i'm going to order a case today, and because my budget is tight the case-mate tough case is not an option now.
so my options are the sgp capsule and the Capdase Alumor Jacket Elli
the 1st one is good and has many reviews, the 2nd one looks thicker but i cant find any reviews for it ... any suggestions or should i go with the sgp for now
That Capdase Alumor Jacket Elli looks like a really nice case. I have a Nillkin on the way, so pending the protectiveness of that I might pickup one of these from Capdase too.
i ordered the sgp capsule case, i couldn't risk it so i went for something that was tried before
Alumor causes issues wuth gps. Ut's.somehow blocking gps signals.

You try to find it on ebay, I think you 'll find a variety of rubber case for your device and the price is quite affordable
I got my girlfriend a Amzer TPU case, I have the same kind on my Tbolt
http://www.amzer.com/Amzer-Luxe-Argyle-Skin-Case-Smoke-Grey-P88562.htm
I bought a $4 silicone case from amazon that seems to be working quite well. It doesnt quite fit as snug as I'd like though, but it keeps the profile small and its easy to get out of my pocket.
Case
Yeah..i think silicon case is better..
I am now using a soft pouch, I think it's better than a silicone case because it protects also the screen and it's not "sticky" like silicone cases are (I always found difficult to put the phone into the jeans' pocket when I am sitting if I use a TPU case)... You could try a pouch and see if you like it
Thanks for the ideas on cases. I have thought about getting one but never sure which are cheap and rip easy or whatnot.

How fat is it? I have a rubber case also but I don't consider it fat. I have not seen any case for this phone also.

I bought a $7 silicone case from my local ATT store and this thing is the best. It fits nice and snug, and is easy to remove if need be. Of course, I wear carpenter jeans so the slight stickiness doesn't bother me. AFAIK tho, I believe they stopped selling it in my area so that may be the case everywhere.
These three cases look nice! Does anyone have them? Which is best?
Amzer Silicone Skin Jelly Case
EMPIRE Black Rubberized Hard Cover Crystal Case
HTC TPU Skin Case (Clear)

I have the HTC TPU Skin Case - very nice.
Text of test.
I have black rubber case. I love it.
***NOTE: this is based on my personal experience. any disagreements, feel free to discuss ***
i sold my otterbox commuter series when i bought a white SGP Glas. the silicone on the top part bulged further, so i didn't risk it. i went to an exclusive SGP dealer here in our country to try out SGP cases (since SGP claimed all their cases are compatible with Glas)
1. Neo Hybrid
this was originally the case i planned to buy. when i tried it on, i noticed the sides of the silicone were bulging. they were also wrinkled and wasn't parallel to their other corresponding side. maybe the neo hybrid wasn't a good fit for the Glas (the neo hybrid also looked and felt flimsy, especially the silicone which was really thin and the plastic could easily be deformed. i was actually disappointed with it)
2. Linear Series
it has a good fit with Glas.
3. Ultra Capsule
good fit as well. this is the one i bought
i didn't get the chance to try Ultra Silke, Ultra Thin Air, or Neo Hybrid EX. perhaps if you guys have tried out the other SGP cases not mentioned, please share your experiences.
regarding non-SGP cases:
1. Otterbox Commuter Series
silicone was bulging based on my experience. not good.
2. Capdase Expose Soft Jacket
good fit. no issues.
please add if you'd like
I agree with you with regards to the SGP Ultra Capsule, for me, I think its the best SGP Case for the SGS 2. I tried otterbox -it presents a silicon problem, the one you are talking about - buldging.
I did not risk with the SGP Neo Hybrid because of the Silicon material which i believe will be the same as the otterbox.
SGP Ultra Capsule ----->> Best Choice (I ordered black and white)
the "momax icase pro" and the "case-mate tough case" fit perfectly as well. Especially the momax case looks great; clean and sleek.
Just got my new phone in the mail I was going go case-less but its just too pretty and I know I'll ruin it so I'm looking for something lightweight and thin, some protection would also be nice.
Also what is the best screen protector to use with cases?
I can definitely recommend the "casemate barely there" case from future shop. by far the best case i have owned. Barely recognize its there.
I like the SGP Neo Hybrid case.

I think I'll be getting the SGP Ultra Capsule or Silke.
Of my: Otterbox Commuter (awesome quality + protection, but bulky), SGP Neo Hybrid (Meh...), Barely There, and Incipio, I'd recommend the Incipio (1st choice) or Barely There (2nd) for slenderness, quality + a degree of protection.
Screen protector: I can recommend the Phonedevil one that is on Amazon, about £8 for two. Great imo, the reviews on Amazon are also very positive.
Case: Can't really help there, I'm using the Casemate Tough which is good, but thick and bulky
Thanks guys I'll be going with the CM barely there a lot of people recommend it.
Still need to check out the screen protectors you guys suggested.
Nillkin Hard Cover
I recommend the Nillkin Hard Cover over the Casemate Barely there case.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NILLKIN-Har...559046?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item3f108c22c6
I feel like the Nillkin Hard Cover covers alittle more of the corners of the phone over the Barely There case. Both cases are "barely there" but the Nillkin's got alittle more corner coverage.
Just another option for you...good luck with your purchase!

