Hi All
I found out that it is easy to replace the Wifi driver of any firmware
Wifi drivers & Sound control are located at FFS file
\SystemFS\Driver\
Wifi uses simple Wlan_bcm4329_***.bin files
So a simple replacement of these files will lead to a change in the driver (Can be done with PFS file)
I tried this with Wifi driver from XXJL2 on XXLB2
I am satisfied with Wifi performance now but i like this game
I am looking for a firmware with the best Wifi driver
Any suggestions will be really appreciated

I don't remember all the drivers, but never had problem with wifi.

So we a can add the drivers from 1.2? I always felt that wifi was more stable under 1.2 than 2.0...

Maybe in drivers we can unlock wifidirect options ?
Or is it blocked in firmaware ?
this method can lead to small patches for firmwares. i like that
we can use this to create customized firmwares for everyone by using pfs updates.
for example: i hate it that they removed the front cam option in the new betas and it would be great if you could upload the latest cam driver with front cam option as pfs file

pawlakpl: don't think that will work... but cost nothing to test... maybe with S8600 wifi drivers.

OK, I uploaded the file, wifi works as before I'll test if I can feel the difference... Is there a method to check the version of the driver?
Yes i found the version stated in Wlan_bcm4329_rte.bin & Wlan_bcm4329_rte-wapi.bin files
You can check it by opening the file with Hex editior

For testing, I took all Wlan_bcm4329*.bin files from S8600 XXKI9 firmware.
It's still works on wifi, no difference.
But strange thing, it change something on volume.
I can't explain it because my poor english... but it seems there is also for audio in this files
Edit: my falt, I used all the driver repertory lol
Is it possible that you took WM8994_EQ_Data_Load.txt in your PFS by mistake ?!!!
Because this file is for sound driver
If you didn't then I've no idea WTH is going inside these files

i tested your wifi.pfs file but i still have weak wifi signal even in front of my router. where i can find .pfs files of different firmwares?

This is the best Wifi driver built for S8500/S8530
I guess that getting source code for the driver appears to be easy as it is used in Galaxy S so it should be open source
But not idea how it compiled for bada

How can i extract the wifi.pfs from the fw i have?
you can get wifi drivers found in your firmware files by extracting FFS file from your firmware and going to path
/SystemFS/Drivers
you can compare files after extracting my file
all extraction process is done with Wave Remaker

We cant, you can see there's 16 peer source on DHT but its on protected server like's needs something keys or intranet.

sTune doesn't recognize my phone (s8500, bada 2.0, S8500XXKL6) and I have no idea what to do.
I'm sure all the drivers are installed but still it doesn't find my device no matter what I do.

I mean you have sTune expereince?
I am pretty sure that both Versions connects to all bada 2.0 Firmware...
So you can see attached device, IMEI etc. with sTune...
But for fully working you need 1.06 to access folders in every known bada 2.0 Firmware...
You can also try TkFileExplorer_2.4.exe
But if Kies work... then sTune should be also run.
Btw. I have only XP 32 and you?

Looks like SHP is not working anymore. I was on xxkk5 firmware. today i got a popup msg SHP is expired.do you want to renew the service? i pressed yes and it tries to open a webpage and display 404 not found error. After that i became unable to send or recieve emails. it says email ceritificate expired. I thought may be url have been changed so i flashed with latest xxla1 fw by nexus. But problem persist. Its sad if it cant be resolved. Do anyone else have this prob?

Same problem. I can't even receive mails on manual sync now!
same here....is samsung cracking the whip???
My social hub premium is still working. Emails, SNS, Messengers are all working (updates are automatically recieved, chats messages sent and received, ...). No changes or stoppage noticed so far.
EDIT:
Today, I am beginning to observe same problem of "...EXpired Certificate... Renew License...Error 404: Page Not found, etc"
It appears now that it's a general problem. Samsung is possibly stopping the service country by country.
I did a full flash right now and it is working fine for me... maybe there is a problem with the firmware version that you are using, currently i am at KL6.

Okay guys socialhub premium still works its just that samsung has changed tge activation server address thats it. You can use our custom rom elite v2.0 in which we have fixed this problem

What's the difference? It's the same URL we used for a long time.
if the url is same then looks like we are in problem. many people says that their shp is working and some people like me are lost. May be samsung is blocking one by one using people IMEI (just my guess though). I have tried older fw again but no luck.
Please check Firmware Version.
It seems some newer Certs are used...
Maybe few Certs are ends in 2012...

Maybe only 1 cert is to installed and then every Firmware work again...
Check folder Security\CM\Cert
...
But I NOT use SHP. So I can't support search...

Make your hidden folders visible, with QuB for instance and check on handset.

Yeah you used but now to solve this problem you need to use the new server url. There is a difference. With the old one you will not avle to activate socialhub.

Need next to compare. Mine works perfectly.
If yours is not working anymore do next:
1) With Stune, copy this folder: OSP-->Applications-->2482tqy39g-->Data
2) Copy next folder as well: OSP-->Applications-->2482tqy39g-->DataBackup
3) Compress y upload the resulting .zip or .rar
I'll compare with mine.

your phone is different. different hardware, etc, sensors and more, so most roms will not work, or it will boot and most things don't work.

iam already tried , S5660 firmware, but there is no WIFI and BT drivers and also sensors drivers is differnet, nothing more
there is two ways( i mean)
1.give into korean firmware all languages, and all will work...
2.give into EUROPE firmware drivers for WIFI ( i know there is bcm4329 chip) , BT and also for sensors( sensors is not very important, because you can use mobile without rotation and works good)

try stock rom for S5660
but dont use S5660 kernel. use SHW-M290 kernel.
then, look at
- /system/etc and /system/wifi on both rom. u'll know the different. and replace it
- replace sensor module from SHW-M290 rom. usually can found on /system/lib/hw
- if bluetooth still not working, try to replace /sytem/bin/hciattch and module for bluetooth. (on S5660: BCM2049C0_003.001.031.0088.0094.hcd) usually can found on /system/bin or /system/etc/firmware

system.rfs there is all important things

also in s5660 rom in one file more CSC.rfs ( country soruce code)
i already tried make together some roms from these both but sometimes starts , sometimes not starts good
so this is reason why i ask somebody who can help me with this
from my meaning is good to replace just drivers in stock SHW-M290 rom
, because for example , all stock and custom roms working good on SHW-m290 exept wifi,BT and sensors

afaik, language files is stored on application.
/system/etc can be found on system.rfs
you can mount it with loop option with linux
yes already checked, but there is no any like this file

now iam on GIO pro 1,6 rom already replace some files,( system.rfs)
sensors, working good, all rom is like charm, just wifi and BT still cannot work
on s5660 rom is folder wifi on root of system.rfs, but on shw-m290s rom is no like this folder, just inside etc, but already replace all etc folder, also BT module and still error mesage on wifi turns on ...

Have you root your korean gio? Install adb and pull system.rfs and boot.img from phone, modify it and sign and zip it, and try to install.. Make sure to have a backup and odin rom

Search xda or google on installing ADB.
If succesfully installed, you can open a command prompt
Start- execute - cmd.exe - type ADB - adb.exe starts -type adb devices for conection - then you need the commands, will give them when you come to this, just reply

Use the image-file from yandex.
