So im sure you all know the online gaming cloud Online works with the xperia play's game pad. Is their anyway to set up a server from my PC to connect my phone and play the games from my PC? Or is this just a ridiculous question?

The Gametel wireless controller is set to launch in time for Christmas for the low price of £49.95.

I've just been reading about this myself, see http://techcrunch.com/2011/11/17/ga...android-phone-into-an-xperia-play-but-better/
It's not clear at this point if this will basically behave like an Xperia Play controller or not. They mention it will work in Asphalt 5 HD, but no mention of other Play-enabled games like NOVA 2 or Aftermath XHD.
Definitely worth watching this though, if the reviews are positive and it works with all the Play-enabled games (maybe with some hacking?) it will be on my Xmas list.
A bit of a double post... but has anyone tried this?
I have tried connecting my PS3 Controller via the LiveDock but it can only work when connecting to USB Cable and not via bluetooth like the way it work with my Sony Tablet.
Guess it need the software interface which pair the controller to the device via bluetooth.
So which are the controllers able to work with our phone which has been tested?
hi mate
If you go into Bluetooth menu it gives u the Bluetooth address
U can then plug your ps3 control in to laptop and use six axis pair tool(which is free to download onto ur computer ,just google it) and you can manually change the address control address to that of the phone
Not sure if it will work without six axis app on your phone or not but is worth a try
Hope that helps

Doesn't look like this has been addressed previously, so here goes:
Is there a way to use my Xperia Play as a gamepad for my PC, preferably over BT? I know there are lots of apps that let you use an android for input on a PC, usually for media players or laggy text entry, and there's that one app specifically designed to let you use a phone as a gamepad for a tab, but is there any solution that will let me use the Xplay as an honest to goodness, responsive gamepad for my PC? Touchpads aren't necessary, but would be nice if available.
There's a free app in the market called app.pcon (pc controller) or something but mite be over WiFi instead of Bluetooth. Apart from that you could use either kainy or splashtop which even though will stream the video from pc to play you could use just as an input for pc. Not sure about any Bluetooth ways have a look at droid-mote think that's Bluetooth but to another droid, very much doubt he made a pc app for it
Hope this may help

Is there an app/driver available to make our phone a pc gamepad?
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I couldn't find anything on it.
I want to play some windows games but using the keyboard gets in the way of the fun.
Oh... I should add that I have the app "app.pcon" but haven't been able to do anything with it, as either the devs website is down, or it is blocked in my country, and I cannot get the pc counterpart program.

so i have been addicted to a few games on the android phones. nothing wrong with that you know. but i was thinking it be cool if you could play any of your games that are on your phone...on your pc. does anyone know how to do that. I have tried using bluestacks but that only plays a selct amount of stuff...i want to play them all...LOL. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you want to set up a VPN with your PC and phone.
Try Google for Team viewer & win2vnc
Win2vnc goes on your home PC as the "server".
Teamviewer goes on your phone from the Google play store as an app and connects to win2vnc.
You will be able to use your computer from your phone where ever your at.

Dear all,
I have a Lenovo Ideapad Y750 with windows 7. I tried to send music from my Sony Xperia ZL using the Throw feature. But the phone says "could not connect to the device". Both Laptop and smartphone are on the same wireless network. I followed the instruction here http://tech2.in.com/how-to/lifestyle/how-to-set-up-dlna-on-your-devices/294842/1#story and after pressing the Start button and then typing Media streaming options my phone is not on the list of devices.Any clue which is the problem here?
thanks

Thanks for the suggestions. I ll try them out. But do you guys have any idea of what is wrong with the "throw"feature? That is by far more convenient, I just click throw on my phone and I can instantaneously see videos, listen music or see pictures on my pc. No need to install app on the phone (moreover you have to install something on the laptop). Moreover you can also throw to a wifi TV. It is written on the Sony website that the laptop has to be DLNA compliant. How can I check that on my laptop? It is a pretty recent laptop with windows 7, I thought it should be DLNA.
Laptops are pretty hard to setup for DLNA actually throw feature is used for. DLNA certified products like music system, bluray players...etc etc..so fr laptop better use some app they work juat fine
