Flashed i9100 rom by mistake, how to fix? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

A friend of mine accidentally flashed an i9100 rom onto his Hercules and now it is not responding at all, not to my jig, not to power buttons, etc.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

You can try and get in touch with this guy, he says he's the first to be able to fix ours phones... His name is connexion2005 but idk if it's true or not.

I think we'll just opt to use his T-mo insurance if it can't be fixed with ODIN and such. Thanks though!

That is your only fix. Or sending it to Samsung but has the same effect.

Epic 4G Dead, wont respond to anything.

Ive flashed hundreds of epics, but when I Odin'd an EC05 Modem only on a Stock Rooted EF02 GB Rom, the phone went to reboot and... NOTHING
Black Screen
Will not respond to the charger, USB Cable, or any combination of buttons.
As if there is no battery installed.
Anyone else ran into this problem? Ive never seen this before.
Hundreds of posts and threads on bricked Epics. This might have happened due to a faulty cable, get a Blackberry one. Try popping the batery in and out a bunch of times while trying after each to get into download mode. If that don't work, let it sit for awhile then try it without the battery using the usb cable and computer as a power source.

Okay to flash roms after water damage?

So I dropped my S3 in water a few nights ago (doh!). I left it in rice for a day as advised, and it had since been operating as usual. Would this water episode disrupt or negatively affect flashing roms in the future?
Thanks in advance.
Btw I'm fairly new. Been rooted for under a month.

Not to be a ****, but we're supposed to use our magical powers to detect if the subtle circuitry inside of your phone is short circuited... how?
Yes, it's possible that when your phone took a dive something shorted which could cause an issue with flashing ROMs. It's also possible that nothing at all is wrong with your phone since it appears to work fine.
Or, I'm just a random person on the internet like everyone else who would potentially respond with no more or no less accurate of an answer for you because none of us are omnipotent.
If the phone works. You can flash

Thanks. I figured as much. Obviously not expecting anyone on here to be some sort of god, but it couldn't hurt to ask some more seasoned guys? Maybe this happened to someone and they tried it? Again, thanks.

Bought the SII on eBay for Cheap - Little Problem

Hi guys,
I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy SII on eBay. I decided to take the plunge even though the seller said it was for "parts and not working". He said the problem he was having was that the phone would shut off by itself, no matter what he did. He said this happened maybe once every 10 times he pressed the sleep button.
I got it yesterday and started messing around with it. I haven't encountered the problem yet but I only used it for a few hours. I proceeded to successfully root the device and flashed a custom ROM (CyanogenMod 10 - JB 4.1.1) and it seems to work ok. I'm not using the phone yet and I guess I was just wondering if you think the problem may have just "gone away". If it did, I would feel very lucky. I won't know for sure until I start using the phone regularly, but I needed a reliable phone today at work and that's why I didn't bring it with.
Any thoughts on what could cause this issue and possible solutions are appreciated. I've read some people say it's related to the CPU or the button itself, or perhaps even the battery. The owner had never rooted the phone so he was just running the regular T-Mobile Gingerbread rom.
Thanks and Happy Friday!
Probably the power button problem

Thanks for answering, Teo. If it's that, it should be fairly simple to fix. I'll report back just in case somebody is having the same issue.
Since the JB ROM's suffer from random restarts and sleep of death issues, I would recommend flashing an ICS ROM. This will get you a more stable environment for testing, so if the device suddenly shuts it self off, you'll know it's not the ROM.

+1 to this suggestion. Flash a ROM that is known to be stable so you can confirm the original issue. I'd suggest stock (gb or ics, doesn't matter) for the best test environment.
Thank you guys! Your responses are greatly appreciated!

Why don't you either send to Samsung under warranty or put insurance on it and have it fixed

I bought it used on eBay, I'm not the original owner. And I didn't see the SquareTrade warranty option for this purchase, perhaps because it was under "For parts & not working". I haven't come across the problem yet. I have flashed a few different roms (ICS) but every one of them has given me some type of problem. I'm still using my very reliable myTouch 4G and I'm starting to doubt if I really want to dump it for the SII.

I'm keeping my MT .. at least for now. I actually paid more for it than for the SII! I'm using the SII full time and keeping the htc for backup. Im running Toasted Marshmallow on the htc and I like it a lot. I tried JK on the SII but gave me problems so I'm sticking to Team Chopstick for now.

Will Samsung notice?

Hi guys, I made the rookie mistake of flashing a international rom on my Galaxy S3 (SGH-T999) and now I have a very expensive paper holder. I called Samsung and they told to send it over for them to fix it, but they also told me that if it was water damage, misuse, etc... That I would be charge for the repair. Well to the point. My question is, will they notice that it was something I flashed or the custom recovery?
Most likely that they will.
Have you tried Odin with a stock tar?
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
$60 for a JTAG I think.

Guys just to let you know that the ebay guy is legit. Took the chance and send the phone to him on the 2nd of February and just got today (8th of February) working 100%. Guy has great communication and let me know how everything was going. That was the experience I had. Hope nobody has a bad flash or anything but if you do this is an option. Thanks to everyone for your input and suggestions.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy SII (SGH-T989): flashed wrong kernel, no sign of boot

I accidentally flashed a siyah kernel (v 4.0.1) intended for the Internation Galaxy SII (i9100) onto my T-Mobile Galaxy SII (SGH-T989). For some reason i overlooked "FOR i9100" and now that i've flashed it there is no sign of life.
It was rooted with the AOKP Milestone Build 6 ROM flashed and working perfectly until i flashed the kernel
No vibration when holding the Power Button, Power&Vol+&Vol-, connecting a USB Jig, a USB wall charger, nor a regular USB. It isn't recognized in ODIN nor Kies when I try these different combinations of buttons and connections.
I have it connected to the USB wall charger and letting it sit for a while, still just a black screen.
Does anyone have a solution to this predicament?

I have but I see it costs around $50 to repair it that way, and T-Mobile charges me $25 to replace the entire phone. I want to do anything possible to fix the phone i have now with my own hands and if it turns out I can't then I'll just send it to T-Mobile. :/
