does t-mobile sells vibrant battery doors?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
It is the SAME door as the Vibrant (1st gen)....just painted. I took my girl's 4g door and battery when it was launched.
It is plastic and cheaper than the OG vibrant's back--sprayed poorly.
I bought a similar one on eBay for $8.50.

I just want the 1650mAh battery. But I think I will get the battery door too.

I have an extra oem galaxys4g back door and also have extra s4g 1650mah batteries.
I have two ebay ads up and one battery im using now that could possibly sell.
check out my ebay ads, just search galaxy s 4g battery and click samsung on the side and go down to where it says galaxy s 4g battery oem 1650mah now shipping and the other ad says the same.
thanks!
ps the backdoor is not on ebay, just let me know if your intrested in buying
You can get the battery door from samsung for $9.99 plus shipping. They haven't received them yet, but if you call them you can get on a waiting list and they will contact you as soon as they get them in. I'm already on it
I need one myself
hello everyone, i saw this ebay offer where they are selling Infuse 4G 1750mAH battery. please find the link below?
http://orders.ebay.in/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ImportHubViewItem&itemid=290568409971
By the looks of it, it should fit the Samsung galaxy S nd Galaxy S2. does anyone confirm it fits properly?
i would love to buy this accessory. The price is right too. around 45 dollars.

No it wont. I have both and the battery is too big to fit in the SGS2
what other oem battery can you use in an infuse?
Whay do they got a have a different size battery for every different phone. bring back AA batteries they are standardized lol, no for real!
Holy zombified bringing back from the dead thread
Looks like samsung has 1800 mAh battery for the new Epic touch 4G. Looks very similar to Galaxy S series battery. It will be great if it fits vibrant!
Look at 1:50 into the below video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bORdFDO8318&feature=BFa&list=WL068AB326C5F0012A&lf=BFp
In short: No.
Don't quote me but it might be slightly taller, it's hard to tell from the video though.
Some guy that works for sprint tried to claim yes it 100% will in another thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16581557&postcount=10
But I don't really believe him.
If its like the international SGS2 battery then as posted, its too tall.
Someone go to a sprint store when those hit and try one. Just ask for a device, debox and try the battery haha.
Two things I noticed since I posted....the connectors on the battery are on right side for epic touch and left side for vibrant? And epic touch being 4.5 inch screen phone it is possible that battery is bigger albeit same shape :-(
Keep following the link I posted, now its looking like the guy may be right. Its not confirmed yet.

Thanks for pointing me to that thread. One thing for sure the epic touch 4G battery is different from other galaxy s2 variants as it is seen in the video I posted. They guy may be even right it physically fits into old epic (that means vibrant too). But I have to see if the connectors on the right versus left is a deal braker.
Okay, looking at the video the battery goes into the new phone with the side with mAh printed inwards. In vibrant that side is outwards! So this could mean position of the connectors is not an issue I am still hopeful.
Can someone check it in a store already?

I just checked at a sprint store and the battery will fit our vibrant! It is the same size and shape as our normal batteries. I didn't power the phone cause it was packaged but the size will fit and it is indeed an 1800mah.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
EDIT: On second thought, I didn't ask the rep if I can buy one and the Sprint website doesn't appear to sell them as of yet. Anyone know of any good sources to get these batteries?
http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wireless/store/productdetail.asp?productid=28506
From epic 4g forum. But someone is reporting that some filing is required to fit the battery. Can you confirm it fits vibrant without filing?
Actually I read that forum and ppl seem to now agree they work perfect. I also saw that site but it ships the 26th of next month? That's stupid late lol.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
So in the sprint store where you tried, it was a spare battery for sale or they took it off a phone?
I would guess it will take some time for spares and accessories to be available after phone is launched. Oct end looks reasonable in my opinion. We never managed to find a spare 1650 mah from Vibrant 4G even today!!
They took it off a new phone they unboxed. So yeah, who can find one online that is sold now should speak up. Preferably under $40.
The October 26th shipping is way in the future as of now.

Seems a little weird they're the only place to be offering this, and at a good discount with free shipping? I'm skeptical, but this sure would be nice if its real! Anyone ever ordered from mobilecityonline before?