Had it on my Galaxy S1, and now on the S2. Can't beat them when you want to retain the Galaxy's sexy profile.
I went with the Zagg full body. Protection, and barely noticeable.
---------- Post added at 08:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:57 PM ----------
Should also note that if you are using the stock car dock, its tight. Very tight. the zagg allows it to fit without pulling in and out of the case every time you are in the car.
I got the D30 case it's really good... Feels good in your hand..

+1 CaseMate barely there, friend has it, barely notice it, keeps the thinness. If you want a few mm thicker, the Incipio and also the SGP UltraCapsule are TPU, bit more protection than the BarelyThere
Hi, i'm searching for a SLIM case, but unlike the Barely There from Case-mate i want it to fully cover the phone.
Is there any around them? my research got no results
i have a ringke slim case on mine right now. fits the oem extended battery, its a pretty nice case and very slim

It does not cover the phone
try the sgp neo hybrid, its the thinnest dual layer case ive seen. i cut out the backing now so i use it as a bumber case.
hey im like you. i love the barely there case but i also had a problem with it offering just partial protection.
i ended up with the sgp ultra hybrid case. and i couldnt be happier. very slim. very well built. the only thing it doesnt cover is the screen. doesnt add much bulk.
i also have the sgp ultra capsule.. its just too shiny looking for me.
Diztronic Matte
I like the Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible *Revision 3* TPU Case.
$9.89 on Amazon, thin and covers phone
Incipio Silicrylic case ftw.

I buy Diztronics for all my phones.
Just got the alpine white ringke slim case. Best case I have come across. Looks amazing!

I recommend either one of these. The Ultra Hybrid may look thick, but it's actually thinner than the Cruzer Lite one as much to my surprise.
Ultry Hybrid:

Cruzer Lite:

I like the cruzer lite, it adds a thick enough "lip" over the face of the phone that setting it down doesn't allow your screen to contact the surface you set it on. Plus it's only $9.

I also have this case and I really like it. It's matte, though, so it's not exactly grippy, if you're looking for that.
thinnest and uber cheap case
Hi there,
I'm not quite sure how thin you would like your case to be, but I recently discovered a couple of cases on ebay that may fit your description.
LINK: I'm sorry, I am a relatively new user on XDA and I can't post link just yet. However, you can ebay a seller called "smokydiscount" and keywords: 0.2mm Ultra thin case for galaxy nexus prime. Otherwise, just PM me.
MY OPINION: I really like these cases and they're great for scratch protection. As for drops and bumps, these cases are negligible; your phone will probably be just as damaged as compared to without a case.
PROS:
- Incredibly thin. It's as if your phone doesn't have a case on it
- WILL protect the back from any scratches. You can leave your phone on a rough surface without any concerns
- Very cheap
CONS:
- There is no front lip, meaning if you put your phone face down on a rough surface, beware. However, the case does come with a screen protector which is fairly decent (ALMOST to the same standard as Brando screen protectors)
- For some reason it does make the phone more slippery. The plastic doesn't provide any grip
- The case is very fragile when it is not applied on your phone. I had to get a replacement sent out because the case came to my house cracked, most probably due to the postage and handling.
Despite the cons, this is definitely one of my favourite cases. Check them out.
TPU rubber case with stand on amazon only 3 bucks and it covers everything , just need a screen protector

I just just got the Speck Pixel skin HD, and its pretty great. Thinner profile than my otter box commuter, yet it feels much better. It looks pretty good, but I don't know if it was really worth $30

Whats the thinnest case for gnex besides the ringk rearth case.. $25 beans is to much for a case thats not gonna protect the phone much...

was just about to start a thread on this!
I bought the Ringke for $25.99, let's see how it goes.
I googled for thin cases and came up with this 0.4mm case (there was another eBay link but seems like the seller's closed his store):
http://www.cell-phone-home.com/tran...ng-galaxy-nexus-i9250-p-876.html#.UFrBufFODJU
$10.99 with free international shipping
Will update on how it fits compared to the Ringke, when it arrives.
SGP Ultra Hybrid. thinnest case.
I've dropped my phone with the ringke on and my phone is completely fine. If you're the extra clumsy type than I don't think you should be looking for the "thinnest case". The ringke protects in all the right areas.
