Hello everyone I have a HTC universal and I bought a extended battery.
Everything worked fine until it showed 0 percent ,after that, most of the time it had the red light that means no battery. I switched to original battery and then it worked again, after some time it started booting , red light , booting again while connected wall charger. Right now it is that cycle it gets to the windows mobile screen (WM5) red light and then boots again

Hi all,
a friend of mine gave me a broken P3300 that just doesn't turn on. The first thing I've tried was charging the battery but I noticed something strange: the battery' status led is always red, even after some hours. I thought this PDA fell in water and had the battery charging circuitry broken, so I removed the battery but the led still remains red.
Edit: it doesn't even turn on in bootloader mode
Do you have some suggestions?
Thanks a lot!
Think it is the chargingsystem in the phone is damaged. Had a qtek 9100 a year ago and blew up that part with tomuch volts. Led turned red then to.
I have just taken delivery of my second replacement MDAC3, and it looks like this one might have a problem too!
When I first switched it on, it got as far as the green wm6 screen then the led flashed red a couple of times and the unit switched itself off. I plugged a usb lead in, the orange charging led came on but only for 5 seconds and then started flashing. It did this for a bit then it started flashing green.
To cut a long story short(er) it seems that the phone will not charge the battery unless it is switched off, and even then it gets to 96% and stops and shows the green led
Question: does this sound like the symptoms of a duff battery, or a duff phone?
As the battery seems to have discharged itself in the 2-3 weeks that the phone has been away

I have the same problem on my htc p3300, and when i used batti 2.4 i saw that the battery temperature is 432675.5 etc something fake temerature. This is the reason, why my pda unable to charge my battery. If you set your pda in bootloader mode, it will charge your battery!. After 3 or more times i charged it in bootloader mode somethimes the battery temp sensor works normally, and the charge is working as well. Sometimes not.
But you can charge your battery allways in bootloader mode.
Sorry for my English.
Try it!
Good luck!

Just bought an One X, and am really excited for the phone.
As usual for my new phone, I charged it overnight with the phone powered off. LED indicator showed red, and I went to bed.
This morning when I woke up, the LED is still red. I disconnected the power cable and powered up the phone. Upon boot up, the battery shows only 1% battery life. I reconnected to the power cable for another 20 mins before heading off to work. The battery went up to 7%?
Anyone experience the same problem? Is my phone faulty? Why can't it charged when it is powered off?
Do you install custom recovery ?? And not updated version of CWM may cause problems with charging... Can you turn om.the phone and charge it? If you does not have a working rom you can charge your phone while the splash screen "HTC QUIETLY BRILLIANT".
Pd: you dont going to see any notification light. Just trust on it

My recently purchased M8 finally brought me here.
1.bought a refurbished phone, phone doesn't turn on after charging for 10 hours.
2.Not one percantage of battery seems to be charged,no green colour in charging status but a void battery box appears
3.Tried to reboot with ADB tools, tried all the buttons, still orange light keeps flashing
4.Battery drained, my tears drained
What do you think there is left for me to try?
Yo. This happened to me today. Phone just stopped booting. Try Pwr+Vol Up+ Vol down. It worked for me.

Well, try another charger or another usb cable for charging. Hopefully it should work. My old Note II did something similar. It took 3 hrs to charge every 1% . Replaced my usb cable and it worked like a charm ! :good:
Hi guys, today I faced the following problem.
The battery was completely drained (0%) and the device was off. I connected it to the original charger with the original cable. The screen turned on but the battery icon showed a red disc in his centre with a white exclamation mark inside of it and the battery didn't charge.
I charged the phone at work with another non-original charging he. It worked and now, if I try to use the original charger again, it works and charges fast.
What could it mean?
