I opened up tibackup and system Rom only has 15mb free. What exactly is this? Do I need to be concerned with this? If so how can I free up more? Sdext, internal storage smd sdcard ate all good. I'm running energy Rom with anthrax kernel.

That's about normal for.3.5. Rom uses alot of system space. As long as you don't install too much into system/app your fine. All apps you download get stored in data/app so that's not an issue.

My apps go to my positioned sdcard via dark tremors a2sd so I guess I'm all good...thanks

try running a2sd cachesd, which move the dalvik-cache to sd. Makes for MAJOR room
Yup...dalvik already moved to sd... And that fed up ton of room on internal storage, just system Rom that is about full

not a big deal, really, for System ROM to be close to full

I noticed there's an option in titanium backup. My question is when I go to flash a new rom how do these get wiped or do they need to be?

when i flash the STOCK fw.. i always remove the bloatware to get a bigger internal memory.. but after installed my apps.. internal memory shows below 100mb.. its not acceptable when i move a 12mb app to memory card, but it just reduce about 2mb on internal memory.. ive flash that 420mb data partition.. just imagine if i not flash that, my internal memory must be as low as 20mb AFTER i remove the bloatware.. mad!!!! :S
for record, i've wipe data, cache and dalvik cache before install my apps.. can someone explain this??
its just keep reduce my internal memory by time.. now my internal memory is 50mb without bloatware. -.-
anyone??
Currently using link2sd with 200mb free. Not using the 420mb version though.

Try a mounts2sd script should solve all your space woes

I think it's because apps on the SD card still have data on the phone. Some are worse than others.

If your trying to download from market try clearing cashe in manageing apps, that usually does the trick.
If your tring to reinstalle it with a B/U it could be corrupted or permissions may have gotten borked. If thats the case you will have to reD/L from market anyway.
If that does not work try giving more info on how your trying to install it.

OK so I did a clean install of Mijjz's rom. It won't let me install xda app from restore or even when I download from the play store. It is not installed on my phone so I can't even clear the cache. Says not installed could not install on internal external SD. All other apps and downloads are fine. Only other issue I had was trying to restore data to email but had to do it manually since it kept causing exchange to force close.
I had to use my backup pro titanium wouldn't restore it or install from market.

The cache you want to clear is the play store cache.
Also try unmounting your ext SD card.

What about pushing the app in to system/app then set permissions then reboot?

Haven't used the rom....but is that the only app that does that?

The rom is pretty amazing looking and smooth. No other apps have been a problem with the rom

Will loading a custom rom automatically allow app2sd to work. I have not noticed it listed as a feature in the description of any roms. Is there a way to get it working with stock room and being rooted? I have seen a script that swaps the internal storage for Sd but I am not sure I want to go that route.

How much internal memory should I have left a after flashing a room.
I'm on liquidsmooth 2.3 official and I have like 1 gb of internal mem left. I was flashing 4.1.1 roms earlier to see if I wanted to change roms and I noticed that I also had only about 1-2 gb of internal mem left.
Should I be having more? I need 2gb for a game that I just bought and I can't do that if I only have 1 gb left over

Depends how many files you have on your internal memory. You probably have too many, I have 8.92gb available

Am I wiping my data wrong? I usually do a factory reset then wipe cache and d cache. Am I suppose to format data? I'm using twrp

Factory reset will only delete apps in internal memory and some settings, no other things.. If you use format data it will delete everything in your internal memory but I would be very careful with that because you would obviously lose any files, backups, pictures, or any other things you have in there.. Just browse your internal memory with a file explore and clean anything you don't want or need anymore, or simply back everything up and completely wipe it

Formating doesn't wipe my sd card does it? Think I read that in twrp it wipes sd card. Or is this false?

Formatting data? No it shouldn't, but just take it out to have a piece of mind lol.. It'll only wipe the internal sd
