Could someone please make a flashable zip for the Touchwiz Music Player? Probably one of the best Music Players for android and I really want it on CM9. Thanks.
It needs touchwiz removed from the apk for it to work on cm, u could ask Tortel1210 in his thread?
That being said, id probably give it a go for a while if he did it

Is there a way to get the Music player app from touchwiz onto CM9? Also, does MMS work over wifi in CM9 or not because it is an AOSP ROM?
Edit:
If anyone wants to try and make the Apk. itself then here are the instructions:
http://epiccm.blogspot.com/2012/01/porting-touchwiz-apps-for-cm7.html
Also, if you too want this app for CM7/CM9 there is a thread where you can make suggestions to do so here:

There is a thread in Apps subforum with current ported TW apps. The author is taking requests and also provided a procedure to attempt porting yourself.
MMS over wifi has nothing to do with it being an AOSP ROM, it is just not completely working right yet. It will try to send but only a 20% chance it will work. Use GoSMS as a workaround if yours fails.
Boo!

I saw you post in the tw app ports thread and noticed the equalizer is what made you go back to tw. DSP manager works great as the equalizer built into cyanogenmod.

I had seen before on MIUI that MMS would not work over wi-fi due to the fact that it was an AOSP ROM. But thanks for the GoSMS tip

Thanks man! Still miss the look and smoothness of it so I may just manually find a way but for now the DSP manager Sounds pretty darn good CM9 FTW!!!
There's an even better music player for CM9, it's bomb. But not included in CM9, instead we have an ugly stock one, just like cm7. I think we'll get the new music player once CM9 reaches a RC0 state.

Could anyone who has ported the stock MusicPlayer.apk to CM9 post it here! I've been trying to do this for weeks and i cant seem to get it right (mainly because I have no experience with command prompt). It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
couldn't you just pull the apk and stick it in to system?

Nope as it requires TouchWiz stuffs which CyanogenMod does not have.

'Pleez'! New from the makers of Cheez Whiz.
You can download the Android Music Player from the Market and replace the one you have. It is exactly the same player.

The music player is one of the reasons I almost never flash miui or cm7
Honestly the music quality got better for me when I stopped using 5.1 and started using a custom equalizer and sound effect
For custom equalizer I use 4-3-2-1-1-2-3-4
And for effect I use bass enhance
The custom equalizer increases treable and some bass too

Yeah I tried others, but they don't come close to the touchwiz music player. I really want it on CM9.

I have tried a lot of music players but the one that has captivated me is the stock music app of galaxy s but since I flashed a custom rom I have not been able to find it. Can anyone tell me where I can download it.

Take it from an deodexed stock ROM... Not sure if it'll work, but I can definetely say that it's a bad player for better in-ears. I use Apollo from CM9.

I'm on 2.3.5 XXJVU unrooted. I prefer Apollo to stock as well. Although, I'm not sure if it is compatible with GB. Would you know if there is anyway I can have it ?
Afaik Apollo doesn't work with GB. So you have a stock ROM without Music Player?

I'm on the official unrooted 2.3.5 Stock ROM and that comes with the stock music player. I wish Apollo was compatible with GB.

Oh sorry, I thought you'd be the OP .
OP, sorry if I diverted your thread in any away.
I got it from rooting a stock galaxy s and transferring with blue tooth file transfer. Now it's left with the installation.

it wont work because it needs the touchwiz framework.
Some people tried to let it run on all roms but a coded code in the app makes problems

i love this music player more than any others and i would use miui just for the music playing but for some reason miui dont seem to work for me :S anyways can someone please point me in the direction of a working miui music player for all JB Roms???
if there isnt one can you please tell me an alternative/ similar music player?
Please and thank you
What do you mean Miui doesn't seem to work for you? Hoppermi and Maybeiknowsomething both have Miui jellybean ports and both work fabulously.

you sent a link for a smiley? :L
Yep, I had no luck extracting and installing the Miui music, clock (really, reaaally nice clock/stopwatch/timer app), file explorer, compass, and sound recorder.
If someone more knowledgeable knows how and feels like modifying them to be universally installable, here's a (obviously non-flashable) zip.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3204639/MiuiApps.7z
Once I tried to install MIUI ICS music player to ICS and it didn't install it and then once I tried to install it to JB and didn't work too, so I think it's not possible without the framework.miui-res.apk or what is the file.. ?
It would be nice to use MIUI music player on Jelly Bean ROMs because the Google music player does not work correctly on my Nexus so have to use CM9 music player..
at least gingerbread MIUI music player worked somehow on ICS..
The newer MIUI music can't be installed, it needs deep implementations of the framework.jar from miui

And that's where the part of it needing the framework.jar comes in.

Yeah was fixing to say.. it will work once you find a port but a lot of the key options are broken. Like uber said though, it requires framework.

Anyone have a working APK of the wonderful MIUI recorder compatible with (and installable on) CyanogenMod 10? Maybe someone with the latest MIUI installed can make a Titanium backup of the APK and post here. I love the audio-cassette layout!
Ok, I've had no success installing the apk for the stock music player through Titanium Backup onto CM10. Is there a way around it? If so, how? I like the fact that the widget shows the playlist on the screen and I can scroll through it. If there is another music player that can do this in the widget, please let me know so maybe I can try that out as well. Thank you.
The thing is that it relies on tw framework
And can't be used without it
Cm10 removes it completely so the music player won't work
Also people have tried and failed many rimes porting the player from the s1 and s2
I'm not to sure about the s3 but I don't think anyone is going to try
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Emperor using psycommu
OK, thank you for this. Can you think of any music player that has a widget than can expand and having a scrolling playlist like this player currently does?
Sorry bro but I don't use the widget
I reccomend making a new question cause this thread title causes many people to ignore it
