Why there is still no one post the Crossbow ROM for Universal?

Someone has got the Crossbow ROM for Universal for a few months.They posted screen capture but didn't post the ROM itself.Why?Are there still many bugs in the ROM?
Any one can post the ROM?I can't want updating to the new ROM.

This isn't a Crossbow ROM, it's still WM5.
Crossbow is WM6

Yes, thats is just a AKU 2.3 rom for Universal with some Vista icons throwed in
I m currently using that ROM too and is simply the best I have used so far

Hello Kamaldeep. Can you share your experience of indra rom. do you find it better than Jwright and is it very fast without memory leakage.

Windows Mobile CE 6.0 is available for purchase / trial for 180 days. It comes with the source code and Visual Studio 2005 plugin.
So if there are any developers out there wishing to make modules and ROM's for any mobile device this is your chance. I personally am encoding and programming a Windows Crossbow ROM.
I think many programmers have already made Windows CE 6.0 ROM's out there and testing them before releasing it to public.
If there are any microsoft members around from TechNet or MSDN they would have good answers.
So i urge members to download the Windows CE 6.0 180 trial pack and play around till you are successful in building a new OS ROM for the Universal.
Actually this post is not only for the universal but all mobile devices.
Remember: (To run Crossbow / CE 6.0 it is important to have a Bulverade processor or higher) and the RAM of the Universal.
Hint: HP iPAQ 6315 etc,,, already have a Windows Crossbow ROM

I have a small question. So far I have focused in the ROM and WM 6.1 Pro, but now I switched to ROM WM 6.5 Pro and I am very satisfied so far, but I need to verify if I can install applications for WM 6.1 Pro? Before I install anything, just checking.
Info phone is the following:
ROM: 2.03.401.3 WWE from 4.4.2009
Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional

Yes you can, I tried many 6.1 ver. softwares on my 6.5 wmobile.So go without fear....

Liam i dont think u have moved it mate and jackal some will some wont, its trial and error you will just have to find out for youself

Asus A696 Upgrade to 6.1 or 6.5

Hey,
I tried to upgrade my Asus A696 to a new version but no luck (i'm not that good at this kind of stuff), so my question is if there's a way to upgrade it at least to WM 6.1, or 6.5 using a different ROM version or something like that.
I would appreciate if the following answers would be from people who tried this before.
PS: If there are links (here) where i can find steps to upgrade, i would be grateful if you point them out.

It will be soon, I have working version wm6.1 PLK (21109), but it's just my second build. I don't have this device, so I can't do it quickly.

WM6.5 on a non-phone device, that's a big mistake.

It's not a mistake. For example WM6.5 on HP iPAQ hx2000 series runs much faster then WM6.1
I would suggest You to go for WM6.5

that's my opinion, I don't like chome, honeycomb, new big menus, manila and other kind of sh%t.
But if you like it, you can use it. I don't prohibit it

any news about it? I would like to install 6.1 or 6.5 also on my a696

Was amazed to find a ASUS P527 6.5 upgrade on here the other day, being able to upgrade the A696 would be awesome as well .

Thanks for your reply, I downloaded and took a look - but I've never done anything like this before, I don't know where to begin. The fact that anything I make with this would be Polish (?) - I'm out of my league. Maybe I'll see if I can figure out the P527 where they do have a World Wide English version already and see what can be done with that.
The P527 has a bunch of ways to upgrade through USB and microSD even if the main process fails - I have no idea if there is such a method for the A696 though. If a flash fails, that could be it... and that's a little bit daunting for a first timer...

you can make image backup first.
pdocread –v 0x0 0x3600000 nk.nb0
upgrade is simply, by usbloader.
1. Disable usb connections in async
2. plug usb cable to pda
3. reset pda with center dpad button pressed.
4. USB Download mode screen will appear
5. Click "Upload ROM!" in kitchen.

can anybody please create and upload the wwe version? It's just that I don't understand Polish so the PLK is completely useless to me (and I guess others)

I too would like a WWE version of a 6.1 or 6.5 ROM for the Asus 6x6 series devices... I would be willing to do some testing as well. I would also be willing to make a donation to whomever gets a 6.5 ROM working.

Windows Mobile is an operating system cooked in a ROM. In this Diamond forum you'll find WinMo 6.1 and WinMo 6.5 ROM's. You can install, delete or update all kinds of applications on your device. But there is no WinMo 6.5 'application' and you can't install it on a WinMo 6.1 ROM. It doesn't work like that. Either you flash an existing WinMo 6.5 ROM or you learn how to cook and flash your own.

ASUS P527

Hi All,
Need a clean ASUS P527 Windows 6.5 ROM, the ones present have seriously screwed up my mobile, now back on Windows 6.0, but even on restarting the phone it directly goes to the ASUS Launcher, so if someone could post a link to a clean ROM would be appreciated

Tommy, did you get 6.5 or 6.5.1 ROM for your P527? I am still running 6.1 and have been looking for an 'actual' 6.5/6.5.1 ROM for mine.
