What is Holo-Series?
Our goal here is to give the communinty as many different flavors as possible. We both think that google did a pretty damn good job with ICS with the images(Except the gray backgrounds and stock blue), its clean and simple and we would like to keep it clean and simple, we did change the status bar icons to give it a cleaner/different look but the rest would stay the same (just with different colors). These themes are pretty much complete but we will be working on them in future to add/improve stuff. Thanks and Enjoy!!!

How do you get matching navigation button colors? I was under the impression they were white for all of holo themes.

You'd need to be running aokp and change the colors in rom control/navbar settings.

I hated how the battery percentage took up status bar real estate, but loved that I could show it. So I looked at the Epic 4G Touch for inspiration and figured out how to bring the small battery percent to the Galaxy S III
Decompile SystemUI.apk and go to SystemUI\res\layout and open tw_status_bar.xml
Look (around line 13 in Notepad++) for:
Code:
<LinearLayout android:gravity="center" android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/signal_battery_cluster" android:paddingLeft="2.0dip" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<include android:id="@id/signal_cluster" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" layout="@layout/tw_signal_cluster_view" />
<TextView android:textSize="12.0dip" android:textColor="#ffa6a6a6" android:layout_gravity="center" android:id="@id/battery_text" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="@string/status_bar_network_name_separator" />
<ImageView android:gravity="center" android:id="@id/battery" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" />
</LinearLayout>
Replace it all with this:
Code:
<LinearLayout android:gravity="center" android:orientation="horizontal" android:id="@id/signal_battery_cluster" android:paddingLeft="2.0dip" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<include android:id="@id/signal_cluster" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" layout="@layout/tw_signal_cluster_view" />
<FrameLayout android:gravity="center" android:paddingLeft="4.0dip" android:paddingRight="2.0dip" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent">
<ImageView android:gravity="center" android:id="@id/battery" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="fill_parent" />
<TextView android:textSize="7.0dip" android:typeface="sans" android:textStyle="bold" android:textColor="#ffffffff" android:layout_gravity="bottom|center" android:id="@id/battery_text" android:visibility="gone" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:text="@string/status_bar_network_name_separator" android:shadowColor="#ffffffff" android:shadowDx="0.0" android:shadowDy="0.0" android:shadowRadius="1.0" />
</FrameLayout>
</LinearLayout>
After you do that just save, recompile and get it back on your device.
I highly recommend a blue battery icon for this mod. With the stock TouchWiz green, it is very hard to read the percentage.

Awesome! Great job!
That is pretty freaking sweet! Then you don't have the number thing to the left anymore. More room in your status bar!
My exact goal. I am glad to see people are enjoying it as much as I am.

This mod is based on this thread. I tried to increase the bitrate of our CM9's stock camera from 6mbps into 12mbps. And it works well:

"lightbox_next": "Next",

}
This can be done by editing these lines on media_profiles.xml on system/etc:
Find these lines:
Code:
<EncoderProfile quality="720p" fileFormat="mp4" duration="60">
<Video codec="h264"
bitRate="6000000"
width="1280"
height="720"
frameRate="30" />
<Audio codec="aac"
bitRate="128000"
sampleRate="48000"
channels="2" />
</EncoderProfile>
<EncoderProfile quality="480p" fileFormat="mp4" duration="60">
<Video codec="h264"
bitRate="3000000"
width="720"
height="480"
frameRate="30" />
<Audio codec="aac"
bitRate="128000"
sampleRate="48000"
channels="2" />
</EncoderProfile>
And edit them into these:
Code:
<EncoderProfile quality="720p" fileFormat="mp4" duration="60">
<Video codec="h264"
bitRate="12000000"
width="1280"
height="720"
frameRate="30" />
<Audio codec="aac"
bitRate="128000"
sampleRate="48000"
channels="2" />
</EncoderProfile>
<EncoderProfile quality="480p" fileFormat="mp4" duration="60">
<Video codec="h264"
bitRate="6000000"
width="720"
height="480"
frameRate="30" />
<Audio codec="aac"
bitRate="128000"
sampleRate="48000"
channels="2" />
</EncoderProfile>
Save, wipe cache and dalvik cache. If you got FC on the Camera, wipe data of the Camera apk.

It's improving the quality. It's like bit per second. Higher the bits, higher the quality will be

Well of course higher quality needs more size. But not a lot though, just don't worry you will have enough space for other files. Unless you have a really small sdcard that would be sad.

Its the first post in the link that Gunthermic linked to.
For me: I deleted all updates in Play Store. Deleted the original Hangouts.apk in System/App. Moved the modified APK to that location. Changed permissions. Rebooted. SAS! Done.
Good luck

so I uninstalled the old hangout via root explorer. DL the new version from the other thread and copied the file to system/app and rebooted.
everytime I try to send a mms hangouts FC....
the only thing I see that you did different was change the permissions. What did you change them to?

Untick the Write Access on the 2 bottom right. Should be RW, then only R, and R then Reboot.

Folks,
This thread was made so Dev's could add the functionalty to Hangouts, not a place to ask questions how to install, and run the app. I appriciate all those trying to help, but all these type of questions should be in Q&A.
Last piece of advice.
1. Get the app from the link provided in the OP.
2. You must remove older versions
Talk.apk
Hangouts.apk
HangOuts.apk
com.google.android.talk-*.apk
Thats just some examples. Also if their is a .odex file..
3. Copy the file over to system/app
4. Change premission to rw-r-r
5. reboot, enjoy
If you have problems where it FC's.. I know the problem.. Your mms database is corrupt.. How? Most likely you restored you old database when transfering to your new phone. The MMS database from Android 4.2.2 in not compatiable with Android 4.3 with Hangouts. The MMS database is fine for just Android 4.3, but becuase of the way that Hangouts works, it is not...
If you delete your database and then go into Application Manager and remove cache/wipe Hangouts. Restart it just works then.
I have not tried it by going into App Manager and wiping messages from there. I removed the databases completely..
I love helping people, but when threads get off subject, moderators close threads. Don't want it.. lol
How do you wipe the database?

I would suggest using the Application Manager first to wipe both caches/data..

Hangouts is already uninstalled

I am sorry, but this thread is for Dev's on How to fix Hangouts to be able to MMS if your on Verizon.. Video calling function works if you flash the correct lib file while installing the apk.

@engloa for helping me in moving the home button on the right..tnx buddy. @_Sale_ for his systemui.apk
You're welcome buddy
I did a little tinkering and placed the following code after id/doNotDisturbIcon
Code:
<com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.KeyButtonView android:gravity="right" android:id="@id/home" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:src="@drawable/ic_sysbar_home" android:layout_alignParentLeft="true" android:singleLine="true" android:contentDescription="@string/accessibility_back" systemui:keyCode="3" systemui:glowBackground="@drawable/ic_sysbar_highlight" />
This way, when notifications comes, the ticker doesn't overlap the status bar icons
