Hi,
I flashed mildwild today. (my second rom, I had Insert Coin first)
But for some reason I've the same wallpaper after the flash as before.
Is this just coincidence? Or did I do something wrong. Everything else is changed...

It's also in the browser and whatsapp input fields.

wallpaper issue is a bit weird, not seen that before. full wipe before flash? if everything else still works though...
i believe the text field is just part of the matching blue ICS theme by mildwild. if you can't live with it, it may take some manual editing in the framework or systemUI files (not sure which one) as i don't think this is covered in something like UOT. or switch rom to something a bit less odd.
i don't know about the lock screen delay, may be some option within settings to adjust it.

Happened to me a lot of times, nothing to worry about
If your phone is set to keep backed up with Google, it will download and install your previous wallpaper, even if it was from a different ROM.

So since am new and i cant post in the Dev section am hoping some one can let PhantomHacker know about a little cosmetic problem i found in the lock screen clock, the problem only occurs when there is 3 digits say for example (5:30) only, i noticed that the AM & PM is slight below the clock digits when its suppose to be aligned with the time. when there is 4 digits example (10:30) everything is nice and perfect. i have attached 2 pic with examples.
That wouldn't bother me at all...I'm runnin that rom but I use Widget Locker or Magic Locker...They do the same thing and either of them have way more options to use if you don't happen to like a particular view...
Seems pretty minor. One thing you can try (No idea if it will help though) is go to settings > display > screen display > lockscreen clock position.... and change it to middle or top, then move it back to the bottom and see if that fixes anything.
Good catch, but I do have to agree that it is a minor issue. I have been playing with this all day, and have set the clock in several locations, just to see what taste I prefer, and it does not make a difference. It doesn't bother me, but I hear what you are saying. Being new sucks right now, as there are several thing I would like to put up, but can't.

@Admin/mods: can you please delete this thread? i decided to relase my work till now and so i think it's better located in the Themes/Apps Thread. I made a new one there
Ok i think this needs a complete Edit. I just finished my work for today, so i can sum my problems up.
I want to change the Lock screen from a Sense 3.5 ROM. I'm using VTS for this.
I read and followed this Tutorial
My problem is, that the time_date has no position to change. there is only a empty container. the same problem i have with the lock ring.
Also i have the problem, that the new lock symbol is smaller, so that the icons are under the old lock ring. you can see on the pictures. The problem is, that i cannot use the sms and phone shortcut.
and the drag and drop area is a bit strange for the others.
Also i would like to remove that the clock and date disapear, when the lock ring bounces.
I hope you can help me with my problems, and i also hope it's understandable.
Also i would like to reactivate the lockscreen navbar. That's not the problem. But i also need to change it. So i need to know, where the png is stored. Is there a way to read it out from the code??
I cannot belive nobody can help me.
I worked around with this today and i get a really great result. everything is where it should be. BUT. i destroyed the shortcuts. They are still displayed, i can move them around, everything is great. But they don't unlock the screen
I really have no idea. I changed some Scale, Position and visiable lines. At what line i can destroy the shortcuts??
I really need your help with this.
And one other question. I don't like to flash my new apk and reboot,.. so i pushed it with adb, and it works. but it still uses the old apk. only when i change the lockscreen to weather, or clock,... it will also change it on the lockscreen. So while playing around with this i got the problem that i removed the ring, and so i couldn't unlock XD. So is there maybe a adb command that will reload the lockscreen apk??
Thank you
Hi,
I need some help.
After instaling 2013.01.01_cm-9_UNOFFICIAL-BUZZ ay first moment everithing was O.K.
The first thing what i did was to change the language. After that the main screen i thing resizes and the icons in the bottom of the screen disapered. When i put my finger in the bottom end of the screen can move them top to the screen, but the buton for the menu can't be moved.
Also when somebody calling me i think there have to be red symbol on the left and green simbol on the right - I cant see them.
How to resize screen to see the icons on the main screen?
When i install gapps it update the operating system, the phone restarts, ask for pin, apears an android and sayes "touch android to start" and after thet sayes setup stop working and have to install again 2013.01.01_cm-9_UNOFFICIAL-BUZZ to work normaly.
No body can't help me?
Have you tried a different ROM? Sometime some ROMs aren't resized to fit wildfire's screen.
Cheers

I didnt understand your first issue so i'll skip that.
To receive calls or to reject them, you need to pull the ring towards left or right.
Regarding gapps, you have installed gingerbread gapps, which wont work on ics,you need to download and install ics gapps.

I know that to receive calls or to reject them i have to pull the ring to the left or to the right. But i think that there have to be a green ring on the left and a red on the right - there are no rings there.
To explain clear the first think i am attaching a picture. This line is outside the screen down.
Before changing language was O. K.
I didn't understand you about gapps.

For the first issue,I guess you have 3 pages on the dock below, try swiping it..it might help.
Second thing, there are no green and red buttons since ics in aosp roms.
And for gapps,

download this.

