Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew if this themed LauncherPro dock bar for myna's Warm twopointtwo was available to use in the ADW EX launcher. I like the ADW launcher better but love the layout of this dock. I think I could probably be fine with just the icons too. Any ideas?
Thx
I only got a sec, but look around at virusrom .com. check the downloads folder. He used to have a launcher pro with this dock. If you like LP. It may still be there. It's been a while.

Thanks for the feedback.
Actually I am looking for this type of launcher for ADW EX.
Now on version 1.1.1
New folder features, app drawer features, etc.
(Oooops. Wrong section, meant to post on themes and apps. Sorry folks)

Moved. I prefer Apex myself, but I'll give the new update a shot.
Lol, at your mention, i'll give apex a whirl.

It works great with the Tablet UI mod. Now we don't have to use hacked launchers
Apex is nice but I have been using Nova since beta 1. The vertical scrolling in app drawer and transparency slider are nice additions if you're into that

I was more into Apex for a little while...but since Nova added (or when I noticed) shortcut activities that blow Apex out of the water its no contest.
Wow. I'm rude. Nobody asked me anything

I was using adw for a long time and just recently switched to nova thanks to a little persuasion by the "god father" john Corleone. I really like it.

Question: How do you create folders in app drawer? I don't see a create folder option anywhere.

i dont think you can do that
You can only create folders in the app drawer with Nova Prime. Go to Nova settings, Drawer, Drawer Groups

I'm guessing you have some sort of hacked Prime then because I wasn't able to and I had to buy Prime.
But Nova Launcher is effing amazing. LOVE the folder option in App Drawer and the transparency. Nova is so much more smoother than Apex and these new features and just making it more epic.

You could be right and I agree with you regarding Nova. I love it!!
I like it better than Apex also. With Apex you can only save one backup of your settings and screen configuration. Nova lets you save as many as you want and you can rename the backups. It also does a better job of restoring IMO. In my settings there is a blue Prime banner on the option for Drawer Groups where you create the folders.

I was going to say it was smoother and maybe a bit faster than Apex. I think people say they like Apex better because they don't have to pay to get the Prime features. I was happy to pay for it since I have used it since beta 1. It was even great in the beginning. It was the only launcher that could pull me away from ADW EX. They did finally add swipe to hide dock which I did email them about because it was the only thing I was missing. I love being able to have a completely clean screen

I love Nova. Perfect upgrade from LauncherPro.
I like Nova Launcher prime allot. I purchased it after flashing a ROM that included the free version (I believe it was Venum ICE), and have used it as my daily launcher since.
I was wondering if anyone else has lost the ability to have the wallpaper scroll since the last update. Everything seemed to be working great until I updated it the other day. Out of nowhere, the wallpaper quit scrolling.

Same here BC. I think it started with FD16 and doesn't seem to matter which launcher you use. I tried installing Apex too and it didn't work with it either.
I stated to use Apex Launcher and installed an AOKP rom which had Nova preinstalled, I haven't look back sense. Nova +1
Hello! I bought this phone 2 days ago... Came from a Galaxy Gio. So what the best launcher for this BIG phone?
I use the Nova Launcher Prime. The best for me.

Nova is great but some of the good features are paid only.
Apex is my choice because its free and has it all.
yeah it depends wether you wanna pay or not, apex gives you more for free, while nova prime gives you more but you have to pay, which im not completely sure anymore cause theres a apex pro version now that i havent tried
I've found Apex Launcher to have a lot more options than Nova Launcher (both free versions)
Nemus is a promising launcher

Nova for me too.
I like Apex.
Nova Prime looks promising but I can't see justifying $4.00 to simply gain a few features. The only thing I see that would be useful is hiding apps.
Eventually they just get too over complicated and bogged down.
On my tablet, I use ADW Launcher Ex. I hide the status bar, the dock bar, icon labels, and works awesome. Apex for my Nexus though.
I also tried the new Go Launcher HD, which is pretty cool. Free too I think.
Comparing the free versions. I run with Apex
Apex 1.1.0 pro all the way for me...

