[Q] MIUI_Au v4 2.2.24 Beta “Calendar Sync is Fixed" - Desire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Miui_Au is fantastic and I have never had a problem installing or running this ROM.
I installed MIUI_Au v4 2.2.24 Beta, as under Applications the second on the list is “Calendar Sync fixed”
The Calendar Sync is very important for me as all my work reminders are stored on my Google Calendar. I see the Calendar Sync is now fixed. How do I activate this on my phone? When I go to Settings/Accounts and Sync, my Google account does not show Calendar Sync.
I expect there is something very obvious I should be doing.
Thanks.

Hi
Bumping this up as I'm sure someone knows the answer
Thanks

Check your settings in Calender as it will show what accounts are syncing to your Calender. There is also another release of miui-au 2.3.2 so maybe just flash the new rom instead.

Facebook calendar sync doesnt work?

Hello,
i am an android noob and this is my first post on the forum.
i have an htc desire which i upgraded to froyo. I see that it can synchronize facebook birthdays with your calendar.
unfortunately, i cannot activate that option. i have facebook for htc sense for contact sync and that works fine. i also have a standalone facebook application (only the HTC sense one is synchnornizing).
If i go to menu/calendars there is no option to add facebook, so i am stuck
can anyone help?
Anyone?
Is it too easy?
What software version are you running? This is currently only available for 2.2 (Froyo).
I am running Froyo.
Anyone please?
Missing some important birthdays already

New HTC Sync available

If you don't feel like removing battery to find the download with your S/N. The system gave me the following URL:
http://94.136.51.200/download/Driver//HTC Wildfire/setup_3.0.5422.exe
I know it says wildfire, but it's for desire aswell.
TY found out myself, but the server have been given me a not working link.
Btw. you can see the serial number in the settings menu.
New 3.0.5422 does not sync with Lotus Notes
The new version 3.0.5422 does not sync calendar with Lotus Notes, the previous 2.0.33 did. In the new only sync with Outlook calendar is available Desire 2.2 unrooted.
Palle.
Thanks for the heads up

Phuui thanks for the heads up
HTC Sync 3 missing feature?
In 2.0.33 it was possible to do a repair and overwrite information on the Desire. I have yet to find this feature in 3.0.5422
My first sync with Outlook resulted in the duplication on the Desire of most of my contacts and nearly all of my all day events in the calendar.
Anyone know of a way to remove contacts and calendar items on the phone without a hard reset?
Rgds

i'm struggling to find how i set the sync interval on the new version too. any ideas ?

[Q] Unity ROM - Missing Google Calender view

Hi folks,
thanks for the latest Unity ROM, awesome.
However, since setting up the google account on the phone, the calender is not displayed in HTV valender view, only PC Sync, an Echange account and Facebook. In other version of these Sense ROMs i could switch between these different calenders, and Google's also showed up !
Any suggestions ?

[Q] Problem with Facebook app

Hello, im Simone from Italy, i have my Desire Z with latest stable Cyanogenmod rom, all ok execept 2 problems with Facebook app (latest 1.8.1 version available in the market)
- chat doesn't work, seems run but then display a popup message "Could not retrieve friends list. Try later"
- the syncronization even if active and done doesn't sync calendar with my contacts birthdays, just the contacts phone
Any other experienced that problem?
Thanks.
Same here...
Facebook has the worst developers. My advice is to delete the app and just use m.facebook.com in the browser. As for your friends birthdays... who cares? =]

[Q] Facebook sync

Hi,
i feel a bit like a noob but i can't seem to find the answer...
The setting:
Unlocked international One X, rooted (via htc dev), Clockwork Mod. Previously using MaXimus 6.0 (so with sense, and "facebook for sense")
Wanted 4.2.1 so used that rom > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2013506
The problem:
My contacts don't sync with facebook
- Facebook freshly installed (and re-installed) and up to date
- account set-up
- facebook contact synchronisation activated (and proceeded without any error) and appearing in contact app
Avatar only showing default or google account pic, no facebook picture.
What am i missing here?
Thanks
try removing the account and relog in
Already tried to:
- uninstall then reinstall Facebook app.
- deleting and recreating Facebook account
- disabling and re-enabling Facebook contact sync
No progress so far.

Did you try HaxSync from PlayStore?

Is that a sense rom?

No, it's AOSP. So there is no, like in Sense Roms, straight syncing in pure Android OS with Facebook...

What's the point of Facebook contact synch then?
Synching Facebook stored contact infos, just not the profile pic?

For AOSP based ROMs (CM, AOKP, etc) HaxSync app is the viable solution and it is quite good, pictures (highres), events, calenda.
