Theme (REQUEST) non pitch black Status Bar - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Can anybody make a theme for the ICS roms out there, that have a status bar background color that isn't pitch black one. Or if possible teach me how to theme an ICS rom. I had no problem theming GB rom but ICS is different.
This is what I'm talking about. A theme where the status bar isn't pitch black. I made this theme for a GB rom but I'm having a hard time doing the same with an ICS roms.

Just for giggles and grinns, I'm running Calk's stock_rooted_FC07 rom w/ the ICS.statusbar_dialer_settings_MMS_for FC07 theme. Not sure whose theme but I have a nice blue ICS effect going EXEPT for a white clock in the status bar, all other icons are blue or flash blue. Would like to know how to change clock from white to blue. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ahead......

not sure if an app like rom Toolbox would do that or not, it may. If not, you'd need to decompile the systemui.apk and edit colors.xml in Res/values - there's a line for status clock color...if I understand your question correctly. But that would take a lil' work

That sounds promising, that that involve android sdk or can that be done with a simple PC program like notepad.

I believe you need up to date sdk on the comp for decompile and recompile to work, I had to transfer the updated aapt file from android sdk to apktool and apk manager for most recompiles to work as well . If you've never done any of that I'd check into whether certain root apps could do it for you. If you end up trying and have issues feel free to shoot me a pm.

Thanks for the info, Ihave some web page developing experience and would like to give it a try so I'll be doing some research over the weekend @ Android Developers, unless you can recomend a better site to start at. Gonna look into some root apps in the mrket and see what i find.
Thanks again, Pp.

[Q] UOT Overscroll Glow

I am running the OTA leak rom from Incubus and have made a few changes to the SystemUI.apk file via the UOT kitchen. I see an option for Overscroll Glow and was wondering if anybody could explain to me what that is?
Thanks,
Jeff
Open your app drawer and scroll to the end, you see the glow. It's basically to let you know there's nothing left to scroll to

Thank you. I don't have any glow at the end, but that is probably because I have not done the mod yet via the kitchen.

HTC Sense ROM's don't have the overscroll glow, I guess HTC didn't like it or something. But it's easily added back.

Actually all HTC Sense GB roms did have the overscroll. HTC has just simply changed the color to indexed black so it would be hidden.
BTW, for those people curious of the location of the overscroll glow:
Extract framework-res.apk and navigate to framework-res\res\drawable-hdpi.
Look for these two images: overscroll_edge.png and overscroll_glow.png. Thats the overscroll images. Also look at any of these new OTA GB roms and you'll see what I mean by HTC has blacked them out. How do we remedy this? Using a program such as gimp, open the image and change it from indexed mode to rgb and then just change the hue to whatever you like.
To be honest I added it in through the UTO Kitchen and wasn't crazy about it. Went back to not using it for now.
I put it in via UOT also, and so far I kind of like it. I am going to stick with it for a bit. Thanks for all of the help.

[REQ] Need Ideas for EG22 theme!

Hey guys, Im sure some of you have seen some of the things I have worked on thus far. Some of them are pretty nice, some are meh.. I admit.. HAHA.. Im still learning!!
Anyway, I'm looking to take on my first 'big' project for EG22 and will port to EH06/EH17 and EC05 after.
I am wanting to create a pretty much FULL theme thats not really based on anything else.
Some things I would like to concentrate on for the sake of battery life is a darker theme.. something simple, crisp and subtle, nothing to flashy or out there.
Some of the things I am looking to theme are:
/system/app
framework-res.apk
DialerTabActivity.apk
Phone.apk
twframework-res.apk (possibly, i believe thats just for TouchWiz launcher, isn't it? I haven't used TW since i found out about launcher Pro)
MMS.apk (Black/XXX themed)
Swype.apk (Black/XXX themed)
Gingerbread Keyboard (Black/XXX themed)
Deskclock.apk
/data/app (things to theme more or include)
Black Gmail (black/XXX themed)
Black Facebook (black/XXX themed)
Black Market
Black Mini Dolphin
Black XDA
Black ScreenShot
I would also like to do a comprehensive matching icon pack (have to look into it more, last time i tried i got some FC's) I'm thinking very simple icons that are mostly GrayScale with some time of glow (to match the theme color). Widget Icons will have some transparency to them also.
Some of my ideas for a theme are along the lines of a Black Steel or something with Blacks and Grey(Steel) colors with some time of subtle dark red/blue/green mixed in.
something with roughly this look
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
my goal would be to make something that looks nice and classy, but saves on battery a bit while the display is active.
EG22? What's that?
Derp.
Why no EH17? Or for that matter EC05?
Tw-framework has nothing to do with TWlauncher. Its the part of the framework that controls the pulldown toggles, the pulldown background some menu icons, etc. Also, the 4G icon is in framework-res.apk/Res/drawable-hdpi-en. They usually get overlooked lol

