Installation
0- this ROM will WIPE your Tab,...Backup is essential..
1- for bootloader locked Roms ---> should be unlocked with:-

2- Download MoDaCo Kernel Ext4 [Thanks to Paulobrien]

3- load the kernel as PDA with Odin 1.7 [Do NOT Select Repartition]
4- Restart Tab in Download Mod [Sound Rocker Volume Down + Power Button]
5- Connect, Flash kernel, the Tab will restart
6- Restart Tab in Recovery Mod [Sound Rocker Volume Up + Power Button]
7- Kernal will start to convert the RFS to Eext4 then restart...
8- Copy P1000JPJM4-Ext4-by-Galaxyer.zip to The External SDcard
9- Restart Tab in Recovery Mod [Sound Rocker Volume Up + Power Button]
10-Choose Set Factory Reset
11- Choose install zip from sdcard
12- Choose zip from sdcard
13- Choose the ROM FILE and wait for the installation..
14- Restart
15- Done

sorry, but its due to RFS/Ext4 conversion Kernel requirements

There is no way to do it with internal memory or without backup?

Finally a good rom I've tried just about everything out there since coming from Rotohammer and this rom installed and ran excellent not a problem so far!!!! Thanks for getting this together. Gonna walk up to the market with the tab and keep testing there's just one thing I'm gonna change and that's the launcher Launcher Pro is excellent but I got used to ADW...Thanks Again

backup data now. Can i put this on tmobile version. And also whats the advantage for ext4 file system

Pauls kernel failed to boot fully, so copied zip to sd and all is ok.
Side note; if i wanted lots of junk apps, i would of dl'ed them myself. Try restraining yourself next time.

sigh.... i thought everything works good with this rom until few minutea ago....
But calendar fc.... whenever i open it..

Neither my internal of external memory is mounted within the OS... it shows up in CWM but Android won't mount them.

It's possible add italian language please ?

Snappy rom Im getting quadrant scores around 1700-1800. But please don't include all these random apps, I mean having a compass that points to mecca is cool but I can find that on the market if I wanted.

compass to mecaa is defulton p1000jp... it deponds on csc that you choose in jp all countries csc included compass.

don't use this rom. use arc xp rom. this rom is better and camera is better then this rom.

Thanks, no prob. Do you recall where you got it? I've been googling around for the RAZR lock screen by itself but I can't find it.
EDIT: never mind, I get it. I'd misread you before.

i am a little lost with pecan 350, because this device dosnt have a dedicated forum... so my girlfriend have this phone and i want to updated from stock rom to best performance and less bugged CM 2.3 ROM, any advice? thanks!

How to install :

Reboot after the flashing completes. 1st reboot may take 3-4 minutes. After 1st reboot and setting account, boot again to make everything work.
Bugs:
Video recording doesn't work (install app from store like Camera ICS to record video).
If doesn't connect to computer:
Go to recovery,
mounts and storage menu,
mount USB storage,
reboot.

SGYPRO - B5510 New Custom Rom

i found this rom from CM Forum and share in there i hope you like it
Made a great rom for the GT-B5510:
It is a modified stock rom with these features:
-Rom is debloated, without anyting broken and is still very Samsung.
-All software in the ROM is up-to-date
-Yahoo crap and thinkfree office removed(I needed tha space in rom, and a much better Kingsoft office is 100% free on market)
-Rom has a CUSTOM KERNEL supporting o.a. Ext2, Ext3, Ext4, SWAP Support, IPTables support (For droidwall of avast), inti.d support, wifi sleep bug fixed.
-Rooted (includes latest version of SU)
-Inlcudes Root explorer with support for symbolic-links
-Adfree updated version of Blackmart in ROM
-Included a version of ClockWorkMod recovery that works perfectly on GT-B5510 can be used to make backups. Installing the rom is a easy as restoring the backup I made of my rom(user data wiped) same as flashing with odin only a lot easier and can be done from SD card!
I also have the stock CELG1 rom that can be flashed with ODIN 1.85 and a tool called Odinatrix that can split any file from Samfirmware in 3 files Odin can use.
Before you would install this rom you need to make 3 partitions on a CLASS 10 A brand Sandisk, Samsung or SONY, micro SD card.
Else swapping would destroy your SD card real soon!
Use ubuntu to make these:
1st partition FAT32 (total sdcard size minus 5 GB)
2nd partition Ext3 (4GB)
3rd partition LinuxSwap (1GB and do not give a name, make empty)
Swap is default enabled, you don't have to do anyting if you make the partitions and install my ROM, swap will be enabled. You can chek by running terminal emulator and type "free"
This rom is extremely fast, you won't believe the revamp. Your phone will be a Linux PC!
When you have it working:
Then go to market and install:
-LinkToSD from my friend Bullent, this allows you to install many apps.
-Storage analyzer (So you know what takes space in the /data/data folder)
-Next Launcher
After this, you will forget Cyanogen soon since now you can customize and your launcher is fully 3D

Forget Cyanbogen, it is a deodexed rom that means, all dalvik-cache will be on internal storage, with only 180MB of that, it's not fun!
My rom is maximum odexed (not more room in rom for more odex) this way as much as possible from that 180MB of storage stays free.

Hey there this rom looks nice and all but has anyone tested this yet? id like to try it out but the instructions dont seem very clear to me, can anyone provide me some detailed instructions on how to flash it?

I took the ported rom from 4pda forum and changed few things & deleted some apps + translated MIUI V5 iOS theme to english (created new buttons in Photoshop).
Works on Pre ThL.W100.130701 devices - not tested on the new REV.

Install ROM:
CWM
Step 1: Download the custom ROM copied to an external SD card root directory
Step 2: the shutdown state. While holding down:
– Power button + volume button up, to enter the recovery mode.
– Wipe Data / Factory Reset -> delete all user data
– Wipe Cache Partition -> Wipe cache
– Advanced -> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Step 3: Return to recovery main interface Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard -> Select your ROM
Step 4: Brush complete, restart the phone Patience required – first boot takes a while
After the install - open "Themes" and under "LOCAL" tab press MENU ->Import From Sdcard -> choose iOS6_V5_EN.mtz.
click "Apply" and reboot. It may ask to register to MIUI- its OK and recommended!
After the reboot - to get rid of the FC message after reboot: Go to Developers Options -> and Disable "Show FCs"

MiUI for me at least is a better overall user experience, I shall try in the next few days and get back to you with feedback - the only concern would be the camera working as I am on the newer hardware. Hope the rom author updates with the latest ThL firmware 130711.

This theme is awesome, excatly what I was looking for. But I installed the theme only since I already have MIUI v5 on my sg3 and it worked except for the dialer is a little squished, looks like the dial keys just sort of slid down a bit but the numbers stayed in place. Is there a way to fix this, or do I need to install the rom too?

Only 1 Bug for now- when clicking "Search" in playstore you get FC- the bromlem is in the base A830 rom. but the market is working- only you can't use search . I just use web to search apps and click "Install" and the the playstore start to Download .

I couldn't select first sim to use only gsm+sms and second to use only internet
(okay i did it but it was only on EDGE, on stock firmware i have to select first sim to voice call+messagin, second to video call + data connection then it works as HSDPa+ ;s)
