[Q] Can't Install ROM's

I have tried to install [ROM][N7105] AOKP JB 4.2.1 [PUB] [FeB - 5] & the Nightly's on my 7105. It soft bricks every time. It tries to reboot after installing the roms and then flickers twice or so and goes black and has no more activity till I take the battery out and put it back. I have to install the stock rom through Odin to get it going again. I always do a factory reset & wipe cache before I install. What might I do to run custom roms? Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi. I have the same problem on my N7100. I could not install any custom rom. Tried CM 10.1 + gapps ( full wipe and cache wipe before install ) after install and reboot system screen flicks 2 times and goes black without any response. Must return to stock via Odin . Tried several times... result is the same. Before Note 2 used S3 and never had such problems with installing CM10.1. Hope someone will help.

I used my Note i717 and installed rom's on it all the issues as long as I didn't flash the wrong ones.
Any help?

I reckon these phones must be too new for us to get help.
My N2 screen flickers as well, just pressed the sleep button after awhile, and unlock it as usual via home screen.
Hope it works for you too
Your screen flickers after you install custom rom?
Almost every ROM I flash I have issues around booting. Some boot up how they should, but MOST don't...
I flash the rom and then I boot. The Samsung Note 2 screen shows but then flashes all crazy and stuff a couple times and then goes blank. I just wait a while and after a minute or so I start pressing the power button, and the screen will come up as it should on the lock screen or if its a brand new rom it will be at the set up screen.
What helps me to know when it has finished booting, is to connect the phone via USB to my Macbook, and when it is booted the mac will ask me to allow it access to the phone.
Just don't worry too much about it, coz it is ok and will work. Another way to see if it is finished booting is to wave your finger over the menu and back button, and it will light up when the phone has booted; you just have to keep trying to wake up the phone with button presses, but don't go crazy and keep pressing and/or holding buttons
Is there any custom ROM's for the Hong Kong version of the 7105 that I can try since the others won't boot?

[Q] cant open phone after burning kernal

arc s
bootloader is unlocked
burnt a kernal
open the device, it showed the logo of the new kernal,
after a few seconds the logo was gone but the phone wasnt open, it stucked on a black screen.
this is the first time changing kernal (and rom aswell, I was doing that in order to change rom).
what happened?
how do I fix it?
thanks for reading!
EDIT - So I changed the kernel to stock kernel and my phone is back to normal.
but that doesnt fix my problem because I want to change the rom..
my phone isnt rooted and this kernel was suppose to root it too, so I could go to recovery mode and change the rom, but I cant do nothing cause of this.
how do I fix it?
On the custom kernel, you're supposed to press vol down button when you see the kernel boot image. That will bring you into the recovery...

[Q] Htc desire hd

Hi,
I have very recently Started to have a strange problem with my DHD. I am using running Jelly time 4.2.2 R10. Whenever i restart my device its touch touch doesn't seem to respond. only the power key responds. I have tried giving it sometime in the hope that it may respond after sometime but it doesn't.
So i have no other option but to take out the battery and restart my phone. When I do that it gets stuck on the jelly time boot screen and fails to proceed to the home screen. ( I have tried leaving that on the home screen for sometime and also by removing the battery and restarting it but it doesn't proceed to the home screen.
So every time i have to go to recovery flash the rom all over again but once i switch off or restart the phone the same cycle restarts all over again. ( i have tried wiping cache/factory data etc etc.)
Any help from you guys will be really appreciated.
Thank you all:good::good:

Maybe thats the problem with the R10.. Randomblame released another much stable update recently Jelly time 4.2.2 R11. Dirty flash over the current Rom.. this should solve your problem... There are plenty of jelly bean roms you should try....

Hello,
Yes it is a custom rom problem. But it can also be a Google apps version problem. I encountred this problem installing gapps 4.3 on rom 4.2.
Hope it helps,

Black screen after lg logo

D851 here, When ever i switched from cloudy 2.5 to blisspop 4.0 and after wiping everything i flashed a various of radios bootstacks and etc to make it boot after many failed attempts to boot ( it boots up but after 4 or so seconds after the lg logo the screen turns black and doesnt turn back on until after i pull out the battery) it worked after i flashed the rom WITHOUT a custom kernel so naturally i booted up just fine and thought maybe now i set up everything on my phone and tweaks i should go back and flash a custom kernel i used to use (777 r16) but then it gave me the problem i faced before the black screen after the lg logo no kernal would work. THEN another problem arised similar to the freezing on the black screen randomly during a usage thru my day the phones screen would be unresponsive animations but touch wouldnt work and i know its not my screen cause when i flash back to cloudy it works fine the freezing happens at least every 5 mins. someone halp?
also this happens on any aosp rom

[HELP] Orange Screen of Death - Problem

Hi! I have a 6/64 Mi 6 and I have a strange problem that occurs sometimes.
I have the bootloader unlocked since ever and I like test and use custom ROMs... But, this problem is annoying me.
Case 1 - If I use whatever MIUI based ROM + the official TWRP, it's just fine, works like a charm.
Case 2 - If I use whatever MIUI based ROM + unnoficial TWRP that supports TREBLE the orange screen appears.
Case 3 - If I use whatever ROM not based in MIUI + unnoficial TWRP the orange screen also appears.
It appears when I reboot the phone in TWRP, fastboot or normal mode, and if I'm in TWRP and reboot the phone, the screen appears and all the times that it appears, I have to force reboot the phone holding the power button and then, the phone works normaly.
Have anyone experienced this? I'm very upset with this situation. I will attach a picture of the orange screen.
Right now, thanks to anyone who can help me or debate!
Sorry for my english. Regards, Henrique.

Until then I was leaving this as a last option, but there was no way... I relocked the bootloader and now I'm waiting about 50 hours to unlock again... I hope this can solve my problem! I will leave a feddback when I unlock again!
Thanks for the suggestion!
I have got the same problem. Have you solved it?
