You can now flash an official version of CWM in ROM Manager. Works like a charm. On to CM9...

Try booting into recovery from clockworkmod and flash it the old fashioned way. Some ROMs don't play nicely with the built-in install function. But the working recovery is the key we've needed.
installed through ROM manager, looks like it's working nicely!
It should be noted that this is ClockworkMod Touch, no less. It looks like it's working great!

If you click install recovery it will install the touch version, you don't have to click the lower button (install touch recovery) on the menu.

A huge leap forward, again! We technically now have real support from devs out there. Not only r we gonna get CM9, we also received proper CWM with TOUCH! That is just great.
I just wanna say this real quick to KernelPan!c. If you are reading this Kernel, I know you know that your ROM's days are ticking down as CM9 moves closer to reality, but I just wanna say Thank you for all the hard work you have put in into your wonderful ROM! It has given many users here the hope (if its even the slightest bit) that this phone will not be left undeveloped. You kept supporting your ROM when everyone else has dropped out and I greatly appreciate your dedication. I'm sure many others here will agree with me on this.

Absolutely Thank you so much Kernal, and Bytecode for the original port of CWM it's so awesome...
Not working on LU6200, tried it with ROM manager and also via USB and Adb-method. On reboot I got stuck on LG-Logo and no way to enter Recovery. ROM manager found the CWM without any problem and also installed it. However, after reboot and open ROM manager again it states that there is no compatible CWM version available for my phone. Any ideas ?

It has been said numerous times that the 6200 is not compatible with the 930...
Thanks for clarify this.. Funny that i use a P930 Bell ROM without problems. And what are the exact differences between them than?

button-based one here http://115.com/file/ang2dy4s. the touchscreen-based CWM works perfectly with the engineer version ICS but not with GB.the reverse is true for the button-based one
Many thanks mate! I already checked the gfan-forum but didn't find it. The chinese dev's definitly moving on quickly, i like that.
They already have ICS working, just a prob with SMS now.
Will give it a try right now. Thanks again.

Alright just tried the two versions. The touchscreen-version had the same problem, stuck on first LG-Logo. But the second version without touch is working fine! Thanks again and greets to Mailart for the good work.

Developer "jmztaylor" has done a very good job of creating the "Unofficial CM9 for Supersonic" ROM. Unfortunately I read today that he is leaving the EVO and will not be continuing his work.
My question to the community -- (1) will another developer pick up this project and move forward, or (2) should we consider this project dead and move back to CM7?

yes im still pretty new here and to the rooting community in general but this was indeed my favorite rom i came across and have been following it since the first port over by jmztaylor and just like you i was nearly crushed about the news tho i wish him all the best he did awesome work on the rom thus far. but to your question yes two equally great (from what ive read) are taking over where jmz left off. i saw they should be opening a new thread sometime today i guess once the exchange of files and information is good. tho at least this great rom will continue on as ive flashed a lot of ics roms and this has been the most stable for me.

You would have had to partition your SD card in recovery. Since more than likely you haven't don't this please download the Non A2SD version.

Havana well he fact out go it made this pointless lol my bad my app hadn't updated for some reason glad you got it to work its an awesome from been on his since dirt took over and ran jmz's before that. Never a random boot or any other issue really. Other then the stock SMS app doesnt split texts. But that's an easy fix
I have been watching the Team Dirt development link for progress on the CM9 Port ROM. I see lots of discussion around cosmetic things and useless banter...but I am unable to find actual updates or improvements to the Rom itself.
The last download for the rom was 5-17...is this the latest version or am I using an old link? Or perhaps the features not working can't be fixed so all the dev can do is cosmetic stuff...not sure. Does anyone know?
Regards.

Changelog 08/6/12:
Initial release
Known Bugs:
Camcorder is borked.
External SD Card doesn't mount when plugged into a computer.
Basically everything is working on this rom except for video recording and external usb mounting. Also not all of the rom control features have been implemented yet, but I personally think this rom is daily driver material. I will update this as armyveterangunner29 updates his thread. Again he has done all the work on the rom, and all I did was fix the rotation for us, so make sure to go thank him for this rom, and thederekjay for his kernel!
Finally I'd like to thank Whitehawkx for starting, and continuing development, on our device. Without him we probably wouldn't be here, so make sure to thank him! If any of you want to use the most stable, and official, version of AOKP you can get it right here:

original install with aroma= no camera for me, i reverted back to venom#666 and it fixed the issue..all is great in my phone now...these are my findings for my phone ..thanks alot JPOKeefe! i have my DD and yes it still is an AOKP..
I flashed this with the venom 666 kernel.
So far so good for me. camera works (although it has the green flash glitch on display - works just fine though and I can live with that), as does GNow+Voice.
Up until now, it was a one or the other type scenario where one would work, but the other wouldn't.
I'm restoring apps now, will try out a few things (netflix, youtube) later to see how they do.

