Yes via CWM
If you where on OTA ICS 4.0.3 you can try not wiping data
and just Cache and Dalvik but no guarantees

This sounds perfect! I want to try it, but I do use the Gmail app. Has that been removed from this ROM?

G-Mail ins still inside...gut I miss the usual e-mail app, now I must use an external e-mail app.
All in one, the rom is really fast and smooth. I tried the AOKP 4.0.4, but that version is a little bit slow.

The "problem" with the e-mail.apk is done...I took the com.android.email.apk and the com.android.exchange.apk from my Galaxy Nexus with AOKP and everything works fine!

smooth and fast
Installed this morning without any issues. Seeems very fast. I quickly installed SetCpu to control my overclocking and quick boot to get my usual shutdown menu functionality. Plan to run for awhile. Hope others can incorporate 4.0.4 in their rooms.

Thank you so much ShonkUK!!! I have stock rooted and this worked really well for me via CWM flash and cache wipe. Didn't have to touch data, so everything stayed the same!
I do miss the email apk though - I had merged two accts there. Is it possible for you to post email and exchange apk and odex files?

As I asked on topic, this is quite important to me cos Whatsapp is the only free messenger that my mom knows how to use and I'm a big fan of JB

I think downloading it from playstore doesn't work, complains about compatibility. You can download it from www.whatsapp.com/download

The given link did not work for me when I tried today from my mobile. (but works with desktop pc). The link i used to install is to use the word android after the whatsapp domain to get this app installed.
Also make sure to turn on the setting to install apps from other souces to get it installed sucessfully

could any jelly bean users confirm if PlayStore actually allows whatspp already? or is it will under "incompatible", lazy to flash my rom to check it out.

Yeah pal, WhatsApp works fine on JB. I have CM10 and all apps work. If you use SwiftKey then install titanium backup, make a back up, uninstall and then re install. This is because you lose it when rebooting.

You have to do a manual install (www.whatsapp.com/download), it wont install from the play store.
And then you can use something like Easy Installer to install the .apk

Well I already tried some jb Roms and all were compatible with whatsapp, but I never installed it from play store, I always restored it with titanium...

2. Open it with ES File Explorer

I have viber on the phone. I did not know that. Maybe you can update op for newb user like me. Used my other phone and it works.:beer:

Or you can use your titanium backup file.. just restore it on your N7.. works for whatsapp also...

Google viber apk.
Or if you have an android phone than download it from play store.
With ESFileExplorer send it to your gmail. Open gmail on Nexus and install it.

I was using viber for a long time untill yesteday Itried to upgrade it to the latest version (2.3.0.694) via Blackmart. after that I couldn't open it any more and it just gave error "unfortunately, viber has stopped". I've uninstalled it, and after that I cannot install it again. I tried play store some other markets and apk file and it can't install it. even I tried prevoius version apk file (that used to work just fine) but it cannot be installed either.
what should I do? is there any cache or something that prevents it to be installed?

A restart should fix your problem. It'll clear any leftover data and allow you to reinstall.

What I've done:
Rooted
Deodexed
Busybox
Zipaligned
Batch Optimized
CRT off animation.
This is pure stock, I have not debloated it as I do use some of the apps on stock ICS, so feel free to remove what you like.
No fancy bootanimation just stock as thats not a big deal to me.
You can flash the lite kernel if you wan to change the bootanimation as I have not modified the kernel to do so, just rooted it.

Only one question: can the GSM hangups, mentioned on this forum for a dozen of times (after approx. 10 hours of uptime) fixed?
When I used stock UCLH2, they gave no chance to use glide as a phone, so I had to revert to 2.3.5

I just realized something! I just flashed your dd and your mod, I noticed that the mod installs the framework.res.apk file! the tethering fix does the same! we will have to combine the two mods to have both!
I can report that tethering works with Kombatant's tethering fix, but the power menu does not show at all! it somewhat resets the launcher and radio! I reinstalled your power menu mod.
I also checked the "about phone" info it is showing that I still have thegreatergood's kernel installed, in order to change the kernel the one click ics leak will need to be installed or find and install the stock ics kernel to get back to stock!

Thanks dman for the rom.
for the fb issu above, i had the same issue. i could not update. what worked for me is to delete fb (I used titanium) and then reinstall by logging into gplay from my PC and clicking install on the fb app page.

Well, just for info - the issue I described above with hanging up GSM/lost calls and clock/wifi indicators quickly updating after power on - persist.
The only way to fix - reboot
But the ROM is surely faster than stock UCLH2.

It's because the ROM is overclocked. The Min CPU was set up to around 1050 MHz (I think) an the Max CPU was 1150 MHz, thus making the amount of battery drain on the ROM really fast. Although a very stable and accurate ROM, the battery life would last hardly a hour or so. I could get about a battery loss of 10% in 15 minutes with it yesterday? So I turned it down to around 450 MHz of Min CPU and 900 MHz of Max CPU, and battery life seems improved to me.

so let me get something straight, the kernel in this ROM is OCed?

I deinstalled the rom and installed the rom LH2 from Sammobile: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=8&view=6468
The problem of this rom is, that no app could be updated and e.g. google maps could be deinstalled via Titanium backup * root but not reinstalled again.

That's because I signed this ROM with my own keys. This is not a custom ROM for updates or changing. I only posted because people wanted me to post my daily driver. They won't update because I resigned them.

First I wanna ask if I combaine this zip and the litekernel to one installable package do I still need to install ics via kies or via the one click install of leak?
Second can I just install gapps sign zip for ics via cwmr after this rom installation to make it orginal sign and the apps can be updated via play store?

I think u missunderstood me, I read in older posts that apps in your rom can't be update via play store as you said it were signed with your keys. So I wanted to install gapps thar are orgianly signed by google via cwmr after I install your rom so it will revert to orginal signed version and then we can update those apps via play store.

Should I be concerned?
Running a stock ROM but rooted Virgin Mobile HTC One V. My other devices (rooted and ROMed Kindle Fire and Optimus V) updated to the new Play Store at least 2-3 weeks ago, my HTC One V still has 3.10.14.
I did zap all the updates hoping it would then update to the new version but no luck.

I've had it, didn't want to update a system app manually like that unless I had to.

Clear data on the playstore app and reopen it find an app that you like and begin downloading it then back all the way out of the playstore and wait till the app is finished downloading and reopen the playstore of its not updated by then just wait about fifteen minutes and the open it again should help. And make sure you don't have it hibernating on greenify

Be patient man I just got the update today on my One V. If you cant wait you can search for the apk on xda and update it.
