Memory problem - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I was wondering why I have so little space on my epic 4g touch.
I've tired to remove all the bloatware. I also rooted my phone to try and use a file explorer to seach for large files. No luck
Any help would be great.

You are going to need to be more specific. Are you referring to storage capacity or system memory(RAM)?

USB storage.

You can go into Settings>Storage>USB Storage and that will show the total space as well as what's using the space. (Apps, pictures, audio, etc...)
(Note: I'm on ICS FE22. If you're on GB steps may be the same or similar?)

What is the difference between USB storage and system memory?

Do you have apps installed? Do you have blur? I think that is normal

Have you ever bought an sd card or harddrive? They advertise higher capacities than what you get. system files take up space, and since they aren't meant to be touched, their space is blacked out

simply...
the defualt application itself....system apps rather
it would be 2gb... but, there nothing inside, (would only look like a 2gb sd card)

Get Free Storage and Mount it as a Virtual Drive

Just added a new tutorial to the Toolkit thread providing the process for grabbing a bunch of free storage and then mounting it as virtual drives on your desktop. I have 137.4GB worth of virtual drives currently mounted on my laptop. And this of course all is available to access from your Android device
Post #4 [Resource] Epic 4G Touch Owner's Toolkit
This information is out there already, I just consolidated it for our E4GT users. The Virtual drive methods I have been using for a couple of years, but I also have been finding some new services that are even easier. I listed a couple in the thread and will post more as I find them. Otixo is a great one to check out.

You were on an AOSP ROM before, weren't you? That is where all your pictures and everything got moved to with the AOSP ROM to allow for the multi user capabilities I'd 4.2+. You need to flash the sd card downgrade zip that is found in the cm10.2 thread

As can be seen above, the "total space" is 11.78gb (of 16gb), with 594mb available. Adding up everything on the device, I've only used 5.8gb of space. Where did that additional 5.4gb of space go, and what can I do to get it back?
Pertinent device info:
Tab Pro 8.4 (SM-T320)
Cyanogenmod 11, Snapshot M11 (mondrianwifi)
Thanks in advance for all of your help, gents. It'll be very much appreciated! :good:
Check for any backups created in recovery. They gobble up space. Backup to your external sdcard.