So is it confirmed that the 1800mAH battery will fit AND work properly in the vibrant?
Is mobilecityonline selling legit 1800mAH batteries for the Epic 4G Touch or is it going to be more like a knockoff 1500 mAH or less like buying from overseas?
There are more than one person in the epic 4g forums saying the battery fits epic 4g and so most probably vibrant. vice versa is hard fit it seems. I am sure if you give 1 month or so from now, these will appear in sprint stores. ATT version has different battery, looks similar to international galaxy s2.

Ok, Fit...check, but what about the usability? This is kind of an old thread so I don't know if the problem has been fixed or not:

I just don't want the battery to be a single use item.
Anyone know of any extended batteries or extra batteries with charger? I know it might take awhile for an extended to come out but its always nice to have those extra batteries
I heard that the 2000mah battery from the upcoming Samsung Nexus may be available for us. It would make sense considering how similar the phones are.
Nice that'd be sweet
This is all I've seen so far
http://m.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/ET-CGPK009GSTA
some research i did found that epic batteries will work but they are only 1500mah. but during that research i read about some batteries having different chips telling it how to charge correctly. i'd much rather wait for a OEM 1800 battery
Ive still got my charging kit for the epic, a few oem 1500 batteries and a 1650 galaxy s 4g battery
EDIT: oem samsung galaxy s 4g 1650mah battery works just fine
Here's a link to an OEM 1800 mah battery that ships on 9/30.

Even better, Samsung has a standalone charger, stand for $50. It says it includes a new 1800mAh battery AND a wall charger. If it really exists and has the battery, it's a good deal.

Hmm. Why is that? My coworkers epic batteries powered my epic4g touch and my battery powered her phone. I didn't pay attention to the exact fit though

I have 5 epic 4g batteries and I try to put them in top first and the bottom will not push fully in due to the top corners are not cut out properly to fit in my Touch. I wish they did, wouldn't have to buy an extra battery. Probably only need one for emergency backup anyway. After the newness wears off, it will probably last the whole day.

The Epic Touch battery fits perfect in the original Epic. On the original Epic, the top "posts" where the battery fits in are smaller than the "posts" on the Touch. That's why the original Epic battery does not fit in the Touch.
So I am looking for a new battery for my Epic 4g, but I don't feel like purchasing one lol.
So this leads to my question:
My friend works at a Sprint store and said he can grab me a battery from an Epic 4g or another phone that has the same physical size but more capacity.
I am seeking help in finding information on other Sprint phones that use the same "physical" size battery as the Samsung Epic 4G uses...
I am hoping to acquire a battery from another phone that has 3500+mAh. Anyone have any suggestions?
Epic touch works just fine. Although I don't condone the "stealing" at least spot the dude 10$.

The phone will feel obviously heavier, and the cover will be slightly loose, having trouble staying snapped shut. But it seems to become accustom to the stretch and you'll get used to the different feel of the phone too.

Yes, it is a noticeable difference; not an issue, just a difference.
The cover does not exactly fit. There is a bulge where the top of the thicker battery causes it to slightly deform And the bottom snaps are not as tight being that the cover is now a bit mis-shapen.
And thicker battery = heavier battery.
It is noticeable the first couple of weeks. But I've become accustomed to it.

There is a version for our phone its meant for the 1st Galaxy S line 1800 mAh by Anker. So I have no difference in battery size or problems with the back. No deformity or thickness difference.
So both of you take note of that there is 2 versions of the 1800 mAh. 1. The ET4G 1800, 2. Galaxy S 1800 mAh meant for the fascinate, epic 4g, att cap.

I had this same issue with the OEM battery. (sorry the mechanic in me) I went to sprint and bought the 2400 mAh battery but it came with a new back cover. its almost a 1/2 in thicker. It was only $40 and i like it. yeah, my phone is heavier and alittle awkward to hold, but i have a major increase in battery life over the stock battery.

Why spend 40$ when you can buy a decent 3500 mAh for 15$ or even 20$ and is the same thickness as your cover, not to mention there are 2x Hyperion 3500 mAh that are very good for 19.99$ or 2x 1800 Ankers that get very good battery life without any thickness at all?
I mean its pointless to buy a battery that's 40$ when you clearly have better options out there is all I'm saying.