I know that there are 3 pages. As I explain in the first post the screen resizes and they disappear down, outside the screen. When i push my finger to the end of the screen i can take them and move up in the screen, but the central button for the menu can't be moved.
I suppose you're using trebuchet launcher, tried using apex or nova?

What? That I can't understand.
Go to play store and search for nova launcher, install it and see if it solves your problem.
try to flash the CM9 rom and the GApps again.
it can help u.
or try an other launcher like Wasimk32 says

Flashing the rom will not helps - I have flashed it maybe 7-8 times.

Thank you very much Wasimk32. Gapps successful installed, nova launcher solved the problem with the screen.
Happy to hear that.
Mistaken.
This evening when I unlocked (as in, from the lock screen) my Verizon HTC One M8 it appeared that the Sense home screen was stuck between two panels. Icons and widgets were half way off the left side of the screen. I tried to move them over but it kept putting them back to the left. I swiped through my panels and all of them are like that. I tried to remove widgets/icons/panels but nothing has helped. I've also shutdown and rebooted to no avail. It seems like the panels have gone from being tall rectangles to squares. It's making my home screen impossible to use. Has anyone else ever had this problem?
Version: 1.12.605.11, s-off, rooted, TWRP, stock (only a few frozen bloatware). All of the modifications were made shortly after s-off was released, no changes made since then.
I have some screenshots that I'll post shortly.
Thanks.

You could restore to the backup you made before doing any changes? Sounds like you froze the wrong thing. You could try unfreezing. If you have no backup you can download one or flash a Rom. All the high end roms work on all m8 variants.

Have you tried deleting them and replacing them?
EDIT: nevermind missed that in the OP. Try deleting the homescreen they're supposed to be placed on?

Thanks for the replies.
After trying a bunch of things, changing the font size seems to have reset everything to normal. A very odd bug, almost as if Sense was stuck in landscape mode while the display was portrait.
Quick question, I have seen a couple of places how to remove the white frames from around the icons.
Should be Settings > Display > Icon frames.
However in my new T-Mobile Note 7, that option is greyed out. I can't click on it to change the settings.
Has anyone else seen this? I would love some assistance.
Thanks in advance!

I think this option only works if you don't have a custom theme applied. If you switch back to the default theme, the option should be available again.
I've noticed the same thing using default thene.

Maybe just download a frameless icon pack you like.
Having this problem too. Wonder if it's got to do with the system update that got applied on the first day?
Same possibly here. I'm on T-Mobile with default theme. I would like to remove the frame.
I have only been able to change this setting whike in easy mode (which i don't like). It is greyed out for me in standard mode as well.
Ok, I figured it out. I'm using Nova Launcher and Sammy doesn't like that. I changed to touch wiz for my launcher and suddenly Icon frames are available to change.
I changed back to Nova again afterwards, and the change stuck, so it seems to be a reasonable workaround.
Let me know if this works for you.
I don't have a custom launcher but I do have a theme. I deactivated the theme and it worked. I guess the theme locked the borders on. Sucks.
Yeah so I don't think it's launcher specific but rather theme based. Once you apply a theme it seems to lock in whatever the icon choice was. So I went back to default theme (which opened up the option again), changed to icon only, and then applied my theme again. Now it's locked again, but as icon only.
I have no theme and stock launcher and it is still greyed out. Switched to easy mode, made the change and went back and all is well now.

Has anyone had any luck removing the frames and using the Google Now Launcher? I can turn it off in TouchWiz and Easy Mode, but as soon as I switch back to Google Now Launcher they come back and the option to turn them off becomes I unavailable.
I might not mind these damned circles if it was consistent, but it only affects about half the app icons and the other half are normal. It's crazy to look at...
Yeah it seems like the only way to get them to stay TRULY off is to use touchwiz, using the standard them.
I know everyone is saying you can switch to off, then go back to what you were on - and it is "locked in off". I agree that it looks this way in the settings.
However the icons clearly have the frames around them still.
I have stuck with touchwiz for how smooth it is, but I think I am going to give up on it.
Also, the only reason why I say its smooth is because my initial setup was with "good lock" (needed to download an apk for that as it doesn't show up in store) and google now launcher and stuff - but there was a decent amount of choppiness and also the battery was not performing to my expectations. So I did a factory reset (which some people say fixes stuff like this) and sure enough, things got better. Battery better, smoothness better. However I have stuck with normal touchwiz since then... been afraid to change it since everything seems better now lol.
I hear you.
I had to try several different icon themes but i found one (that i like) that doesn't leave borders on the rest of the icons. I think it's some sort of default setting that goes unchanged when custom themes are created.
Trial and error. Good thing the Samsung theme store has a preview option. It reduces a lot of hassle.

Same here. I ended up going back to TouchWiz mostly because I couldn't stand the weird frames on some of the icons. It's not as good as the Google Now launcher, but it's good enough.
I've been searching for this answer for weeks, finally I found it, nearly started to think my device was faulty.
My option is unavailable and I have stock Rom and launcher.
But this option was available but not anymore. Can't understand why???