I prefer Apex. Just purchased the Pro version. (Had a while also nova installed but at the end I always used apex)
From my experience, Apex free version provides more features than Nova but the only gripe I have against Apex is that the transition animations are not as smooth on it as compared to Nova.
Thank's everybody!!!!!
Apex Launcher for sure! a lot better than Nova in my opinion.
I just recently got my GS3. On my old phone, Launcher Pro was the best for me. In fact, it was one of my few paid apps. Launcher Pro does not work very well anymore. I just don't think it has been updated to newer hardware / ICS / JB. In any event, I've come across two that I like fairly well. Apex and Nova. Both are fairly similar. In fact, I'm having a hard time finding many differences between the two.
What ARE the differences between the two?
Which is worth buying (for the premium version)?
I've been running Nova launcher over APEX purely because of the ability to backup and restore widgets to your homescreens. This saves some time when you flash ROM's. Also if you are coming from another launcher, Nova allows you to import (to some extent) most of the homescreen layouts from your previous launcher. This helped when I first made the transition from APEX to Nova. I can't really comment on the difference between the paid vs free because I've only used the paid version of Nova. In regards to fluidity, I'd say they are almost exactly the same.
^ agreed. both are essentially the same. i'm with Nova for the backup and restoring feature as well. ^_^
Been using both, for me, I like Apex, you can mix different themes.

I switch to Nova after using Apex for a really long time. Nova has more gestures and email notification counts. Both are really good.

Exactly the same here. Used Apex for probably a year and just made the switch to Nova a few weeks back. Glad I did. As mentioned above, more gestures and back-up/restore features.
I used to use Apex launcher but switched to Nova launcher because the color theme option.
I do prefer Apex launchers for their better screen lock and their UCCW widgets can fill the screen better.
Don't forget that there is a labs option for nova launcher which lets you have additional features. Hold down volume for like 2 seconds to get them.
If you flash a lot of ROM's and use lots of widgets, then Nova is the better option IMO.
The reason is because Nova restores Widgets (using backup/restore settings) soooo much easier.
Restoring backed up desktop widgets with Apex was a PITA compared to Nova.
Also, Nova has better drawer options, IMO.
I do wish both would offer more theme/transition effects though.
I purchased the pro/donate version for both and ran both for alternating periods of time.
My vote goes to Nova, however I have used Apex in the past and it is also very good. Nova for backup though.
Used Apex on my S2, but using Nova on my S3. Not sure why, but Nova seems to be smoother to me on the S3.
Nova all the way!

Nova Prime.....apex who?
They seem to be the same. My only problem with both Apex and Nova is the swiping screens isn't fast enough.

Have you tried adjusting the animation and transition speeds in Nova Settings? It has an option for increased speed performance. It may take away from the graphical fluidity, but should increase speed between page swipes.
Nova make wallpaper non scrollable?

Sure ... there's even an option to have it scroll in the opposite direction of the swipe if you will!
I always used Trebuchet because im a CM10 loyalist, but after reading this thread I took a dive on Nova Prime without previewing the free version. It was a great decision, everything seems smoother and the backup/restore features are awesome. Which is one of my gripes with trebuchet, I always had to set everything up after flashing.
Go Nova! :good:
'Ive been looking for a good launcher, and i'm tired of looking on the Playstore. I currently have aviate, apex launcher and nova launcher free. I've looked on the playstore many times and i'm tired of the same stuff they have. Any unique launcher you cant get on the Playstore?
I had xperia home and the huawei, but didnt like either. Any good recommendations? Best not be any that require root or pushing to the system/ folder. I currently do not have root nor do i wish to.
Take a look to aviate. I'da been an apex user and it's good but I was searching for somethig different, simple, clear and with great usability. Then I was invited to Aviate launcher. And finally I'm happy. Look at some video on YouTube

Lightning launcher mate. It has options for vertical and horizontal scrolling on homescreen and each icon can be customized be an icon with or without label and has pinch zooming in the app draw and on home screen to. It takes a bit to get sorted at first but once you do its pretty cool. Really light to so no RAM used hardly.

I'm trying to look away from lucid launcher. i really dislike the whole thing, no offence to the developer/developers.
Im looking for something unique, buzz launcher , aviate, and others dont count no go launcher crap
+1 Nova (Prime, with Tesla unread counter)
