Looking to understand i18n

I'm looking to understand something about internationalisation and fonts on Windows Mobile 6 (mine is a HTC Touch Cruise). The practical problem is that my user interface is European but when I receive e-mails and text messages in Hebrew I only see squares. I don't need to write in Hebrew or to change the MUI.
I'm not looking for a commercial product - I'm a software developer myself (but not on Windows Mobile) and feel very comfortable modifying registry entries, swapping files and the like. What I'd like to understand is the mechanics of the problem.
I've read about changing the system font and have changed it to one that supports Hebrew with the following results: the popup notification when a message arrives is now in Hebrew characters (but backwords), but when I open the messages they're still only squares. Is there a system font that isn't covered in the above link? A system default codepage issue?
Many thanks for pointers, explanations and suggestions

Using Hebrew and touchflo

I have an application that requires a Hebrew font on my Touch HD. I have copied the Hebrew font that I need to windows\font and I can then use the font is then available for me to use in my application.
The problem is that touchflo for some reason picks up this font in some places. Most of touchflo is OK but when I dial someone's phone number for instance I get a load of garbage on the display rather than the name of the person that I am calling. Does anyone know how to control the fonts that toughflo uses?
Thanks

Windows 8.1 : hot to change font size/type on keyboard

Hello,
I am using a Samung 700t for now a month, and I have a problem when using the extended virtual keyboard (the one with cursors keys): the fonts on the keys are too small, it's a bit hard to read what's written on the keys.
If I use the standard virtual keyboard, the fonts are fine as they are displayed in bold type. But on the extended keyboard, it is not bold.
Does anyone know how to change the font type or size on the virtual keyboard of Windows 8.1 ?
I guess it may be possible by modifying the registry but how to ...
Thanks

Change keyboard layout

Hello guys,
I have an Elite x3, and I have a problem with keyboard layout. Bulgarian language has two different keyboards - standard one, called BDS, and phonetic one (where Cyrillic symbols correspond to their Latin sounds) . Until August update the situation was acceptable - the layout on the phone was phonetic, but when you connect external keyboard via Continuum, it turned to BDS, where you can write with 10 fingers. So I'm sure, that both layouts are included in Windows mobile. In August update, MS made it phonetic everywhere - both on the phone and external keyboard. I write a lot, with 10 fingers, which is simply impossible with the phonetic layout - it is optimised for another language.
Is it possible to change the layout from phonetic to the standard one using Interop tools, or any other way?
Thank you in advance!

Keyboard layout changes based on context

Has anyone else noticed this? I have only enabled Finnish layout and when I use password or URL fields the layout changes to EN(UK) which is the system language.
It's really annoying because the letters move a slight amount to different places.
I wonder of any other languages has this issue. Google or reddit doesn't give any results for the issue.
I'm writing from a French device so I too need a few more layouts, but since physical keyboards can't shift themselves I changed all the layouts of all languages to Azerty to avoid always searching for keys.
Can you check if its enabled for yours too?
