I can't wait to try this ROM once there are notification toggles.
Are you planning to make a battery icon with percentages? I don't like the AOSP one.

First off, I don't want anyone to think that I'm ungrateful for everything that the developers do. I am extremely grateful and appreciative of everything they do and contribute to this community and am not trying to start anything, just find some answers.
With that said though, I am currently a rooted user on 4.0.4 who is able to use books and videos. I actually just started reading Moneyball today since it was the .25¢ book of the day. So I'm a little confused as to how this doesn't work on rooted devices.
Again, just looking for some info, thanks for the rom and keep up the great work.

Books definitely does work 100%. Videos, from what I understand, you can't purchase or view purchased videos from the Market if you're rooted due to DRM. You can however still view any videos that you didn't purchase/rent from the Market no problem.

It may work now, on past devices it's never worked for me. If people are saying it works fine, then I'll add the apk back in. Thanks for letting me know! I can add books back in as well. My intention was to just keep the ROM size down by removing some apks, but those two should be fine to add back in the next update.

Just tested by renting reservoir dogs, works fine for me. I think it has to do with including the drm into the rom, I've tested using the stock 4.0.4 with a couple mods and rooted of course and its working fine.

No need to add it back in if its not a wanted/needed feature lol. The apps can always be self installed. I've never had any luck with them working up until ICS, but I just wanted to point out that I have success in getting them to work. Thanks again for the rom.

I downloaded it last night and flashed it today while I was at work and so far I am liking it better than anything else I have run. I have ran AOKP and HD Revolution with nova launcher. I guess I don't really know what the big differences are between the roms but I am loving the Apex launcher. battery life seems to be better already and internet on 3G seems to be slightly better. haven't played around much on this rom yet but can't wait to see what else is in there
really liked your roms on the incredible. keep up the good work bro.
if you have time and want to, try getting the aokp mods into your rom. would be very kickass.

*Get this program here , and install it on your PC, after you done that, you are ready to go, you won't have any icon in the desktop or something like that, to use it, go to the ROM and right click it, then click properties and on top click file hashes and it will load the numbers in a little box, then after done, put any of this 2 numbers i provided in the bar that will be almost at the bottom, then hit compare, if you have a green check you good to go, if not you will have to re-download the ROM and check it again. It’s really needed because if you get a bad download then you will suffer issues with the ROM, also in some cases it won’t even flash so you see how important is to check this numbers. Hope you don’t find it difficult to do and do it.
Place the ROM in your SD card - Not in any folder please
[*]Boot into recovery

[*]After the ROM has flashed successfully go to Advanced
There you will wipe dalvik cache and fix permissions, then reboot your phone

Go ahead man, please provide feedback as we are looking for that in order to inprove the ROM.
Just flashed this rom, and so far it feels really quick, and snappy, good job fellas, im going to post if i have any issues, but so far everything seems to be in working order, cant wait to see what your team can do!
Rom looks cool, good features, but I suggest cleaning up the post #1, its large, awkward, and hard to follow
Downloaded from rootzwiki earlier and found these problems:
Calendar doesn't sync and the default keyboard thinks everything is misspelled except contact names.. added the English dictionary in settings and no luck. Otherwise it is great

Thanks, this was just to see what you guys report and stuff, so we can fix and add.
Also its the first time that Melvin deals with source so thats why you might find few bugs and not a lot things you can play with, but as soon as he starts getting really familiar with, the ROM will have a lot of features as old versions of beastmod

You have a link or something so i can tell my partnet Melvin?
I will definitely give this a try after the stock keyboard issue is corrected. I used Melvin's Sensation ROM back when I owned that phone. It was pretty good.

We are proud to release our rom on XDA for the first time. We have been making sourcery since 2010 for the original droid. And now on the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon.
We have many mods supplied to us by the great developers here at XDA so we thought it was time to give it a go here so you can see their work implemented into our rom.
If anyone see a wrong credit or not credited please let us know we will fix it.
If you find any of your work in our tools and you want it removed let us know we will do so immediately.
Please follow these install instructions.
1)clear davlik cache
2)wipe data/cache
3)install ICSourcery V 2.0
4)install Gapps2.0
5)boot into rom and be in awe of chizzele's great boot animation

We hope you enjoy Version 2.0 of ICSourcery!!
Did you know--- ICSourcery is the rom that updates itself
-There are approx 100 softkey mods--you can change your softkeys without rebooting. and than change them to any transparency or color you choose.
-There are many battery mods--also able to change without rebooting(goto sourcery modifications /battery and turn on mods)
-All themes are right in the rom with previews and only a reboot to apply them (7 now with more coming)
-The animations that show when you change pages ..yeah you can change them too
-What about the other mods out there...you tell us and well do the mod for you and it will also appear in the rom without you have to search for them
-Over 120 boot animations(many are hdpi resolution) but xhdpi are coming daily.
-The pull downs--yup can change those too.
-Fonts-them too.
-We send you messages about updates right to your rom
-What about more apps we may like--tell us we'll add them as you can install them right through the rom also.
We have just added DeVorteX to the team as Co- Developed and are building up github and redoing source with 4.0.4 be patient But this is 4.0.3 it has many of the updates from android git that are in 4.0.4 all? no but its stable and i find it hard to find anything that 4.0.4 would add to the experience at this time.
So where do you find more info about ICSourcery....You only need 1 place the rom itself.
We hope you enjoy ICSourcery and its only getting better!!!!!!!!
Please read the live change log as the rom couldnt be as complete without the great work of other developers out there.
live change long

