2,S3 and S4.some users are waiting for this on thr SSG like me personally i am craving for this pls anyone if they work and develop these two things it would be damn helpful and appreciated

I think that video player u said works on grand but need root and that crt there is a app on play store that works from a shortcut button from home screen not with the hardware lock key

I support you sulaiman but again I think s3 n note 2 video player is nothing great at all ... I have Grand, S3, S2, Note II ...
After sometym s3 n Note 2 video player will start irritate yu ...
