I downloaded an app's .apk from the internet and installed it onto my phone. Now that there's a sale going on in the marketplace, I tried to uninstall the app so I could buy the paid version of it. However even after the app was uninstalled, the Google Play wouldn't let me download the app. Any ideas on how to download the app? I already tried to clear the cache and data for the marketplace to no avail.
Thank you.

Anyone else install the new Kongegrate Arcade that has all the flash games?
I installed and it just freezes at the main screen then eventually force closes. Wondering if it's something to do with being rooted and running a custom rom?
I'm very interested in this as well I'm a long time user of kongregate's online arcade and would absolutely kill to have it on my phone so I'm running official update now and will update in a heartbeat to 2.2 if this works!

I think there might be a hulu mod built into that rom but I know I deleted the actual app bc I don't use it. I'm running the most recent version, 2.0.07.
My flash is version v10.1.106.15 according to Ti Backup.
Edit* I just uninstalled and reinstalled flash and still getting the same problem. Oh well. I'll wait for a reply in the dev section of my rom.

Even though you uninstalled it, have you gone in and cleared the data and cache for that app to see if something from the first install is messing with it running? With the app installed:
Settings->Applications->Manage Applications->Arcade by kongregate->Press on 'Clear Data' and 'Clear Cache'
Personally, I am running Quantum 2.5 with the Hulu Mod, and am having no issues running the app.

Deleting the apk and putting mine in it's place with root explorer should work. I always use adb to push it there. It will have to be installed this way for now, at least until I get an updated flash-able zip for this phone.

You should still be able to download it if you had it in the past. Look under My apps > All
I couldn't find it on the Play Store when I searched using the Play app. I Googled "Flash Player 11 apk" (from my phone) and saw the link to it on the web Play store. Hit the link, and chose to open it with the Play Store app rather than the Web and it came up fine. Was able to install it from there, but just searching for it on the phone in the Play store yielded no results. Weird.
BTW, still on Rooted Stock 4.0
In case anyone wants the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.adobe.flashplayer&hl=en
Although as others have stated, it is no longer supported by Adobe and active development has ceased in hopes HTML5 takes off.
Sort of on this subject. Samsung Apps store (the webpage) just removed all references to T999 and anything but i9300. There was a free app that is listed for the T999, and you can even find it in google cache, but no US devices are supported by the store.

Are you on 4.0 still or are you running a 4.1 rom? 4.0 should still let you install, but since they have stopped support for anything beyond 4.0, it will give you the incompatible device error. Either way, if you're looking for the .apk and are on 4.1 I've attached it to this post.

Thanks for the tip how ever I was unable to get it to work
just released today, get it here! link below...
What's New
The most notable and immediately apparent new feature is the long overdue ability to remove apps you've previously downloaded from the All Apps list. If you like to try a lot of apps, that list is likely very cluttered. With the new Google Play, you can trim it to your heart's content.
Update #1: You can multi-select by long-pressing any app in the list and then tapping more apps, then delete them all in one go (added 2 new screenshots demonstrating it).
Update #2: The new Play Store now keeps track of your location in lists, including My Apps and All Apps, so when you click into an app and back, it drops you into the same spot. I had variable luck with this, and it didn't seem to work in All Apps at first, but I just reproduced it on both the EVO LTE and the Nexus 7. Brilliant.
Update #3: The notification icon that shows up when you have app updates has changed, and notifications are now expandable. I've added more screenshots showing the differences.

Still not exiting back to last place (got to go through the list from the top) but it is ok. Now if we could sort the way we want (download date, alphabetical, paid, free, etc.), I think I'll be set.

It may be installed in /data/app on your phone. Or it is visually named something else. When I went searching for vending.apk all I saw was phonesky.apk. I identified it by the PlayStore icon next to it. I'm not sure, but I think devs can name it anything they want with no ill effects on functionality.

My devices auto updated to new Google play store and the new updates while may appear simple are a huge improvement to the store. Kudos to Google for these fixes.
Thanks for listing the new features.

Fully agreed. These improvements should've been around from the start, but we finally have them and that's all that matters.
