I've been on Shadow and Shuriken excuse me if I misspelled it but no matter what when I over clock it past 1ghz, it stays at 1ghz. I'll set the minimum at 1.4 or now 1316mhz it just shows up as 1000mhz and won't go past that. Any suggestions? Yea I'm prepared to get flammed

This oc app really made my phone unstable, and it ran hot and killed batteries. Though, it could have been a combination of things tthat I did. I would not recommend it. But, good luck!
I didn't try the kernel. I just found it odd that a kernel was available through the market, so I stayed away from it.

There is a "set on boot" option in Tegrak. It gives you a good taste of what GB will be like when we get some overclockable kernels.

First a few questions, Is your bootloader locked or unlocked? Are you rooted? How much do you want to overlock?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=803682a is what I rooted with, I would like to possibly get 1.2 max and min ( stable)
If your bootloader is locked then you cant do anything to overclock. Having root isn't enough because you need a custom kernel
If its unlocked then you can flash a kernel an have max possible o/c of 2.0ghz.

That would be a really bad thing to do; that would mean that even when your phone is doing nothing, it would still be running at 1024Ghz, massively draining the battery

Why would you ever do this? There is no need/benefit; you're forcing the processor to run at a high speed than it needs.

I'm not talking about the maximum speed, I'm talking about setting the minimum clock speed to that amount. You're setting the phone to ALWAYS run at 2Ghz, even when it doesn't need it (you're phone doesn't need to be running at 2Ghz when you are just staring at the lockscreen). You should read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overclocking
I don't need to read that. I know what I did and I know what your saying. I simply set it like that for the photo and for fun. I know what I'm doing thank u

Cool. Fun, new question because I bit the bullet and flashed v3 anyway:
Why is every setting I choose an invalid choice except for the ondemand profile? It's the only setting that doesn't error out.

I switched from the amaze to the S2, the first thing the stands out to me, how slow the keyboards are on the S2. I could text pretty fast on the amaze and never have a lag issue, as with the s2, sometimes it won't even pick up a key stroke or a word I have entered. I am a huge 4x3 T9 user, I loved the keyboard that was on the amaze, Is it possible to get an apk of that keyboard and put it on the S2?
Could it even be a screen issue? I feel like sometimes I have to hit the space bar 2 or 3 times.
Keyboard lag is a key known issue with ICS.. If you want a T9 keyboard you might want to consider a third party apps that does it because I have tried to use keyboards from LG HTC and others and I could never get them to work

I have been thinking about flashing a custom rom, but at the same time this is my only phone and I don't have a lot of money. The chances of bricking it are slim, I'm tech savvy, but if i do I'm SOL. As for haptic feedback, there is no option under sound...

Well when you stated that you have a XXXX score in QUADRANT anybody can assume you are referring to a score with the QUADRANT APPLICATION. What you have is a XXXX score on benchmark using ANTUTU BENCHMARK APPLICATION. The best score using QUADRANT I see posted for our phone is 4780 if I'm not wrong. Antutu is a benchmark APPLICATION, not a QUADRANT APPLICATION. You are confusing the terms. Just go to GOOGLE PLAY STORE and search for benchmarks and the first or second is QUADRANT STANDARD. I got the ANTUTU BENCHMARK, and my score with CM10 is 8040. But with QUADRANT is only 3980. Hope that clarified the confusion.
This ifs the latest ANTUTU benchmark.
