Hi guys
I have a s5660, running CM7.
Would like to record phone calls automatically, even if it is just my own voice and not the other party (although both would be great). I understand there are some limitations, and I don't want to have to use speaker mode.
Any suggestions on the best way to do this?
I have Tasker... Or if someone could recommend a good app that will do it on the s5660 I don't mind spending a few $$.
i have used so many apps of call recording but i cannt find a good working app....
i think devs should think about it n make for us a stable working app of call recording....
I agree, there are many apps, but no one can do the job right. I tried 3 apps but no result, sometimes the person on other end Notices a BEEP every 30 sec or so, for me i go with Old LG KG200 with built in Call record function, smooth and fine, no loud speakers no Beep. I think i over write about Lg,, but i love my Lg. hehehe
try tape-a-talk app... it worked great for me.
not auto recording though (free version at least)

while browsing trough my windows folders, stumbled uppon record.exe, or something, it was build in by windows, but has been removed, at least, not able to start it up, maybey a way to install it again
I have tried this software, and the voice of the person that talked with me was very low.

I totally agree
It works well if you put the speakers on during the call.
I know this way everybody in the room will hear the convo, but.. it works.
LOL.
Audio notes touch just not good enough...
It doesnt record the one you are talking with (you can vagely hear the other person, as the microphone picks up some of the sound from the personal loudspeaker).
I would like to record all of my calls (crispy clear sound from both parts), and I cant run around with the back side speaker on.
Anny suggestions?
Another ROM update or maybe another program?
thnx..

Has anyone been able to get a call recording app work on the defy? android 2.1 or 2.2?
or even at least been able to AUTO record their own voice for both incoming and outgoing calls?
(I understand my local laws and require no advice with legal issues).
I have tried all apps on the market but none of them work - even worse, some apps disable the mic and thus the person on the other side cant hear anything.
Some apps do record with the mic but while in a phone call it records nothing.
thanks!
flash a chinese 2.2 rom and theres a built in recorder
nice day.
ok, thanks mate, i'll have to try that.
Hi all,
I almost put 2-3 days to investigate Apps for call recording on my SGSII. I installed many Apps on it, however, none of them seems working.
Bottom line is apparently, there is hardware limitation in Android which prevents accessing the incoming voice. and most of the programs work when voice is coming from the speaker.
This seems ridiculous! I mean, come on! I had Nokia 5 years ago and had nice Apps working perfectly for call recording with crystal clear quality.
If there is not such an App and if Android world is unable to perform such an easy task, I will definitely, switch back to Nokia.
Please let me know if you know any WORKING program with good quality without putting the phone on speaker.
Thanks for your time.

I believe total recall works if you select wav as the file format.

Their own website states that the speaker phone must be turned on. So I will keep looking Phone call recording
To record phone calls, start recording, and put the speaker on during the call. Please beware that this doesn't work on all devices.
To record incoming calls, uncheck Pause on incall in the advanced settings, start recording, wait for a call, and put the speaker on. Warning: this may cause certain phones to crash when the incoming call arrives." Need something for a sgh-t989
there are 2 fine solutions mate, that already works for me on stock rom (root required) or cm7:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.killermobile.totalrecall.s2.market
or
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder (pointed by nilsido, too)
both works wonderful.
Hello!
I stupidly threw down for 12 month subscription of StealthGenie to monitor my teenager that struggles with drugs.
I thought I would be able to record the phone calls as per StealthGenie's advertising. Turns out, on the Samsung Galaxy S III , once a call connects the recording goes completely wonky. You can almost hear the back and forth of a phone conversation, but it is like the gain is set way too high ,so everything is far too distorted and staticy to make out.
What's weird is that it only happens when a call CONNECTS. If the phone is just ringing (not being answered), or I activate the "record surroundings" feature, the recording is fine and I can hear everything.
I suspect it may have something to do with the noise reduction feature. I will shut this off and try again but, does anyone know why this might be happening and anything else I could try to resolve it??
Thanks in advance for any help or ideas!!!
...
Don't buy stealthGenie btw. They will not refund you if this feature doesnt work ......... although no where on the website will they tell you it doesnt work for Samsung Galaxy S III. Ialso cant find anyone else that says it doesnt work, or do i HAve any idea how I can fix it.
(I also tested the 3gp AMR-NB audio file for any problems and it does not have any. Its a problem with the software OR the phone itself)

Try these two... a little static too, but atleast you get the job done. But I hope you know its illegal to record calls without notifying the other party, let alone recording your son's calls secretly.
Just feed your teenager some tough love, take the phone away from them, make em get a job and threaten them with rehab
hmmm......
Same issue
I am experiencing the same issue. Did disabling noise cancellation resolve in any way? I think this might be hardware related, and that once the microphone kicks in, it might simply be too close to the speaker to effectively record. On the other hand, I've heard of apps that record well on the Samsung S3.

Not in Texas . You can record calls just fine in Texas without telling anyone on the other line.

Thanks for reminding.
Thanks for your reminding. I'm seeking the phone monitoring software, and have searched online, a lot of apps come out including StealthGenie. I saw Mobile Spy is very popular online, but it is a little expensive and can't try before purchase. Another quite popular is iKeyMonitor, I downloaded its free edition, its features are limited, but it really works well so far.
Hello ,
I wanted to ask if anyone knows how I can increase the microphone gain/sensitivity on my G4 .
For example, when I want to send a voice message in the WhatsApp ,I heard really weak , as if that low gain or something like that .
I also Must say that I don't feel any problem while calls .
I used LG G2 before and I heard stronger by far , also to compare , while sending voice message in the WhatsApp .
My previous LG G2 was rooted and I used Dorimanx kernel and I must say it was great ! I had a option to change the mic gain and many other.
I don't want to root my new G4 , any option to change the gain ? maybe in the engineering mode ?
Thank for everyone .
I must say that I feel the microphone problem only in the WhatsApp voice message !

It seems that the Auto Gain Control of the device.
I will explain,
I downloaded another recording application called Smart Voice Recorder and in the settings when the microphone gain option was on Auto - Device auto gain control - I heard very weak barely spectrum of the sound moves while I was speaking.
Only when I set the GAIN manually more than 1 ,I begin to hear myself normally .
How can I change the auto gain of the device microphone that set ?
Since a week ago I had the LG G2 ROOTED , I used DORINMAX KERNEL and it was excellent ! there was a option to change the microphone gain and another options .
There is a possibility to do so without making ROOT?
Thanks .

I don't think you can make it without root
I am having the same issue with my LG G4 H815. My microphone picks up sounds very poorly, and everyone complains that they cant hear me during calls, and when i use the sound recorder I can barely hear myself speak afterwards.
If i use the camera app and make a video, then the sound is very loud and crisp.
A friend of mine has the exact same phone and when we exchange sound recordings on the facebook messenger app his ones are way louder than mine. I tried this "Smart Voice Recorder" app, and it fixes it, but only within the app.
What good is a phone if I can't make normal phone calls... I'll probably be returning mine after the holidays, such a shame.
Go into the dialer under settings and turn off the noise cancellation. I think when your mouth goes just a little too far from the mic, it cancels you out. Since turning that off, no one has complained on calls. Give it a shot.
The problem is absolutely not with the calls ,it is about the mic when using for record like WhatsApp
People can not hear me in WhatsApp and Skype Plz help ...
Up
Someone ?
Has anyone found a solution to this request?? Even if the phone is rooted, I really would like to increase the mic gain in-call. A lot people complaining that they can't hear me properly
Having the same issues in Whatsapp, if i record a under "Voice Recorder" app is normal.
Any solutions?