LOL ... he already mentions he will port to EH17 and EC05 once he has this one done
You should check out the steel theme that was for 2.2 it was lighter than this but same kinda feel. I'm horrible with links so I don't have one for ya but its in the theme directory in the stickies.

Are you going to port to ei22. If so a gta theme would be cool.

[REQ] Transparent Power Control Widget

Hey everyone.
Was wondering if anyone could theme the Power Control widget to be transparent?
I'd use third-parties application but they are all limited with the GPS toggle going into the settings, so I'd like to be able the google one as much as possible, but the damn thing is fuggly sitting on my desktop.
I second that motion. Looking for a transparent power control widget similar to the stock widget.
I'd love to be able to change the transparency of the power control widget.
Try switch pro it's highly customizable and you can make it transparent https://market.android.com/details?id=alei.switchpro&hl=en

but the icon are old...not ICS icon!
this would need to be done within the Settings.apk, as that's what the Power Control Widget is a part of. in fact, i believe it's the appwidget_bg_holo.9.png within that apk.

Did the op ask for ICS themed icons? I just don't think these look that bad http://i54.tinypic.com/dwvsqe.png
And this similar ics version within switch pro you can alter colour to blue etc

Here you go. Morph and MOD both attached. JellyBean Only.
Mod uses Settings.apk 4.1.1 from ParanoidAndroid 1.9.1 (CM10 Maguro JB)
The Modded APK may not work on any other ROM.The attached Morph is a better option.
To install the MOD, overwrite your file in /system/app/
Good idea to backup your /system/app/Settings.apk first.
Code:
adb remount
adb push Settings.apk /system/app/
Morph (the zip file) attached as well, Use Metamorph to apply and then reboot. How?
Enjoy!
Edit: Updated Morph, folder names are case sensitive in the latest metamorph.
Morphed and working great on Mmuzzy's latest 4.2 / Tiny's... Thanks for the hook up!

Transparent Dialer

Since I've set all my screens with transparent widgets I wanted to have a transparent dialer/contact list as well.
Here are few shots from my homescreens:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I wanted badly for my dialer to look similar to my home screens and this what I came up with:
So far I was able to make all buttons transparent for in call status of the phone but I cant find where the black background is defined.
Here are screenshots of new phone apk and link is below if someone would like to use it till I make it transparent:
May be someone will enjoy this transparency as well so here are links to modified Contacts.apk and Phone.apk.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?6vxah8zagg8avy3 (Phone.apk)
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?binzd778jmd1i9g (New Phone.apk)
For those of you who likes ICS theme and would like to have a transparent dialer
And links
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?5wrlllwmyz2adsm ICS Contacs.apk
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?shgn7xrr71s7v7j ICS Phone.apk
I'm kinda new to this phone so I didn't make flashable zip because I didn't wanna break anything.
You can adb push this apps to you phone in recovery:
adb push Contacts.apk /system/app/Contacts.apk
or you can copy it to your sd card and move it to /system/app/ using root explorer. If you choose second method you would need to reboot the phone for apps to work.
If any one wanna step in and make a flashable zip that would be nice and I can learn how to by looking into it.
Thanks for posting this up, I'm sure it'll get lots of hits!...do the calling and incoming call screens look transparent as well or have they been left alone? And if its been modified, could you post screenies of those as well? TIA!
Now working to make in call screen and dialer transparent as well.
Did it for my previous phone and hopfully can do it for this one as well.
Very nice, looking forward to additional transparent goodies, pushing now
Btw, is there any way we can pick our own wallpaper or does it already display our homescreen paper?
