[Q] DoggCatcher not showing all my media players. Why? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey guys,
For some reason, when I try to play a podcast in DoggCatcher (generally mp3's) when I select "play in external player", some of my media playing apps never show up.
In the screenshots I've got showing Doggcatcher, ES File Manager and FX file manager, DoggCatcher never shows PowerAmp, or ES Media Player as optional media players. It never has. I've tried the basics of uninstalling the apps involved and still nothing. Other than this, I love the app.
Anyone got any ideas?

No Music Found

Whenever i try to open the Music App i get the message "No music found" and can't do anything else other than press back to get out of the app.
There is definitely music on the sd card as I can open the files (seemingly in the music app) from es file explorer.
I have a feeling this has been caused by deleting a folder that had some demo tunes in it, but i haven't a clue what the folder was called or contained.
Help! TIA
the music app is quote peculiar about finding music. put your music into a folder called mp3 , than restart your phone , the music app should scan then the mp3 folder and find the music

[Q] Can't delete playlist

Anyone know where the HTC music player stores it's playlists? Mine need nuking...
I'm having a problem with the HTC music player - I can't delete a particular playlist.
The app says that it has deleted it when I try, but it remains. Also when I click on the playlist or try and add a song to it the app force closes.
I've tried clearing the data in settings->applications->manage applications for "music" and "media storage" and rebooting, but the playlist remains.
I think I may have created the playlist and deleted the song it pointed to. Is there any other way to remove it now apart from a factory reset?
Resolved:
It wasn't a real playlist. I found a folder structure like:
\sdcard\Podcasts\anotherfolder\anmp3file.mp3
\sdcard\Podcasts\asecondfolder\anothermp3file.mp3
The HTC player thinks this is a playlist and obviously can't delete it, as it's a folder. Would be nice it it told you this instead of crashing.

Music transfered by ssh not showing up in Play Music

I have tried to transfer music to my phone via ssh / sshfs I copy the music to /data/media/Music and everything is there Mort Music can play it but it does not show up in the play music player no matter if I use sdrescan or turn my phone off and on. This is also the case for ringtones either in /data/media/Ringtones|Notifications or /data/media/media/audio/Ringtones|Notifications. However when I use airdroid the music show up fine.
I am thinking airdroid is loading the metadata in to something so Play Music know about the music similar to what I believe mtp does if you transfer via a cable (which currently sucks on linux)

Google Reader / Streaming Media Player problem

I have a problem with Google Reader on an unrooted stock HOX - when I select any podcast (mp3) in the reader, I get a blank screen flash quickly on the screen then it goes back to the reader page and I don't have the podcast playing. I'm guessing it's somehow failing with "Streaming Media Player" as it then gets added to my recent apps list.
I've tried other podcasts and have uninstalled/reinstalled reader and tried clearing the data/cache from GReader and and from Streaming Media Player. I would have thought this would clear the default program Reader uses, forcing it to ask me which player I want to use when selecting an mp3 in Reader? Anyone know how I can force this? Edit - I notice Reader and SMP both have no defaults set, so clear defaults is greyed out.
Otherwise, anyone know another program that uses Streaming Media Player I can use as a test? Thanks.

N-7100 not detecting any media. Any help appreciated.

Hi,
I have searched around a lot and tried all the recommendations I've found, to no avail. My new N-7100 is working fine, except for one thing:
I have a 64GB MicroSDHC that is full of MP3s, as well as some JPGs and videos on the built-in storage. All of this media is showing up fine in 3rd-party media apps (Poweramp, QuickPic and MX Player Pro, respectively), but none of it shows up in the built-in gallery, video player, or music player. However, new photos taken with the camera show up instantly in the built-in gallery.
I have, amongst other things, tried resetting "Media Storage", Gallery app, forced a media sync using a store app... All to no avail.
Any help greatly appreciated.
