Is there a way to hide the notification when I pull down the notifications but keep the temperature in the status bar? I don't see an option for this in the settings.

I do not believe that that is an option, which is why you cannot find it.

I'm sure there is, but I would have not a clue where it would lie. Maybe email the developer about it to have them add this as a feature...?

I Tweeted at LevelUp Studio, asking them about this. They said, "technically it is not possible"... I haven't asked further, as an email would probably be the place to get the further explanation.

See that's what I thought at first too, assuming that whenever you have a notification icon you must also have a notification tied to it, and vice versa. Kinda stinks because on something like Elixir2 that gives me notification drop-down toggles, there has to be an icon in the bar at all times (you can set it to be transparent but it still takes up space).
But on an app like GrooVe IP, they can put a notification button in the bar indicating that you're signed into GrooVe IP, but it doesn't have a notification item when you pull down the bar. It is definitely possible!
Yeah, I would think it is too...
Using Tasker that icon is always there, though you can choose to hide it. How ever it still occupies a spot on the status bar, even it the icon is set to transparent. It does show in the notification bar pull down too. Seems like an odd thing to have it only one way...
---------- Post added at 02:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:23 PM ----------
Odd thing too, on DT's AOKP/4.0.4 hybrid from the Weather is displayed like BW does in the notification pull down, but no status bar icon (for temp or anything) is associated with it...gotta be possible.

I like having the "Display Clock on the Title Bar in all programs" option on, so I can keep an eye on the time no matter what is going on, but when using this option the "Battery Meeter" in the Title Bar disappears...I guess it's an either or thing...
Anyone know how to have both?

Flashing a custom WM6.5.x ROM would allow you to have both. Unfortunately, WM6.5 doesn't seem to support both icons in the taskbar at the same time.

There are some great apps that show the battery state across the top of the device as a colored line. Do a search on AvianWavesBattline for that one.
Or I recommend the BattClock program, which allows you to put up a lot of information in the taskbar.
I actually use both...

Cool! I've seen the AvianWavesBattline before, forgot about it, thanks! I have to look up the other one.
I use BattClock too and am happy with it - have it showing the time, battery % and free RAM.

Hi,
when i pull down the status bar in AOKP MR1 (4.2.1) i see the quick settings panel if there are no notifications active, and not, as in stock 4.2, the notification drawer(or panel, don't know how to call it).
I'd like to have the stock behavior, so that i can pull down the status bar and ALWAYS see the notification drawer. Is it possible with a simple method? I tried looking in the settings but didn't find any option for this.
Thank you.

You will have to post this on the developers thread. You will not find an answer here most likely. I hope they can help you there!
go in rom control or status bar toggles and make sure you have some toggles enabled then they should show up, hope this helps

Thank you, but the point is I just want the status bar to show me either the notification panel OR the toggles panel when i pull it down (i'd rather to have always the notification panel). It's a bit confusing that you don't know what's going to be shown when you pull it down..

Weird. There is a way, yes, to disable it. Even to select how much info it shows up.
But I can't find it anymore, somehow.

Actually I found a new problem. Disabling the lockscreen notifications also removes them from the status bar, I don't want this. Can it be fixed so that they are in the status bar but don't pop up on the screen when locked?

Exactly! It seems it's all or nothing now. You either get them on the lockscreen and status bar or not at all. The more and more I use Lollipop, the more and more I dislike it. This is yet another reason. Seriously thinking of going back to KK, Xposed and GravityBox.
how to get this lock screen working on G3 20A? the current one just shows 2 notifications and everything else is just a icon.

Think I am having similar issue. I used Heads Up application for notifications (which is good) however since 5.0 heads up still works, but on my pull down screen I also see a similar notification .. that although I have dismissed with heads up, the lollipop notification still exists. I have done hide notifications, but it still seems to be there

Hello. There is someone who can do mod reducing navbar?
I too would like this but hopefully without root since I'm on Verizon and I don't we'll ever get root

I would also love this but pretty sure it will require root as the navbar is controlled through systemui.apk and any edits to that require root

Could we not use adb to somehow hide them? I know on some phones, for example, the s8 is capable of hiding it through adb. Just a thought...

As you can see I've hidden the nav bar. After 3 second the nav bar goes away. The app does not fill now of the screen. But there's a section to swipe up on to reveal the nav bar again. That's best I've found. See attached screen shots for examples.

@op don't mean to stray from original question of navigation bar. Just sharing.
GMD Auto hide Soft keys, but u need root
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys&hl=de
By setting the Display Size too small under Settings, the navbar can be smaller than default.
But I have another question, I'd like to use clear themes so the whole system UI is clear (not dark or black), but I'd like also whatever clear theme I use, to keep the navbar ALWAYS black, which isn't the case with all the clear themes I've tried.
Some apps follow the on screen app color to make the navbar the same color, but some apps such as xda labs, quickpic, imdb etc. just won't follow and therefore, the navbar remains white or clear (if a clear theme is applied).
I've tried quite a bunch of navbar apps from PlayStore, couldn't find one that would suit my needs, and I don't want to try Substratum app/themes on the G6, cause I've had some "bad" experiences on my previous phones.
So do you guys know if there's a way to mod this?
Thanks and have a nice day.
Interesting question, I'm with you on making the navigation bar (shorter I guess) does anybody know of a way to get fully immersive? I always liked our controls and having something on the screen I don't always need kinda bugs me a little

I wanna do what it says up there^
Or customize it.
This had been universally easy on Samsung devices and pre-marshmallow... But I've had no luck with any Xposed module yet. Tried the regulars, gravity box, wanam, firefds, x-blast, and a few moto-x modules.
My absolute last option will be to do a regex replacement for anything that says SPRINT but ughhh, that's like killing a squirrel with a 44 magnum.
Anybody able to point me to a more surgical method of this?
...(fear I might be stuck with heinous notification icons and carrier text in the bar until custom ROMs like RR hit the goop)

If you're talking about removing the carrier label you can do that from the settings of the phone
Flat style bar indicators will let you change the text, size and shape of literally every element of your status bar.
