[Q] Where/How do i start?

Dear all,
I just bought myself a Galaxy S. It is locked to Bouygues in France and with Android 2.2.
I am totally new to these devices and i would like to unlock it and also to get Android 2.3 on it.
How should i start? (first unlock, then update the ROM, or get a ROM from xda - I used to do that with a Qtek...)

Welcome to the SGS forums, I would recommend you read the stickies at the top of this forum first.
If you look in the Apps section I think there is an app that will let you unlock for free (think it's on the android market too).

May I also say welcome, but would also like to point out that this question should be in q & &, please read the forum rules and FAQ's then you will be better equipped to proceed, I hope all goes well

[Req] Anyone have a Bell GT-N5120 stock rom available?

I can't seem to find any Bell or Rogers stock ROMS for the Note 8.
I didn't realize there was a 5120, and tried to flash a 5110 insecure image.
I can't believe, that after many months, no one has ripped and uploaded the stock ROM, and no one has has provided a rom that I can find yet.
SOMEONE ... please help.
BTW I tried "N5120XXCMH2_N5120OXACMH2_N5120XXCMG7_HOME" via ODIN and it fails.
I tried "KERNEL-BTU-N5120XXCMH1-1375359679" and the screen gets artifacts. (BUT I can get into CWM and/or Download mode).

Ah, yea, I realize I'm at the mercy of Bell to release the update for the software ... I didn't choose the tablet. I won it from MobileSyrup.com

I am having Samsung galaxy s3 international version running on Android Jellybean 4.1.2 with base band version as 19300XXEMA5 . Upto today I have not found a rooting tutorial prescribed for 19300XXEMA5 firmware. Pls help me on rooting my phone. Also guide me on rooting by a small tips and tutorial...... :good:

I came here to ask the community for help i was wondering if anyone could make or get me a combination file for my AT&T note 5 running android 7.0 on my boot loader its showing N920AUCS5ERA2 / NRD90M MODEL SM-N920A this will be used to restore this phone to get to remove frp
