I tried using this thread to try to change the status bar color to go with the epic blurness theme. But my computer won't decompile the systemui apk without errors so it won't compile correctly. any help please on if this method would work?

ok...what rom are you using first of all? are you on mtd or bml or ext4
Figured it out..im on mtd clean gb el30 and finally did it. Forgot one step in the thread

well....i forgot what the exact name of the go launcher theme was...so ill look that up,
and i installed an ics theme for the calkulins (which is what im using right now)

You can try Alliance mod. It is reported to work on LSN (make a Nandroid backup though). In this Mod you can customize the color of the toggles (and a lot more things).
But you will have to forget the mod you are using now.

I couldn't have done this without decompiling the apk.
I think the blue background is in drawable folder.

You must locate in framework-res proper png and change it's opacity (maybe make it png.9?). May i ask you on which version of Android is ROM based?
