Since I can't post in the development section, I have to ask here. Is there any way to run or port Sense 4.0 clock/weather widget to Runny ROM or Runnymede AIO? Chances of getting Sense 4.0 on the Desire are pretty low, so I thought it would be great to at least have this great looking widget onboard.

I am pretty sure a running a Sense-4.0-things on older versions of Sense directly is impossible, but with porting there could be chance (but imho it's very low).

It has a newer skin of Sense that allows you to download different "skins" for the launcher and some other UI aspects. It's rather nifty.

The Stock incredible has HTC Sense v2.0
The Z Roms use HTC Sense v2.1
In HTC Sense v2.1 you get better contact integration and added support for picasa & linkedin. The browser is also retooled along with being ability to skin sense as the previous poster pointed out. There are more options that I'm forgetting but if you haven't tried a Z rom out I would suggest it, it makes the stock version feel a bit long in the tooth.

The simple and sweet answer to your question is that it's a ROM based on a port from the HTC Desire Z.
Try any of them Super, Uber, Warm they are all good.

Guys I want to know were I can get the official sense ROM that came with the desire z, thinking that it will be best since all other sense ROMs here have one problem or the other..... oh by the way if you can drop it's details as in android version(last update) and sense version... thanks in advance

But I Can't agree that this is rom without problems. There are plenty awosome roms for usage. If you want stable and nice sense rom, choose ARHD 7.04. If nonsense, I suggest MImicry.

Just a quick question. Seeing all the great ROM development going on here (basically, we have 99% functional CM10, and full Sense 4.1 ported as well), I was just wondering: why is there no development going on on porting Sense 4.5 to our CM10 base? Is it only because it's only on higher resolution devices and thus the screen size doesn't match? Or is there some greater difference here?
A semi-related question: would it be possible to port Sense 4.1 to a Jelly Bean base?

Doesn't amazing sense use CM9 as a base? Anyway, basically I just think it would be great to have either sense 4.1 or 4.5 with jelly bean under the hood

I guess the reason nobody gives you an answer may be, that those, who use CM may hate Sense, otherwise they'd maybe use a custom-rom with Sense.
However, knowing CM to be very stable and well developed, I'd like to have it with Sense, too. I like Sense!
I just compared it to my mom's new Galaxy SIII's interface, and it kicks the Galaxy's ass! Alone the Sense text-input is so much better, coming already close to SmartKeyboard's, which may not be as nice as Swift, but is still pretty clever. Or the way Sense does folders! Just drop one icon onto another. Can't be easier. Search everyhwere, even in the app screen, very nice. Apps are not about looks, but about functionality, all go hand in hand, very nice. And the music-player! Wow! Really like it. Only the status/info-bar in the Galaxy is a killer. You can switch on/off all important things from it, WiFi, Blutooth, PowerSaving mode (which is nice), sync, GPS, areoplane mode, etc.
ha ha... i tried to put sense ui on MIUI once... it was a disaster... :silly:
I would love to see sense + jellybean! I'm a big fan of Google Now and it has an update which adds more cards and I can't update it running extreme sense.

well this is question that haunt all people out here. i am asking people that is all the development is now halted for our willy. ? i am not developer but i am asking why is so ... i mean i know willy don't have GPU. well this thing is there is right from the past. but people are still manage to get 4.0 and manged to make it working properly.. And is development is stopped because we don't have kernel 3 for our willy ? will kernel 3 ever be able to get compiled for this little buddy ???
i don't know, maybe someone will compile new kernel (; but there are ics roms which have no bugs at all. did you try wasimk's aokp or jordfaz's mini cm9? they work great and i didn't noticed any bugs we still have some development but it isn't as high as a year or two years ago. just take a look into ultrabeam series (; stone.cold is often updating his rom (;

i tried each and every out of them...and i like wasim's roms very much
yup, Wasim makes great ports, most of things work, roms are smooth and responive and looks great. but for now i'm sticking with ultrabeam 1.5 because it's still getting updates and is becoming better and better (; i really like its kitkat style (;

Yes for the moment, all the developpement are stopped , as there is no more a big team of dev.
I ave make some personal port of gb rom, and they work like nexus me kikat edition, so i will upload them if i have some free time.
That would be great..
