[REQUEST FOR DEV] Fast browsing on a i9000 - Galaxy S I9000 Android Development

Hi everyone
I saw how the Xperia 2011 are ultra fast at SunSpider (3141 ms for Xperia Ray at 1 GHz). Our galaxy S(not overclocked) reach 5600-5700 and 4000 at 1.4 ghz. After my first test, it is not possible to use the library on Ray Xperia Galaxy S (I expected, but we can always dream). I therefore appeal to you to change the library of Xperia and port on the Galaxy S (and maybe other phones). I will put online library of galaxy S version JVU and the library of Xperia Ray.
Sorry for my English i'm french...

So what is your request - to "port" this libs over to our phone to (maybe) reach a higher score at browsing?
I don't understand your point (I understand it but what's the effort?)

i am going to buy a mobile phone after 3 days
but i wanna to know which is better Galaxy W or Galaxy SL (( acc. to the performance not the specfication ))
and which is better display sl with slcd or W with higher gpc adreno 205 ???
If you dig the larger 4" screen, go for the SL. Otherwise, it's SGW all the way.

No there isn't. One reason we buy XS is to avoid that CrapWiz. And use commas and full stops, please.
:crying: why everybody hates TouchWiz Nature UX it really have a nice design and its better than the the xperia s UI

That cartoonish UI? Ugly as hell? How they can hate the modern, darker Sony UI?

It`s about you and you`re budget ... if you are "techie" go for the high-end or high performance smartphone if you want great camera and screen go for XS
BTW am 99% buying the xperia sl and 1% buying the galaxy s3 mini. That means am buying the xperia sl so how is the phone for gaming because i like gaming on the android phones so does it lag on the huge games like N.O.V.A 3 and Asphalt 7 my brother have xperia neo and he downloaded Seclauncher2.apk if you know it and he downloaded SGS3 apps like Contacts.apk,Music.apk,Messages.apk,etc so is there any sgs3 apps ported to xperia s:laugh:
if you still want touchwiz on any rooted device, there are flashable or adb pushable launchers extracted from samsung dumps !
for more info just google !

ROM Porting Rules for Xperia Play

hi.. I want to start porting some ROMS for our Xperia PLay
can anyone please let me know what rules do I need to follow..
I mean.. can we only port from armv6 to armv6 or armv7 also ??
can we port HTC One 4.1.2 to Xperia Play ?? Can we take the AOKP or CM10 as our base ROM .. and all other info that you may help me with.. thanks alot
Well we have a Qualcomm snapdragon s2 processor I believe its a msm8255 and adreno 205, so with that in mind the best bet on porting would be from devices with these specs and also same screen resolution.....and well if you wanna go from scratch and build a ROM then yea any ROM that is open source you can build from ( I.e. cyanogen mod, aokp, slim bean etc) I also believe our CPU architecture is armv7 and I do not believe that it is backwards compatible to armv6 and the HTC one has a Qualcomm snapdragon 600 processor with adreno 320 GPU so unless you plan to do ALOT of moding to a ROM from it I doubt your going to get it to boot

we need to find devices that have the same cpu at least for porting a rom
and gou is very important too
is there any samsung device taht has near specs to our device?
i wana port a rom from it
and its possible to port armv6 roms to armv7.
Maby try the sgs s1

galaxy s+ has the nearest specs
Xperia Play have Snapdragon S2 SOC. You can check on wikipedia wich devices have similar hardware (look under MSM8255).
I don't know if galaxy s will work because its REALLY IMPORTANT screen resolution is the same of that the device your porting from has a bigger screen resolution.

Moto Z Play (FAKE, Alps Z Play)

sup guys I have a problem, recently I bought a moto z play (at least I was thinking it was) but to my unhappiness it was fake i bought a Alps Z Play, so i have a question, can i put a original rom in this phone or a custom moto z play rom? :crying:
obs: built-in version: alps.l1.mp6.v2_magc6580.we.l_p45 and version number: LMY47I
I don't think so - the Alps Z Play has a different CPU (Mediatek MT 6580, 4 cores at 1.3 GHz) as opposed to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (8 cores at 2 GHz) and only 1 GB of RAM in the clone, from what I can see of the benchmarks: https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/compare/8178138?baseline=7380482 ). Motorola stock firmware won't flash onto a Mediatek CPU/bootloader and you may end up bricking the device. The Alps Z Play appears to be running Android 5.1/6.0 as well from the benchmarks.
I would recommend returning the device if you can - for a refund - and buying a genuine Z Play. I do not know if other Mediatek ROMs will work on that device, though I imagine it'll be quite slow.
ok thx