Youtube seems to be working just fine for me, but I cannot get Netflix to play any videos.
Good ROM for a DD. Like others mentioned, Camera, Gnow+voice, Youtube work great. Netflix streaming is not working right now. Noise suppression is unchecked by default and needs to be manually checked once. I wish this was opposite after install. Can't wait for more AOKP features to be implemented. Great work!

flash BOTH using a recovery of your choice CM first then touch (can only guarantee CWMR working use TWRP cautiously but it will most likely work and you must migrate from a 4.2.1 or 4.2.2 ROM for the correct kernel) and WIPE EVERYTHING if you flash a kernel after with a built in wifi driver it may get WiFi working (Untested theory )

Re: [WIP][NOT HIGHLY TESTED]ROM UBUNTU TOUCH FOR SGS3 D2att
Welp, here goes nothing!
**Edit: and nothing she went. Black screen after initial Samsung logo nothing after that. Let sit while I showered and still unresponsive after I came back. Its a shame, was really excited to try this but for me it is not working.
Why was this rom released to the public? It's barely an alpha release.
Re: [WIP][NOT HIGHLY TESTED]ROM UBUNTU TOUCH FOR SGS3 D2att
Mmm exciting
are you on a CM10.1 kernel YOU MUST HAVE A JB KERNEL and blackscreening is a issue (not my code that broke it) though you should be able to use ADB and wipe everything which is needed so do that

Really helpful comments...but seriously in an open minded context that's a valid question. He could have been asking what order do the two zips get flashed in, does he wipe system and data then flash etc and etc. Not to mention there is talk in comments about wiping through ADB which I'm pretty sure 90% of the ROM downloaders do just that, flash ROMs and know nothing more or know how to use ADB or even know what it really is. Sure a quick Google search van help but over all the common ROM junkie just downloads nothing more.
Also using the adb method I got past the Samsung logo with a white flash then black screen. Will try again later.
it's for developers it's a developer preview no order and i didn't say to wipe (which i should of sorry for being a a$$hole)

Yeah... im trying to find a good build you can install the apps via the ppa EDIT: the first link now works
Hi there,
After I have tried to shrink a titan black bottom navigation bar. I have found that it is required several steps to do in resizing this bar. So I created a zip file that can be flashed through CWM in order to resize a Nav. bar by half in both portrait and landscape orientation. In fact, this function can be found in PA (ParanoidAndroid) custom firmware. You can also find a manual way in resizing this bar by de-compiling and re-compiling framework-res.apk but if you are lazy to do or do not know how to do and want to stick with an original rom, this is your solution.
Sorry that I could not provide a screenshot but after modifying you will be surprised on a larger usable screen area on your N7.
*** Warning - DO back up your ROM first, in case anything goes wrong. This works on a stock firmware. Please do not try on a custom rom as I could not guarantee a result. Edit: Some users reported that this does NOT work with a custom rom as well as a stock 3G model. ***
Tested environment - Asus Nexus 7 Stock JB 4.2.2
Edit : A stock framework added for going back to default, in case forgot to do a backup.

Downloading, will test in the evening

make a nandroid backup & try it yourself that is the only way you are gonna find out & if it doesn't then at least you can revert back to your backup without any problems
Will do, just wanted to see if anybody had tried it first I'll post back with results in the next few days
EDIT: So I tried this instead of doing my revision, and my ROM wouldn't boot. Naturally, I restored the nandroid backup, but when I rebooted, the same thing happened; it now hangs on the boot animation and won't do anyhting useful!
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796
It worker for me
I'm using Kaos Droid 5.1.5 and I can confirm that this also didn't work for me. Wouldn't get past boot on a custom ROM so yeah as the poster originally said it works on stock ROM but a custom ROM it does not! But I nice post non-the-less.

Thanks, all sorted now. Gutted this didn't work... I've been looking for an alternative for a few hours and haven't found anything. I'd love som PA style nav bar tweaks without having to use PA!

Thank you for providing a screenshot since I do not have time to do. I am really busy with my thesis these days. Anyway, glad to hear that.

Normally, a backup option in CWM would archive all data in a device except /sdcard. Which version of CWM did you use ?

I'm using a newish, but not the latest, TWRP recovery with multi ROM, it was my first time making/restoring a backup though, so I probably did something wrong!

Oh, I never use TWRP before. I am sticking with CWM since a start. So I bet your recovery backed up a wrong one. No problem with CWM back up though.
No worries, I've looked into it since and realised that mutiROM Roms cannot be back up... probably should've realised that before hand! Oh well, if an update is released for more roms I'll risk it all over again

Well, no plan for a custom ROM right now. I am going to make a mod on N4 first. Thanks for interesting my work anyway.
I've been looking for something just like this for my Nexus 4. Anybody going to be kind and make it? I've tried myself and failed several times already... No biggie since I made a backup before screwing my phone up several times. I'm running a stock rooted rom, and nobody likes to make many cool mods like this if you want to stick with the stock. After I get a smaller nav bar my next goal is to make the icons green.

Hang in there, I am planning to do such kind of this mod on N4 too but after my final exam ^ ^. Maybe in the next week, mod for N4 should be out.
