He has 4g LTE (10X faster than 3g). But that phone sucks becuase it dies in 6 hours and can't keep up if you charge and use it.

I've noticed this also. I don't think it has anything to do with what "G" your on. was using Tunein radio an wasn't having any loading issues. Could just be a Pandora problem. What ROM r u running. I switched to MikRunny from TSM GingerBliss. I don't remember having those issues before. Good luck

YouTube problems

I have a prob with youtube not showing any of my subscriptions and some videos just crash.... I'm on a 100% stock build unrooted galaxy nexus lte. Anyone else having this prob?

What version are you running. OS and AP
Ics 4.0.2 100% stock... I don't know if its a YouTube thing or a prob with my phone. But I just now tried viewing my subscriptions on my girlfriends iPhone 4s and that was a no go too lol.

Having the same problem a well
on a 4.0.3 rom and its fcing on subs too. If you look at the error report it looks like an issue with YouTube trying to get some ads and failing to do so (things are pointing to doubleclick). Hope this gets resolved soon, cuz its affecting more than just subscription videos.

Same problem here. Googled some keywords and found nothing on this issue so I came here knowing if it was not just me, I would find out on XDA. Looking forward to Google fixing this, YouTube is an important and very often used application on my phone.

it was working fine before. Not sure what happened.

I've had these issues for a couple days now. Like knyghtryda stated its the youtube pulling up ads that causes problems.
ahhh icic well I guess I'm happy that its not the phones fault but rather youtube's lol.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Yep it was working for me as well! Just kept getting FC. Probably will get updated soon and it'll work again!
Yeh YouTube is having issues lol my iPad is not showing subscriptions also. So its wide spread like my xgf

I don't see subscriptions on either my Galaxy Nexus, ASUS Transformer or IPad 2, but they are showing up on the full web version... Maybe it's a mobile device issue?

Yeah that's what I think too... it has something to do with the adds b4 the video plays. So anything witch plays a video advertisement crashes.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Getting constant fc's. It seems to affect most videos, not just subscriptions. 80% or more of anything I try to watch just force closes regardless if it's from subscriptions or just opened from the home page of the app.
went through a few people and finally found a friend who works at google. Oddly enough he knew what was going on, and even funnier, he (or his team) might have been the ones who broke it. Well, at least now things might get fixed now.

weird things happen at my church

so in my church my phone has almost no signal but my friends with Verizon and other phones than the galaxy nexus have better signal than that of mine.
what I usually do is just
1. turn the data off or
2. put my phone into airplane mode
when i turn data off, after about 30 minutes my phones gets crazy hot for no reason. and sometimes I have to do a battery pull because it doesn't respond to anything.
today, I put it into airplane mode and it didn't get hot. but after about 2.5 hours, I had gone down from 100% to 75% battery life. also it showed that "media" was 95% of my battery use.(I tried to take a screenshot of the battery but it keeps saying "couldn't save screenshot. storage may be in use"
and my phone was awake the entire time.
this only happens in my church...
does anyone know what is causing all this?
it just seems so strange because I have no problem with my phone anywhere else. I'm running liquid 1.1 and the minimalistic kernel 2.7.1stable if that relates to anything.
no idea, but the power of Google has put an advert on this thread on the xda app for Christian dating nothing is sacred from el goog!

Your phone has been possessed by satanic forces which is why it is happening in church.
Try getting it exorcised or better yet throw it into a bucket of holy water for an hour and of it still works when you take it out you'll know for sure it is possessed.
Maybe the GNex isn't the Jesus phone after all?

Just more evidence that something is seriously borked with the verizon nexus or its radio etc. How frustrating.
guys be serious here...
does "media" in battery relate to the signal strength?
what apps can I get to see specific stats?

No media is media, music, video etc.
Search xda for betterbatterystats, that'll give you more of an insight into your battery use.
Have you tried better battery stats app?

You could try getting your friends with their phones to download Speedtest, and you guys can run tests on your network speed and see what happens there.

This ^^^ Plus I doubt that whoever you are worshiping in this church (Jesus, stain, Darwin, flying spaghetti monster) doesn't approve of you texting and playing angry birds during the services.

Don't worry you can touch your phone if you want, no one is watching.
Use stock kernels and I find you will have better results..Most if the problems I see are user errors. My signal is not an issue. Not as strong as my old thunderbolt but also not a drastic difference as everyone makes it seem

Kernel has nothing to do with signal.
well I don't think its the signal...
its just that "media" is eating up all my battery and I can't seem to figure out why

Fix one way data?

Is there a fix? I live in the middle of the woods so I have to tether for an internet connection or just plain use my phone which is fine by me but my phone constantly gets stuck just blinking the upload data arrow or it will hold it there steadily. My data won't work what so ever until it decides to upload and download I've heard of others having this issue but couldn't find an actual solution. Called Verizon but they just say oh yea your service isn't good enough there so get used to it. However my friends gnex works fine here.

Sprint galaxy nexus heat

Anyone else having this issue? Should I worry? Starts to get hot around the camera and speaker while watching videos or browsing
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
It usually does it but it depends how long it been hot. How long have you have the phone for ?

A week now i plan on doing a stress test on the phone to see if its normal heat that wont matter or if its gonna spin into boot loops

I'm having a heating issue too(combined with poor battery life). Is it a problem with only the Sprint version, or have Verizon Galaxy Nexus users been having the same problems?

Both my Verizon Nexus and my girlfriends GSM Nexus both get very hot in the area, the CPU / GPU seems to run pretty warm on this phone.
For those with Sprint Gnex heating up, try going into settings and under Wireless and Networks click more> mobile networks and switch it from CDMA to LTE / CDMA. I know it sound ridiculous since there is no LTE and you would imagine it has reverse affect but many are reporting that this helped with the unit and heating up issues.

What kernel are you guys running? I have found running certain kernels have caused some heating issues. Try Franco kernel r160. This is the coolest my phone has ever ran.
I haven't met this kind of case.

Really sick of this crap anyone else have this. ..

Phone just all of a sudden has 0 service and can't text or anything sometime it even freezes and or reboots every rom and every kernel really annoying anyone else?

No, mine's rock steady as Jim Dandy. I'd suggest saving what's important, resetting and start from scratch.
So no one else is losing service randomly or freezes or reboots?

I get random reboots but like once a month or something like that. But I'm for sure done with sprints crappy service.

I was having the same issue, no 4g and no bars. Then I found this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086769
went ahead and flashed it and buumm every thing started to work. I also played with the ##DATA# settings made the 4g work like crazy sweet.
just make sure you write down the setting you have before you change any thing.
o and by the way you might need to download Get My MSL from play store.
hope it works for you.
no problems here, but service just plain sucks. i can't even stream google music at 320kb/s. i don't see why service would have gotten so crappy lately since sprint sure as heck hasn't had a large influx of customers. it was getting better few months ago, now it's back to crap. i'm temped to dump sprint even though i've got the sero plan. crappy service at a good price is still crap.
Best thing to do would be what was suggested... Start from scratch.... I started having problems with random reboots and storage not showing.... So i used Odin to flash back to stock rooted. After that no more problems....
i had the same issue
but i start using a custom rom but a stock kernel all is good at least i think so lol
I found I had zero service tbis morning with AOSP. Flashed back to Twiz, updated my prl for the first time in forever... And back up
