i recently rooted my Xperia Play R800i to install cyanogenmod 7.1 but when i installed it, it no longer detected my SIM Card.....or any service or signal for that matter so i restored it back to Android 2.3.2 which can now detect my SIM card and everything but the Wifi no longer works and when i try to turn it on it keeps saying error
is there any advice on how to fix it? i will greatly appreciate any help
Have you tried using flashtool? I would try that with the appropriate ftf file for your phone.
I believe Your using wrong modules for your ROM or kernel

Did you flash the stock kernel.sin? Wifi won't work because your still using the CM kernel.

Hey there... Need some help.... My acro s was working perfectly fine previously... Just had a little issue with mobile connection which goes off occasionally.
So i changed my sim card yesterday.
Today when i put in the new sim card (micro sim) my acro s keeps rebooting.
But the new sim works fine on my ip4.
When i change back to my old sim it works fine on my acro s. But that sim has been deactivated.
Acro s in running miui 4.04.
Any suggestions?

one note: when i press the on/off button on the top, the reboot menu pops up and at the line flight mode, that swith changes permanent from on to off.....
Please! Anyone
Excuse my awfull english
Hard reset using power and volume up until 3 vibrations. Then give it a good few seconds and turn back on. Then leave it for a few minutes to load up fully. Don't touch it. Then see if you have signal back

My Xperia suddenly stopped connecting to mobile networks for some reason. The antennae is fine, it detects the networks but doesnt connect to them. I flashed the same rom and a couple of others to see what happens but the same problem persists. What should I do?
Try this
ONLY IF YOUR BOOTLOADER IS UNLOCKED flash another kernel and a rom , and reset all of your settings , if the problem is still there contact someone to repair your phone ... preferably sony.

Tried different kernels and roms, no luck...
i suggest
its probably best to send your xperia for repairs , if not Try messing around with your GSM card or sim or what ever you want to call it, it may not be your phone
So I have an Xperia S which has the newest official firmware from Nordic, and it keeps disconnecting the sim card after a while of use of the Facebook app. Sent it for a repair, and they told me nothing is wrong with the hardware
So is it a problem with the firmware? I tried installing everything again and still have the problem.. should i flash a custom rom instead?
please help its getting really annoying and i cant find any help anywhere
