[Q] Carrier Name failure - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

The Carrier Name on my friends Galaxy Nexus is showing additionally to the real name this string '@@@' (see image below). It is running ICS 4.0.2
Does anybody know where this could possibly come from?

Sigh... this was mentioned at least once before. It's most likely a malware app.

I know and i tried to search for this in the forums but to no avail. guess the string '@@@' is hard to search(find). Google totally ignores it too

I'll see if I can find the thread. If not, check the apps. See what third party apps have been downloaded and then we can give more insight to what it might be.

Finally found it. Phew. I don't see an answer though. I'm assuming it was a third party application.

I had this as well but it seemed to go away on its own after an hour or so? Only happened once though....

Something similar happened once where ROGERS became @OGERS on the phone. It cleared after I rebooted.
No malware
Stock unlocked/unrooted 4.0.1 yakjuux
I sent the screenshot I took to Google, but as expected, they didnt care

A simple reboot was not enough.
He had to remove the battery as well. This fixed it and the characters did not reappear since than.

Secret Codes

Hi!
I just wanted to know why the secret codes aren't enabled. When making ROMS, I've never seen anything to stop them. Us it just in the old Android? It's on the Samsung Galaxy. Sorry for the stupidity.

What are you going on about?
The secret codes, like:
*#*#(number)#*#*
Some work and some don't. Depends on the make of phone, as they seem to have their own ones.

Code:
*#*#3424#*#*

It's not. *#*#4636#*#* gives phone testing and info
In the ROMS below 2.3.5 there is only one. I have two at the moment.

This is what were complaining about. This was my 1st g-nex and now i'm on my 3rd and everything seems to be ok *knocks on wood*. I bought this phone full retail and this is totally unacceptable. If you want to be "ok" with something like this, go ahead, it's not my money

Yeah, it seems to only be working for a fraction of users, just wanted to give people a heads up in case theirs was compatible like mine. Sorry to disappoint

Huh... this is weird. I've had it installed for a while now; via the play store - I'm rooted and it gives me a notification saying "Unsupported Device," but it works just fine.

Rooted devices display the 'unsupported device' banner. The application should still function fully though

I'm sorry...what? This is my first post on this subject... But thanks.
Edit: That is strange... exact same post ran twice. Was not intentional. Sorry if that impact on your life in such a negative fashion. I apologize that you had to take time out of your undoubtedly important day to post a reply.
If an accidental double post is all you have to concern yourself with... I'd say your doing pretty well... And I'm infinitely jealous.

Dont be jealous...your life will improve soon...I feel it! Hang in there!
Until then, here's the apk you need. Simply move it to the system/app folder, and delete the TWCalender apk, then reboot.
Thank you! My life is better already! !

Having an issue with memory

OK so you know how were supposed to have like 14 gigs ? I wanted to use a storage analyzer to give me some data and see why I have so much little space left and from what I'm seeing I'm still lost lol. I noticed I have 4 files though 2 are modern combat 3 one is an obb file and the other doesn't let me see it but they are both different sizes but take up huge amounts of space and the other two are modern combat 4 same situation with that file there are two different ones it seems and both take up huge amounts of space is it because I backed them up in titanium ? I'm not sure but I used two different analyzers to try and get a view

Looks like something got messed between your update from 4.1 to 4.2.
Most correct option: wipe sdcard and wipe data.
Easiest: not sure as I wouldn't want to be dealing with that stuff.