All, wanted to give you a quick heads up on ICSourcery….
Our team believes in support, please feel free to ask for help if you have questions. Our rom is a bit different from others and we have so many options it is hard to catch all on the 1st install. We are active in all major forums and can be found in IRC @ ##Sourcery on freenode.net, stop by and say hello!
ICSourcery is an ever updating rom, you won’t see new release versions just updates in our tools section. Changes we make to the Tools section are live and can be seen immediately. We also utilize a Push Notifications (inside the Tools and can be modified to how often to check for new alerts) to alert you to changes that you may find helpful (theme updates/changes to tools etc..)
When Loading any of the items from our ICSourcery Tools you will see them in the notification dropdown, and then it will either update or ask you to reboot and load thru rom manager or you can manually install them. If you choose to manually install you will find them on the sdcard under Init2WinitApps folder and then under the SourceryTools sub folder. Some take longer than others so please be patient (fyi - battery mods take ~4 minutes due to the # of images to update)
Thank you all and enjoy
gonna give it a go... any preferred kernel?
I normally go back to the stock kernel after testing them all...
just added 2 kernels from Ogdobber... only ran a few mins but seem fast.
Franco and lean kernel have run well for me in the past. My phone has never ran KangBang well, but others have had good luck with it.
Long story short, really just preference
have you tried it with Nova launcher?
I have not tried Nova in some time.. on 1.0 i didnt have any issues with it, so am assuming it will run fine in 2.0 as well. Try it, let me know how it works for you.
Very nice guys! Thank you for this..

Its the theme design for the theme we used stock..
there are 6 other themes including a close to stock ics theme that is more clear.
and doesn't have that issue all in the rom under tools theme engine.
Xkape is still working at perfecting the theme and will be available in theme manager when he does.

We hope lack of posts is due to lack of bugs

To start off... i am in no way responsible if your phone explodes when flashing this file... So since the leak and port of 4.1(jellybean) to our beloved VZW nexus, I have been running and testing every combination of ROM/ kernel released. This ROM is my interpretation of an all in one fix for the problems everyone has been experiencing, GPS, boot loop, WiFi, etc... This ROM is definitely not for everyone, as I have addressed all the issues in experiencing a fully functional 4.1 operating system, I have also personalized it to MY liking in doing so. Lol. My deepest apologies in advance if you do give my ROM a shot and flash it, then want to punch me in the face for waisting your time. I will also note that I have included the latest build of faux's kernel (build 17), some people will not even attempt to flash this rom after stating that but OK here we go...
WORKS:
- 3g/4g
-wifi/ tether
-MMS
-Gapps(included in package)
-root
-busybox
-gps is on point
-i did also pack the ICS vs. Black theme
-search-back-home-recent-menu navigation bar ( one of those personalized things sorry )
-build.prop tweaks (mainly GPS and proximity settings )
-lockscreen shortcut (press menu, search icon is obsolete sorry)
-internal OPTIMIZATIONs

Questions on ROM
1st I Thank You for your work.
On first install over TR4NSCEND ROM (that has a great file manager, better than astro - wish I knew the name) strange things happened! Cleared all before the install etc. The program started fine, great new boot screen! But the screen was at full (max size) lack of better words, with no way to go back to - no home keys (search-back-home-widgets-were not there? Had to shut down, and and reinstall. Now seems fine.
1. Best GPS in all that I have tried-actually got to work.
2. Says 2 themes - how do you change?
3. Explain how to use your Wifi / tether I usually install a apk to do that.
4. Battery seemed to fall fast from 100% to 36% in about an hour, however I was doing many installs etc and making the phone the way I like.
5. LauncherPro is my favorite and seems to work fine with the ROM.
6. YPlayer works great for all videos with the ROM.
Great work and seems to work the best for me so far.

- OPTIMIZATIONs

As I do not have this device, I did send it out to testers and pretty sure all the kinks are worked out. If there are any I missed please be kind and respectful when reporting. Please dont report wether you dont like this rom and are going to another. This is not a competition, all roms are great in their own way..
Okay. Know issues.
*Random reboots. Temp fix is to bump min CPU up one step to 432
needs to be reset every boot. Set on boot not consistent.
* if a random reboot happens while on call.
You lose phone audio. Simply reflash build with out factory data reset will bring it back.
*MMS quick reply setting. If you use setting to wake and unlock when a message is received get a reply quickly. Screen will time out back to lock screen soon.
*Camera. Panoramic mode crashes. Don't use it.
*Aspire some times it seems widgets dissapear from the home screens. Unpredictable. Just replace them when you realize they won't return on their own.
Do Not Complain About these things or post about them. We know these things. If you do feel it necessary to post on these issues please also include a perm fix along with it.
Finding issues not listed here PLEASE include steps to recreate the problem, and a log cat if available.
Please do not post "music won't play"
This helps no one and pisses me off. Savvy?
Also I would like to have a video review on you tube if someone here can do that kind of thing. In depth review a plus
If you would like to make said video please contact me and I will tell you what items/screens I would like to have highlighted.
Thank you and enjoy our work.

