Does anyone know if it possible to disable the audio controls on the pattern lock screen?
I've had a good look around and I can't find anything about this.
Having the "Owner information" is all well and good, but if I loose my phone when the audio controls are showing then that information isn't shown.
Thanks in advanced to anyone who know how to disable this handy feature.

I hope people like the small soft key idea just hoping for more use of it. so the question is what controls the function and how does this affect application resolution? I would like it on home screen. If anyone can figure this out, I would buy him a beer.
I would like to get this question out there, how about a sticky?
The keys often hide inside an app to give full resolution to the app.
I don't know what you mean by controls the function

I think he means that he wants some sort of ROM or widget or gesture that will toggle the softkeys or soft menu buttons similarly to how the Gnex hides this menu when playing video automatically (stock ICS video player)
I think it would be cool if you could turn this on and off with some sort of gesture. I think it would be cool for apps which are not ICS aware. Like Flash Video player does not go true full screen and the stock browser even with the full screen labs option does not go true full screen.
A gesture or toggle with be a cool power user option.
Yes a toggle I did some reading in sdk help. Look like there is code for it
I hope the right person sees this and can figure it out more screen is always better
I'm aware that in the swipe lockscreen if you pull down the notification bar, you'll get music controls. But, why does TouchWiz make you go the extra route when every other ROM simple puts it right there when you wake the screen up?
Is there anyway that we can start incorporating this feature in the future on the swipe lockscreen?
The pattern unlock has it on the lock screen.

I know. But, I'm making emphasis on the swipe lockscreen since it has the app shortcuts. I'm just wondering if anybody is interested in adding back a feature that was taken off.
I can only get the Google Music player to display controls over the lock-screen when PIN/Password/Pattern is selected as the Lockscreen.
If I try to have just the 'no security' swipe to unlock, the music controls aren't there.
I've tried all the different lock screen options under swipe, having 'shortcuts' enabled, information ticker, etc, have no effect. Still no Music controls.
Is this a bug, by design, or what? I would love to have the controls on the swipe lockscreen....
If anyone could shed some light on the subject I would greatly appreciate it.
All I've done between these screenshots is change from swipe to pattern lockscreen.

I am trying to disable the softkey nav for the purpose of using pie controls.
I am able to disable the softkey by editing the build.prop, but the problem is pie controls are useless because when I swipe up from the bottom of my screen, the google now "swipe" is shown rather than pie controls.
Does anyone know how to completely disable this action from being registered? I've searched all over for it but couldn't find anything. I'm not interested in disabling google now from being the option when I swipe up, I am interested in completely disabling anything from happening when I swype up.

Hi
I am trying to do the same, but i didn't get any way in forum. I guess that using xposed module is possible to disable... But it is still unestable, and I prefer to wait for good release...
I hope someone else give us a solution...
I do not see the ability to change my sound profile: sound , vibrate, silent -by pulling down on the notification bar shortcuts...
Is that a possibility in Nougat ? If so, how.
I have an old widget called "Silent Mode Widget" that I can place on my home screen, but have somewhat gotten accustomed to just pulling down from the top of the screen to make the change... Thanks in advance for any tips on this one.
Just found this. swipe down to open quick settings shade, pull down again to access more quick settings, and then you'll see "do not disturb", that has the sound silence settings in it. If you hit edit you can move it up to the top row if you want.
I see that, but that is not what I am referring to. - That is for a period of time for "Do Not Disturb" - It is not the volume toggle button where you have three options for "Sound, Vibrate, or Silent" which is what I'm looking for...
I was looking for the same thing and found a free app that adds the toggle - works great:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.quicktiles&rdid=com.cgollner.quicktiles
If you want some more toggle options, there are other apps as well.
Volume Slider LIKE 'Brightness' Slider would be perfect!
I wish there was an app/tweak that would allow one to install a volume slider like the brightness slider in quick settings that did not require all sorts of other development tools and a desk/laptop! That would be perfect. And again, like others are saying it should have come with the OS.
The real question is, how do we edit the more in depth sounds? Like with my s7 edge I could control the volume of system sounds, ringer, media, and notifications. How would we do that on pixel I can't find any setting that lets me do it.

I use Volume Butler from the Playstore it works great! It also separates the ring volume and the notification volume. Very easy setup.
