Hello frnds,
Is ther any solution to clean Touch Screen of our Galaxy Y, its really going bad day by day..bad means hard, sticky...how can i clean it..any gud solution i can buy...
<post deleted>
On screen protectors, I like the anti finger prints more than anti-glare because those tend to be thicker. No problem with moisture with the former.
Don't use solutions to clean your screen. Use a wiper or if you don't have one the cloth that comes with glasses work well too. It's what I use. XD

you can clean it with shampoo anyway.
Install screen protector (the gloss one) and your screen appears glossy, more responsive than the matte one, (as per my experience) and more elegant, just wipe it and it's glossy again..
Agree with above
Shampoo? o-o
I had the glossy one too, but it's kinda.. meh. Well, it could be just a personal preference thing lol.

Lol. But the screen & text appears more clearer in glossy than the matte one, and more responsive in menu & back button..
I just use my shirt to wipe my screen from time to time. Glossy screen sucks for being a fingerprint magnet the back and menu buttons often need wiping.

I mean...you can make a dilute solution of shampoo. IMO one drop per 50mL water is OK. then use it to wipe the screen by tissue or soft cloath. its good because shampoo has chemical to prevent dust.

Nice tip. Prevents dandruff from affecting our phones too
I use a damp, soft sponge to clean my glossy screen protector. It removes smudges and oily spots more easily and effectively. Afterwards I wipe it dry with a soft cloth. I don't use tissue because it leaves small tissue particles on the screen. I prefer the cloth used to clean eyeglasses or those that came with screen protector kits.

So, I ordered the SGP Ultra Olephobic and it was my first screen protector install ever. I put it on and I messed up...the first time. So I threw away that one and got a new one right? I tried putting that one on more carefully, but alas it didn't work. Then a friend told me that I should try a wet install of them. I tried it out an voila wet install sticks great with the same properties as the dry install, except MUCH MUCH easier. Now, I am a perfectionist and I will admit that my install was not perfect and I will probably do it again, but the fact that the wet install worked was awesome. So just wanted to share that. Any thoughts?

Not sure if I am the only person but I like the dry screen protectors more. I am not sure what brand I have. All I know is it is a lot clearer than any wet one I have ever used. And it isn't tacky either. I have had it 2 months and I still have no noticeable scratches. I will find out the brand and post it.

Why do people use screen protectors? These screens don't get scratches. Not unless you walk around with diamonds in your pocket.

Same here found them on Ebay. 8 pieces for 3.00$. I'm still on my first one. I will also try and post some info.
If I were to utilize the wet application then I'd use distilled water alone. Tap and even bottled water contains too many minerals with the possibility of leaving behind hard water spots.

Wet applications are easier to apply but done right, both wet & dry turn out equally as good.
And quit using my pick up line (note sentence in bold)
I dropped my phone and then noticed the tiniest, thinnest scratch on the screen. I can't feel it when I touch the screen, and can only really see it when the light shines on it. I know it's not a big deal, but it's going to slowly drive me crazy. Anything I can do to get rid of it, or reduce it even more? I have hope since it's so tiny. Thanks.

Lol. Not many of us have experience rubbing our screens with cream. Be the guinea pig or man up and buy a screen and screen protector. Matter of fact, just buy a screen protector and be done with it. Ocd is underrated. Or overrated. Depending on how you look at it.

Get a screen protector or a new screen. It's a bit late now to be worried about scratches on your screen, should've gotten a screen protector.
But, we live and we learn.
I have a nice little scratch on mine too. These things are going to happen. It's just a phone!!! Put a screen protector on it and be done with it!
The wet screens will fill in the tiny scratches nicely. The dry apply ones won't.
the XO screen protector seems to be very popular, might be a good choice.
Get an XO Skin and put it on your screen. It filled both a scratch and a scrape on my Gnex, when I thought I'd have to live with the damage.
Get some ocd pills and use a screen protector

Makes your screen crystal clear.
It's been mentioned allready, but the wet apply screen protectors really do work for "hiding" the scratch.
I had a scratch on my droid charge and I actually did try a paste I got from autozone to try and remove the scratch, well... it didn't work. It didn't add to the problem but it didn't remove it either.
So I applied a wet screen protector from skinz I believe, then I couldn't find the scratch no matter how I tried. It was successful in healing my ocd.