ok. I'll bite. I just flashed this rom. here are some of the things i noticed.
Signal icon: for 3g it comes up as 4g, and for 4g it comes up as LTE. (latter not really a problem)
no random reboots yet.
no data or LTE toggles.
boot animation is amazing.
stock launcher is nice, but i still prefer 3rd party launchers.
no volume skip with screen off. aaaaaaaaaaaalmost a deal breaker for me.
LED notifications when screen is on = <3
OTA app is cool. too bad the blue theme isnt here yet.
One thing I've noticed I've had this problem with other roms. When trying to watch purchased tv shows on play movies and tv I get an error msg that my rental has expired. Any clue? Other videos play fine, just play movies and tv.

So Tru
Anyone running one of the themes from OTA? I downloaded black widow, wiped cache AND dalvik before flashing and only got a 20 min boot loop.Any suggestions?
I posted this in general today and it was advised that I move it here to get more help. The post from my post is general is copied below and explains everything. I am attempting to follow all rules by formatting my post correctly. If this is in the wrong section, mods please accept my apology and remove.Any feedback, good or bad, is welcomed.
I've been tinkering around making my own roms for awhile now. I just stated back because I was bored and felt like doing something. I am not a dev , by any means, so I am not making a public tom because I simply do not know how to implement bug fixes when I need them( With the advice that I received earlier from my post in general, it seems like I would get more help here. Thus the tagging as R&D.. With that being said, I've slimmed down the MA6 rom to my liking and would like help on making a few final adjustments. The rom is as follows.
Changelog
Verision 1.2
*Updated to MB1....thanks Freeza for stock MB1 base

I added WIP to your title to show work in progress. Also please note which kernel you are using in the OP. If not stock then please add a link to where kernel source can be found.
Good luck with your project, this is a great community and you should get lots of help here.
You may want to keep a current bug list and changelog in the OP to keep repeated reports of the same bug.
Cheers

Re: [ROM][WIP] [R&D] Light_Jelly MA6--Help/testers needed
Your messaging bug comes from messaging being called secmms on touchwiz. Or maybe secmessaging
Still. That's why. Might be able fix that with some XML edits to the launcher.

I have decompiled the apk and am now trying to find where it points to. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
Have made it all the way to version 1.2. Will update first post later on today(uploading right now).
Preview of changes
*Themed
*Updated to MB1
*Alternative Kernel
*Nova Launcher is stock now
*Removed even more apps
Version 1.2 is posted for you guys to check out. Thanks again.
Awesomeness. re-downloadingzzzzz XD!
So how is it working out for you guys.
Running quite smooth. Loving the Project Google theme, running a few stress tests on battery and CPU.
tweaked the K747 governors for better battery life and i'll be back to reply how long it's lasted.
I'm not really a fan of home launcher's anymore and i usually stick with stock TW BUT I am using
The Razr M launcher because of the widget it has only accustomed to it. No bottlenecks from what I see.
Self Modifications -
I removed the samsung boot up and shutdown qmg files for faster boots.
removed the poweron and off sounds.
Removed the Camera Click sound.
Changed Wifi Tethering application to Beta 2 V5
App issues experienced -
The Wifi Tether beta 2 Modv4 app kept FCing when i start it even after i cleared data / wipe cache and dalvik. I uninstalled it
and installed the Beta 2 Modv5 and it's working great, No idea if others are having this problem though but just install the Mod V5
and it should be ready to go.
All in all, Its Light and de-bloated, solid and fast when overclocked.

Oh and one more thing. A suggestion to add to your ROM, a huge flipfont clean mega pack
You guys can download it from posts on the XDA forums or google it... Or here
https://www.dropbox.com/s/602tmb2wkex4hz8/com.monotype.android.font.cleanflipfontpack.apk
You are correct with the Wifi Tether. I have replaced app in new version. The boot animation is supposed to be different but it didn't take. I'm playing with aroma right now to give more options on install. I have also toyed with a few other options. Currently thinking of including LMT launcher. How much battery life have you sucked out so far? I am also thinking of removing all sounds and making a flashable pack to put them back. Hopefully that will save me some room in the rom. I want to make it small as possible but still be Sammy based.
Reason why the custom boot animations didn't work was because you
needed to reflash the bootanimation4u file after installing the updated
k747 kernel. It has custom boot support you just needed to flash that file
after flashing k747
The sounds are only 10 to 30 kb each ( system sounds ) and the ringtones
alarms etc are 100-200 kbs so it isnt that big. TW itself is just... Huge O_O
From 7 am today to 12 pm i went from 95% to 70% but that was because i
was running battery calibration and doing cpu stress tests
If i was never doing anything at all but just screen on itd be about
somewhat 1-3 days long depending on how a person uses it.
