I'm about to order one but wanted to know which looks best for the white galaxy nexus.. the clear looks like it would wash out the android since the nexus is white but the smoke gray seems like it would wash out the phones white back !!?

I hope you got a white one. I received mine on Thursday (one day after I ordered it via Amazon Prime) and the fit on my black VZW GNex was way better than the black version I had order a while ago.
in for pics too...I too have a white gnex so i'd like to see how it would look like first.
the clear (to me) definitely looks better than all the others on the WHITE GNex.. Clear, Green, Smoked is the order i would rate them (only 3 colors i have) will post pictures when i find a camera lol

Any white gn owners want to chime in on how the white version is? I wish the whole front was white. Not sure why they only made half white? Any major issues I might want to know about before pulling the trigger on it? For example does it get dirtier easier or scratch easier, etc? Any insight would be appreciated.

They made the front black because it actually looks good with the dark UI and black top/bottom bars. it would look pretty awful if the bars were black and the framing/bezel was white.
I bought the white gn the last time daily steals had it... about a month ago. I completely agree about the front. I also have a white T989 that is all white (front & back) & I like that a lot, but I haven't touched it since I got my gn. I got a yakju build. No bugs, issues, scratches or anything else ::knocks on wood::... absolutely loving this phone...

That's a software thing. They could of made it white while sacrificing battery life it would be cool

Basically. I like the look of it, compared to the titanium silver one.
It's one of the few phones where white looks a bit awkward.
Just look at the ceramic white i9100. White front/bezel = beautiful and thats how it should've been done.
But luckily, apparently some company is selling screen protectors with white top and bottom and bezel so that would make the phone much better looking.
At least its cheap to convert our titanium to white.
I wish someone made a straight up all black housing.....WOULD BE SEX!!! pure black Galaxy Nexus would look awesome with the already black screen and no buttons. Would be the purest thing ever hahaha

You mean completely re-skin the UI to be white on the white nexus? What?
if you're going to use a case, don't see a point getting the white since the case will cover it up
I always felt white phone where tacky. I don't have a white one but I assume the hyper skin would catch dirt

I believe the Matte/Satin finish should match the back pretty well.
I've had both. White one is nice. Battery cover feels cheap because its all plastic and not rubbery like the titanium one. But it looks nicer overall in my opinion. And it doesn't get dirty. Not yet at least, have had it for a month. And it looks nicer with the black glass instead of white. The contrasted look is real nice.

My white i9100 didn't get dirty. It will stay white, dw.
But for the GN, it looks weird. The contrast doesn't look good IMO. It would definitely look better if the front was white also.
But at least it makes it easier for us with titanium to change to white. Really simple and cheap to just swap housing. Then buy a screen protector with the white decals

But there's a screen protector where it's already colored in. So it's one piece, I forgot who sells it....saw it on another thread somewhere

Well first of all, iPhone is made from only glass and an aluminum bumper/trim so it's definitely going to feel more high end and nicer.
If you wanted just build quality feel....should've went with something else like HTC as Samsung uses plastic. Though it doesn't creak and feels very solid. My titanium color feels very nice with the textured back cover hyperskin. Super solid and the back won't crack if it falls =P
It definitely doesn't feel cheap though. It's light and feels nice and solid. Cheap toy is something that feels flimsy and the parts are squeeking and crap.

Definitely go with that charcoal black or grey.

I got the same case in grey and it is very nice, just make sure you dont get a 'copy' as theres quite a few on ebay (it should say 'ROCK' on the back).
Even though this case might not be as protective as some TPU cases, I find the texture to provide superior grip and in- hand feel.
I've had the dark and light gray cases (authentic) for about two weeks now and they hold up well with no signs of wear.
I think I'd go so far as to say that the Rock Quicksand is THE best case I've ever had for ANY phone. And like most of you XDA folks, that's a lot of phones and cases!

Go with the Black one....which is actually a DARK GREY. Not sure why Rock even calls it Black....maybe they're color blind?I'm sure whoever created the color codes in China just called the Dark Grey Black....and the Light Grey....Grey. They should actually be Dark Grey.....Light Grey.:victory:
I bought the Generic Grey initially and thought it looked MUCH too light on my Blue GS3....kinda reminded me of the underbelly of a Stingray or even a Great White Shark....but now it's grown on me.
Just for reference the Generic Quicksand case available on Amazon has a more rubberized texture....and it's actually quite nice.
I have a few more weeks to send it back I think I'll keep it....unlike the Rearth Ringke which just doesn't do it for me even though many of the feature are ever so slightly better than the Rock.
I plan on doing a side by side comparison of all three cases right after Christmas and maybe have a few more cases to compare against each other.
Just ordered my (white 16GB) Note 10.1 yesterday! It is the refurb bundle deal from Best Buy. Can't wait til it gets here next week!

Just joking If I were you and had to buy UAG for my red htc1, definitely black. Red-Black combo looks great.
But i bought two cases and now regret it. The cases are great - I have incipio frequency black which would IMHO look also great on red one and belkin grip sheer matte black.
But it's such a shame to cover such beautiful phone.
When I bought mine, the red wasn't an option, so I went with the silver/white. If I were to buy a new one today, I would go wth the red.
You can mix it with some cool cases if wanted, and even some cool themes/ROMS (like Viper ONE) if you plan on rooting it.
Hmmm imho orange doesn't look too great with red, but white does.

also, dont worry about "covering the phone up" and not seeing its sexyness. It feels great having that case on it and knowing that it will not break or scrape easily. it is very conforting

As someone who has both go with the black. I'm thinking about getting some Fusion for Plastic Paint (Gloss Sun Dried Tomato) and painting the white one RED to match as I don't think UAG is going to make a RED variant.
In Canada, the only two color options available were morning mist or pine green, no black.
I ordered the morning mist.
Also only seeing morning mist or pine green 12/256 here in usa...

Apparently the morning mist is a fingerprint magnet. Personally, it's preferable to green.

Wanted the black version myself but unavailable in my location, double checked DBrand skins before ordering the morning mist color. Phone, skin, wireless charger all ordered, already have a couple cases but got the sandstone version as well.
Pine green ordered.
I ordered Pine Green. I like the look of the morning mist and the mirror like finish but the Green looks pretty awesome!
Here is a video showing hands on black version I personaly got. I was hoping for a pine green but they don't come in 128 GB which is sufficient for me. I also got it for 839 EUR (=990 USD) which is nice considering official pricing starts at 969 EUR in my country.
I don't live in China, but I ordered the black one from a store in China.
Black with 12/256, will be shipped on 31st this month.
Pine Green. I think black is boring, and silver mirror attracts fingerprints too much. I like that the Pine Green is more matte. I hate covering up a really nice colored phone with a case though because I don't get to show off the great color, but I know better than to go without a case.
Morning Mist. Tired of Black and green is not my thing. I so wish they had a red one!!!!

No morning mist is supposed attract fingerprints. It's a high gloss back. That's why I thought the green matte was better.

Probably is but since the phone ends up in a case most of the time, it won't be an issue fo rme.

LOL, I usually buy multiple cases and rotate based on how I feel that day. Tudia case is usually my go to, but I'm rather partial of the Otterbox Symmetry on my S21U. Couple of Caseology ones I like too. Had like 20 different cases for the 8 Pro, only 15 for the S21U.
