Can't you reinstall them with motomizer? If not, a factory reset would probably do the trick.

thats what i thought
but it didnt restore the apps.
1) I installed motomizer
2) I deleted the email apps via Motomizer
3) I did a factory reset (forgot to restore the apps via motomizer)
4) Formated the MicoSD (which deleted the backup app from motomizer)
Now i dont have the email apps even after a factory reset
I installed motomiser again after reset, but the apps i deleted prior to the reset are not there in the restore tab maybe because i formated the MicroSD where they were backed up by motomizer.

You didn't use any automatic backup app. You have to manually reinstall apps.

I don't mean apps. I mean contacts, messages, etc.
I had a failed Nandroid restore. I can see the following on my PC:
Android_Secure
boot
cache
data
nandroid.md5
recovery
system
All are .img files except for the nandroid. Is there a way to move my contacts back over to my phone? I'd appreciate any help as I have a lot of contacts. I'm currently running another ROM.
Google Contacts sync is looking pretty good right now, eh?

back them up with google, thats what i have been doing and im able to swap android phones and keep my contacts
I thought I had done a Google backup, but then I realized that most of my contacts had been created to the phone and not Google. So I was only able to restore the handful that were backed up to Google. Now, back to my original question. Anyway that I can restore those .img files back to the phone?
I'd really appreciate any help.

So just to confirm, your nandroid is corrupt? If so then you are more or less SOL AFAIK. I don't know exactly if you can mine out contact information from the backup.
Yes it must be corrupt as it keeps erroring when I try to install.

For future reference you can go to your contacts and hit menu/export contacts, and it will save them to your sdcard.

make sure your battery level is not too low when you try and restore nand. Also what recovery are you using?

How the hell do u back your contacts up to Google?? Whenever I sync to Google from 'accounts and sync' nothing happens..and now i have successfully deleted all my contacts from my phone after clearing the Contacts app data cache, which i read might help...Luckily i have nandroids to pull the data from.. How exactly do i go about re-flashing the contact data back to the phone from the nandroid, so i can then back em up to Google/export them the the sdcard?? (without restoring the entire nandroid)
Idk if its my ROM or what..but its frustrating..

What you can do is try to do the google sync again, hopefully it should work. Then go into you contacts, push menu, and should give you the option to copy and do an import/export of contacts.
Yeah, i'm doing a full nandroid restore now to get my contacts back, then ill back em up to the sd card, flash a new ROM, then restore em and hopefully Google sync will work then..hopefully

Hello,
I wanted to update my firmware, unfortunatelly my device was fully formated ... How reinstall all apps automatically from playstore ?
I can see my 156 apps in google playstore.... But reinstall them one by one would be very boring !
Thanks for your help.
Just open Playstore in computer...sign into playstore and click my android apps in the upper right hand corner...there you will see which all apps were installed on your device...jst keep pressing install and things will be installed on to your phone...!!
Hope this helps
kskendsup, that's exactly what he(everyone) DOESN'T want to do. He has 156 apps
I am in need of a similar solution, I just flashed and did a full wipe, but android/google play refuses to sync my apps like it did before.
Is there anyway to automate downloading and installing all the apps listed in "My Apps"? I do have root access.
/sorry for threadjacking
How about downloading an macro recorder or similar program on PC and make it press install in every app you have in play store.
And to prevent this from happening again, use titanium backup. You can even transfer your titanium backups to pc in case of full wipe.
For future reference why not get a backup program like Mybackup Pro or Titanium Backup? Titanium offers scheduled backups and has a lot of other features like only keeping 3 backups, or 1 if you prefer.
To reinstall most apps the simplest way I find is to login to my Google account, turn WiFi on and after a few minutes it starts to restore them. Remember to check the box that asks if you want it to keep your device backed up.
If neither of these are what you want then I don't know what you can do. I normally backup a ROM and the apps separately so I can always recover if an update to a ROM requires a full wipe.
Guys, if I format the CD card, do all system folders get deleted also? Or it'll just delete user data?
The formatting of the SD card means that everything will get deleted but i guess the important folders are made by system again which are required for the system to run...!!

Formatting sdcard alone will not format system and user data (unless for some apps on asec).
Format system and wipe data thru CWM will delete them

Just asking to make sure the formatting won't brick my phone..
@dionas
I had and loved to use titanium BUT
When my all phone was erased by updating firmware, titanium has also gone !. So titanium isn't the solution in my case .

Nah it wont brick..unless you totally wipe it through CWM and then no rom is loaded onto it, it would not start but thats not bricking it..!!
If you just normally format your SD card it means only your music n things like that will be deleted..no chance of bricking i guess..!!
I recently rooted my at&t S3 and up until recently I haven't been able to use any google services. I first noticed it with the google play store when I opened the app it would say "No Connection" with a box underneath that said retry. No mater what I do it still persists. I've cleared the cache, attempted to uninstall updates but i would be stuck on the uninstall page indefinitely. I looked in the google accounts I was using and signed out of both of them but when I try to sign back in it tells me it can't establish a connection? I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve me having to hard reset

Do you have a internet connection (3G-4G)? Are you notification icons gray or blue? (Blue = connected with Google)
Check to make sure you APNs to make sure they all match. You can also try to clear your Play Store's cache/data as well as clear your accounts info.

I have a steady connection. I've tried on wifi along with 4G and still nothing. I haven't been getting any notifications from google. Cleared all account data as well. I think the problem started when I used root app delete to clear up some unused system apps. I didn't disable any apps that that looked harmful but after the problem I enabled them all again.

Well then, chances are that you will have to reset it. Backup your stuff first though.
Apps/data -> Titanium Backup
Copy your personal files on a external SD or on your pc and contacts to your sim if they're not sync'd with your google account.
Playing with system apps is never a good idea (unless you really know what you're doing)
Another option would be to grab pre-rooted stock Odin for your carrier, you will still need to backup though.

I figured I'd end up resetting where do I find a thread on how to backup? I have titanium backup but I have no idea how to recover the files after the factory reset

TiBu will make a folder on your internal SD (named Titanium Backup), just save that folder on your pc or External SD if you're worried about your internal storage getting wiped.
Once your phone is back up, just restore with TiBu *don't restore any system apps*
