Accelerometer not working in custom ROMs

I have tried several custom ROMS including fshami's 2.3.3 and alquez's CM7 port. My sensors (accelerometer etc.) do not work in these ROMs. They do work with the stock TMoUS ROM. I'm going to be testing some things to figure out what's going on.

They worked fine for me. Maybe its your phone?

Thanks for the tip. Where is the info on which? I'm wondering if I have to use the newer ROM because something with the accelerometer wasn't in the older roms for my version.

I seem to have same problem. My accelerometer not working on the cm7 port 3rd beta release.

You may have some slighly different version of the wildfire s.

I have the same phone did any one every find a answer. to the accelerometer is it just not supported in any roms yet? I have a gsm wildfire s t-mobel usa

From reading looks like there are 3 different versions of the phone I guess I have one of them that is not supported in some of the roms

Is there any dev interested in fixing this problem? I have some programming skills but I would'nt even know where to start.
Any suggestion to make this happen?

cm7 also doesn't work on my Tmobile US wildfire s. Maybe the tmous wildfire s are not fully compatible with many ROMs

this is from alquez
The only fully supported phone variant atm is MARVEL.
MARVELC/MARVELCT owners need to be a little patient and do not flash this rom until it's fixed (unless they have some dev experience - it's the kernel)
Im running his rom evey thing works fine but the acceleration. its very stable. I have been using it for well over a month now

Hello guys, just want to know if any updates on this issue, I have T-mobile US WFS with Alquez's CM-7.2-RC1 - 03-12-2012 build running smoothly at 806mhz (even got 1650 score on the benchmark using Antutu), props to him for the excellent job on this rom; one thing I'd like to add, noticed the Sound Recording app doesn't have menu selection thru the softkey, also nowhere to select/view/play previous recordings like in HTC sense version, also having problems with GPS lock and the accelerometer/gyro not working.
Other than this, the ROM is awesome! Keep up the good work....

No news in CM 7.2 but I've tried [ROM][WFSDEVTeam][WIP] MIUI V4 |CM9|ICS 4.0.3| and accelerometer works just fine. Maybe someone can make a fix using that kernel.

All gsm phones are marvel like t mobile USA . marvelc is the usa cdma like virgin mobile usa, us cellular and metro pcs. Marvelct is the Asian cdma

Nope tmobile us is Marvel which is GSM
Also accelorator does not work at all on cm7 and MIUI ROMs

So it's not just me! My Accelerometer does not work on my T-Mobile US HTC Wildfire S. It does not work with Alquez's Rom but the other custom Roms work. If it ever gets fixed then this would be the perfect ROM. Anyways I'm happy other people are having the same issue. I thought my phone was broken.

Nope its not just you I'm experiencing the same problem, I can enjoy a Rom with peace but hopefully cm7 and cm9 will be fixed.

I hope so too! I've been switching roms every time there's a new build hopefully thinking it was fixed. Lol so I guess we all have to wait.

i see where you got that thought, but you can't entirely blame the OP. he probably doesn't have all the devices that's supported, so there's no way he would know. that's why i don't really like multidevice ROMs much... :/

Why don't y'all get how of the op and ask to help him get the rom working. I't may just be the kernel.

I pm'd him like 4 hrs ago and havent heard anything so......i dont know what the deal is.

Anyone run a log on it, try a different kernel???

Now, I've seen that HTC will going to give us a new smartphone for medium class, with SENSE 4 and ICS.
I think that when her source code is released we can start to port it, because have really similr specifications like on our phone.
- CPU Snapdragon 1 at 600 MHz (I imagine that's downclocked, but ours is Snapdragon MSM7227)
- Screen at 3.5 (320x480)
- 512 MB of RAM
- 4 GB of ROM
- Camera of 5 MP
It have three colours, red, white and grey... I love red

Sense 4 is actually pretty good.Not so heavy and if i might say great improvement over 3.0 and 3.5
But porting it? ...i dont think so...does any of 3.5 roms here works flawlesly?...again i dont think so...see thats problem with porting,never as original.
So i personaly stay true to my stock sense and CM7 or 9 when i wanna try smtn new.

bigchillin's right...... since there is no development whatsoever..... you could have posted it in the general section
And as far as I can predict, it will be a MSM7227A chipset..... this chipset is just like ours but is an ARMv7 instead ARMv6 so we will face almost the same challenge as we did with the sense 3.5 port

Is for Any HTC one V? or specific one? sorry but i know they don't want to or they don't have time to separate GSM and CDMA forum so is hard for us to know if we r using the right stuff in ours phones =[ :crying:

I dont know wich rom is better :/
Some says sense 3.6 is faster than the sense 4 rom on one v
And some says.sense 4.1 makes the phone slower than sense 4.0 ...
And has the camera a new ui ?

A Few Tips for Speed:
*Use maxwen oc/vdd kernel and set minimum to 368mhz
*reboot 3-4 after setting up
*make sure the swap script is running(v. Imp)
*Try to avoid 7 screens
*Force 2D GPU Rendering from Development Options in Settings(very very important)

As for the Kernel I might wait and test it. If I find it stable I'll give a repacked version. Mine is Variant 1, 100uv, I didn't play much games it's mostly XDA.

Did anyone experience from time to time recent apps button not working, in my case for example pressing it shows menu every time so i'm sure the damn button works, but from time to time when i press and hold for recent apps doesn't work , not too often tho but sometimes.

Haven't experienced that myself. Did you change any of the button settings in eqs?