Annd there goes the oleophobic coating.
I confirm that XO wet apply covered a scratch on my gnexus display.
It probabely only works for scratches on the coating though, not for deep scratches on the glass.

I have a part of the screen where it seems like the screen has lost its shine. I can see only when screen is off in strong light.
Trying to clean it with a soft cloth doesn't improve this part. Any tips? Can I use a cleaning solution?
Thanks

I use a camera lens micro fiber cloth from best buy for $5. That part in the middle of the screen that looks like it won't come off and the coating wore off, you can actually continue wiping with the micro fiber and it does indeed return to look exactly like the rest of the screen. You just have to keep wiping and wiping for a long time, sometimes one direction, but keep going it does come clean.
I don't use any chemicals, I don't want to wipe away the coating of the screen.
I bought couple of hundreds of Micro Fiber cloths via ebay @ $5.
I use myself a micro clothe but somehow it looks like the coating in a form of a fingerprint is off. It needs maybe a cleaning liquid cause the clothe doesn't remove it.

I use regular rubbing alcohol, and a micro-fiber camera lens cloth just like at the factory, it dissolves the grease and leaves a smooth finish. Also, it evaporates fast enough not to cause any liquid damage.

It will come off. I just had to keep wiping for 10 min, gently. Do it in sunlight too so you can easily see it.
The screen is made out of glass. You can literally scrape it with a razor blade and it won't scratch. On the moh's scale, glass is relatively strong; steel and even titanium won't scratch it.

I haven't used anything but I am guessing a good way to do that would be remove the cover/backing and with a tiny bit of dish soap and water rubbed in with your fingers, should take out any oil safely. Just make sure to rinse it completely and then dry it with a hair dryer.
I've done this on my couch that is suede and it's worked really well and for really tough oil stains i've used a water and Oxy-Clean solution with a bit of vinegar.
I used a tooth brush and a small amount of dish soap on mine. Air dry.

I was just gonna post this. The best are the unscented sensitive baby wipes (I have kids). They clean it right off and your phone doesn't smell like baby powder or whatever other fragrances different wipes use. The armorall car interior wipes work good too but they're kind of pricey and the chemical smell they leave is kind of strong for a day or two.

I know just the feeling. One day I put my Note 10.1 (original) on the table, picked it up a moment later, and noticed three honking great scratches. The only thing to ever touch the screen was the stylus tip and eraser end. A little testing showed the S Pen leaves microscratches all over the screen. Since then I've always used screen protectors.
It's not a solution, but if you can get the scratch removed, consider getting a cheap protector. If something does scratch the screen against all caution, you only need chuck away a piece of plastic and not fret about your gorgeous, expensive glass being messed up. Advice that the screens are scratch resistant is seemingly incorrect as both you and I know!

I think I would leave it alone, the screen may have a oleophobic coating on it.
Better research it more before you dive into what could be a complete fail.
Putting a screen protector on such a large screen is a pita.
The little debris parts that will come in between will get a nice sort of halo under the protector, coz otherwise you could hardly notice them, which would be a shame.
My 4.7" phone has one "foggy spot" outside the display, fortunately. The smaller dslr display also, and so it was with several older phones.
I would polish scratches only, if they eh, scratch tissue, both cloth and body, you would not want to bleed or buy new clothes constantly.
So far I needed that only for plastic case scratches. A cheap lighter used to open a bottle of beer can ruin your trouser pockets, in that case rubbing the thing on some surface makes things better.

In addition to the Note 2014 I own (which DOES have a screen protector), I use another one for work (which does not). I'm not particularly careful with either one, and none have shown any signs of scratching. And I'm one of about five people who uses the one at work.
If you had a few particles of something stick to the tip of the pen, or had a particularly chewed-up nib on it, I could see that scratching the screen over time.
I'm considering buying the aluminum polish. As the note is gorilla glass the polish is supposed to bond to the glass. Just in case does anyone know where I can get a new screen if I mess things up and make it look worse?

You could get it from Ebay for 30-45$, but replace the screen is not an easy task. The glass needs to be glued to the digitizer and you need equipment to do so. If you buy the glass assembly (included glass + digitizer) then the cost is a lot more. I suggest to use a clear screen protector and this will hide all the scratches since the glue is bond to the glass.
