In search of a good ROM based on the new ota

I'm new to this epic 4g looking for a good stable rom based on the new ota would love some Suggestion ,any one have any ideas?

El30 is old news now. Just grab the modem and flash cm9.

All ROMs are in Development. The title tells you what firmware they are. All of Epic ROMs are great. Pick one.

His phone will keep telling him to update until he actually runs the update, or at least tries to (it obviously wont work if you are running a custom ROM). Just because his phone is telling him to update, doesn't necessarily mean it's better. I'm going to go ahead and agree with everyone else on here and say CM9 is amazing. The only reason I haven't gotten the EL30 modem and flashed CM9 (I have tried it and its awesome) is because i use the hotspot hack on my other ROM and 4g wifi tethering doesn't work on CM9 yet. Most people don't care about that issue so I'd definitely say forget looking for a EL30 ROM and go straight for CM9.

There are not many roms based on el30 yet, and to be honest, its not that great of an update. Cm9 is now available, but still had some bugs to get worked out. For now I would strongly advise starskyrom mtd v2.0, or marcusant v3. Its all about personal taste, and roms perform differently for every device.

Font or be fonted

So I'm running the peoples rom on my new epic (and it's amazing) but I was wanting to install a font from rom toolbox and was wondering if that would hurt anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't work on cm9 but any other rom will work just fine. You could just use font installer .

Modem (baseband) seems to be personal choice these days. As a habit I always go with the latest official but it is what works best for you.

I always use the latest official so am currently on FC09 but have seen no change from when I was on the EL30. Either one can be odin'd in or put in through a series of flashables.

[Q] Best gingerbread rom?

i was just looking for a good stable gingerbread rom but blazer 4.1 is not an option because there is no download link.

Go with either RUJELUS22_Blu_Kuban_EL29_V1.2.0_ODEXED or Calkulin_s_E4GT_ROM_v3.0. Both very good roms. Im using calks right now. Very good battery and super fast ui

I'd go under the devs profile on here and look to see if he has a webpage. Or even look up the wiki page for our phone and go under roms. It may be listed there with another DL link. I'll look around and see if I can find a link for you

I have been running Calkulin's GB ROMs for over 6 months now. I highly recommend it!

CyanogenMod 7 is my fav GB rom. Lots of cool features plus great battery life

Yea forget blazers. Just got my first brick trying to flash that ROM. I've been flashing for awhile now. Decided to try the smoothie after hearing all the hype. Just got my phone back up and running. Im sticking with calkulins. It's to bad he left behind his efgt work for HTC.

Flashing instructions:
Even though rom comes with a full wipe script i still full wipe before install, (wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, calks format all)

is this rom odexed or deodexed? Just need to know so i can pull the correct cam apk. A silent one. So far im on this rom and its smooth. Liking it alot. Just need that silent cam. No focus sound

By the way guys, kobridge is back and he's posted fh23 tweaks, i extracted them from his zip and placed the init.d folder ones in and it seems even faster!!!!!
