Need something from someone that has cm9 installed - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Can anyone upload the default cm9 effect tick file for me? If anyone has the rom but doesn't know where this is located let me know and I'll explain.

Here you go mate http://db.tt/NM5L5It4

You could always just download the ROM, open the zip, and extract the file.

Thanks MS
And I know but thought this was easier

Do you like cm9 better than aokp?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium

Well, right now CM9 looks pretty much like any AOSP ROM, but still - that's Cyanogen Also it feels slightly faster then AOKP + it has no pink unicorns Now when CM team got servers up and running, i guess we'll start seeing real CM9 "nightly" releases soon with more and more CM settings implied.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR KEYBOARD:
Because there are 2 different keyboards.. there are conflicting dictionaries and consequently the auto correct is ruined sorry if people dont like this i will remove it but to me its cool to have 2 keyboards to choose from
1. Go to Settings
2. Go to Language and Input
3. Go to Default and select the first android keyboard for standard look with green keys or select the second one for the glowing keyboard
4. Once that is done go to the settings in spelling correction located right above this... go into the settings and select the second android correction
5. This eliminates all of your words from being seen as mispelled by the conflicting dictionaries... it will show you which words are mispelled but will not auto correct them for you...
Have fun all screen shots are forthcoming

[Q] Is our device OFFICIALLY supported on CyanogenMod?

I went on the CM website and our phone isn't on the device list. I was wondering because any phone with official CM9 will most likely get CM10 which is based on jelly bean.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
It is. Look under goo / cm / hercules
Sent from Samsung Galaxy SIV
I'd say this would mean it is supported.

Thanks guys

yeah somewhat.. I mean it's nightly but it runs beautifully for me.. you should try it

Cyanogenmod 10

Does anyone know where I can get Cyanogenmod 10 jellybean at for my rooted sprint nexus? Is it on rom manager?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Burnsra is the CM maintainer for the Sprint Galaxy Nexus. He has posted a couple experimental builds on ROM Manager, just check under Burnsra. Also, check in our development section. Euroskank Jellybro is a CM10 kang.
I have the are you jell in rom. But I see Cyanogenmod seems cooler and better.. Is it going to work fine? Should I switch to cyanogen or stay with are you jell-in?

Let's all post general questions in the development section! :good:

Read the Jellybro OP carefully. You'll see that it is CM10 but with a couple features that CM has not officially merged yet but will most likely eventually.
And the rest of you don't have to be jerks, a mod will move this thread anyways and they just have more work to do cleaning up your off topic trolling.
Thank you. I'm new to this xda app and topic thing. I'll check it out, thanks for your help! =)

100% pure android jellybean ROM for i1515

I'm looking for a 100% jelly bean rom for my phone. I want something with nothing added nothing taken away. I am not using my nexus as a phone so I don't care about any features for that. I actually want to disable that stuff if possible.
Any suggestion would be awesome, thanks

Cm10. The guys are the godfathers of android development and I doubt anyone here will argue with me over that.

cm is far from "clean", its more on the bloated side. its cyanogen that would be considered a "godfather" of android development, not the rest of the contributors to cm. and cyanogen doesnt do much of the work in cm anymore, he oversees it.
if you want pure jelly bean, flash aosp. rasbean jelly is fairly clean too, its aosp that has a few mods.
As stated above, STOCK. Root, and debloat to which ever degree you wish. Bam, stability, and cleanliness with minimal effort.
I777 gets it done, gnex just for fun

CM10 is farther from AOSP than the images from Verizon with the 2 apps installed...
OP just flash the stock images and disable the apps, or root and remove them all together. I dont see what the issue is.
Agreed. Stock, root, remove the couple of apps Verizon adds. Boom, pure jelly bean.
If that's not good enough for some reason, then mmuzzy had a pure AOSP Rom of the latest build in the Verizon section.

Use BuglessBeast. Pete has been building since Eclair for the OG Motorola Droid. He has a stock build with only minor mods. Essential mods that don't affect performance. Like the reboot option, Emoji support and small stuff like that.. check him out @ peteralfonso.com
Jelly Belly is pretty close to stock too, though it's on Rootzwiki

+1 for Bugless Beast! This is about as stock as a ROM gets. Pete's mods are usually performance tweaks that are not seen by the user and as the name suggests, his ROMs are Bugless! He does very solid work.

Any 4.2.2 ROM suggestions?

Just curious what new Roms people are running now that 4.2.2 roms are out. Any that are speedy and stable?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Honestly, all of the ones I've tried thus far have been pretty buggy, though usable. I ended up going back to 4.2.1 because nothing seemed stable enough.
Try them all and see what u like best. You have also been here long enough to know "what's the best ROM?" Or " rom suggestion" Threads aren't allowed.
