I am reffering to this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22633251
I'm posting here because I don't have 10 post and I can't post there.
I had SOD issue too. Offten when somebody was calling and screen was locked and off i wasn't been able to pick up because phone freezes. I had oc/uv beater and cpuspy installed. I uninstalled them and the problem has gone. I uninstalled both of them but I think cpuspy was the problem. It needs more investigation and testing but I think this is a solution for everybody that have same issue.

Hi all,
I am experiencing slow speeds over Wifi, between 1.5Mbps and 2Mbps, but as soon as I toggle the Wifi on and off, the speeds go back to normal at 15Mbps.
Then few minutes or hours later, again the speeds are dropping at less than 2Mbps.
I don't have any Wifi connectivity issues or drops, just slow speeds.
It is like the N7100 doesn't wake up properly after the deep sleep, even though the Wifi is not set to go to sleep in Settings and is set to Always On.
I even used script droid to toggle the Wifi on and off every hour, but it made no difference.
My old trusted N7000 doesn't have this problem at all and it is connected to the same Linksys router running Tomato.
I am on stock ROM 4.1.2 2013N7100XXDMC3 N7100OXXDMC2 -*Poland pre rooted.
Any ideas?

Many users are experiencing the same as you do. It's a fw bug, since it wasn't there on 4.1.1
Hopefully, Sammy will adress it in an upcoming update.
Djlucas1983; will your tip drain the battery hard..?
Update: well, turning off psm will definitely be a battery drain of biblical proportions, since the screen won't turn off....
Perhaps it's just on my GN2, but for me the tip obviously is no good. Thanx anyway...
Interesting, I found the settings and turned the Wifi PSM to OFF.
The setting is turning back to ON after a reboot but is not a big deal.
I'll report back about the speeds and battery life.
I didn't have any problems with the screen mentioned above.

It looks like it made no difference turning the Wifi PSM to OFF.
The Wifi speeds are back to under 2Mbps once the phone goes to sleep.
As soon as I toggle the Wifi off and on the speeds are back to normal.

Same as for me (and MANY others) in other words. We'll just have to
wait & see what month Sammy decides to grace us with a new FW...
But it seems it works for me, after turning phone to sleep and wake it up, network speed is a little over 30Mbps.

Im having the exact same problem. it also occurs on the galaxy S3 and the note 10.1 by the way. and it doesnt seem to make a difference with other routers because i tried 3 different once from 3 different brands all the same.
I think it has something to do with switching between 3G and wifi in deep sleep mode or something. Because i think i only get the problem when getting home and my note 2 is recconected to the wifi while in sleep mode. switching it off and on again Always fixes the problem. and after that it keeps getting the speed for as long as im connected to the wifi.
i havent really tested it though... but when i think back of the times i got problems is Always after getting back home and then use the wifi.
Its a strange bug. cant recall when i got it the first time.
So, I've got this trouble with some of the apps that constantly appear in the notification bar as those highly energy-consuming working in background. Like several times a day I have to kill Google+ and some others.
And the actual problem is that I never really launch those apps! What is more, I adjusted in settings only which apps can run in background (Google+ surely isn't one of those)
Any advice on how to prevent them from eating out my battery and being constantly and annoyingly running in background?

i have the same problem. This happens everytime i have Data services on. When its off, those apps never run in the background. Im using B125.
Maybe its the sync option? Some of my apps that didnt sync successfully (when I manually synced) keep on trying to sync it showed up as power hungry app. Or apps that you disallow access to private data, WeChat showed up as power hungry because I disable some permission.
I dont have that kind of problem. But I use "advanced task killer". It kills a lot of apps automatically. You can adjust the settings, wheb and what the app should kill. Try it, maybe it helps.

in Powe Manager, go to Backrounds apps manager ans select which app can running in the background. Also go to Bkgd power-intensive apps and selct apps and in startup manager to select which app running automatically after startup.
Also in Permision Manager, go Network permision and i select what networed apps can work with 2G/3G and which with wi-fi.
Has anyone else noticed that sometimes smart connect stays on after disconnecting the charger and drains the battery quite quickly.
I first noticed it on my old Xperia U when it was running 4.4 and thought it was just due to some of the rom's I'd installed as I never had this problem with gb or ics.
I've had my Z1 compact for a few weeks now. Updated it to 4.4 straight out of the box.
(No other mods made)
Sometimes my battery will drop from 100% in the morning to below 20% before getting home from work.
When I check in battery usage after this happens, Smart Connect would be at the top of the list and would have used a huge percentage of the battery compared to any other app.
Other times the battery life is good and Smart Connect doesn't even appear in battery usage stats.
I've stopped using Smart Connect and disabled it in settings, but I miss having my phone go into silent mode overnight when charging automatically.
Use Tasker instead. It has a lot more possibilities to automatisize your phone. It's not free, though. But either way worth the money. Battery life is in my phone no problem unless you use many locale contexts.

I never noticed that kind of syruation in my z1c. Smart connect works perfect all time. Try factory reset or wipe app cache maybe that helps

If you ever think your battery has gone down too quickly, check and see if smart connect shows up in power management

and random data
does not look like it normally according to me I'll add the
synchronization
landed since removed the items from the executioner and
synchronization
just as in the ROM of achotjana phone is 8 hours overnight
and the screen
shows a 60% standby 20 tel Inactive 11% of any
synchronization or GPS do not use.

My Z1C doesn't seem to be able to go into deep sleep state.
If you look at the wakelock detector screenshots it seems there is no particular wakelock that is keeping the phone awake, but still it doesn't enter deep sleep (last screenshot).
GSam battery monitor is showing always 70+ % of the battery burned by CPU usage and it is either Kernel or Google Services. Additionally I tried to use Deepsleep Batery Saver, but it seems there is no difference in respect with deep sleep.
The attached screenshots are with Resurrection Remix 4.4.2 ROM, but I can confirm the same behavior on Paranoid Android 4.6 and latest CM11 nightly.
I believe the stock unrooted ROM was also affected but couldn't be 100% sure as I flashed almost immediately CM when I got the phone.
Since the problem persisted through different kernels/roms, could it be possible that the device is having some HW malfunction, that is preventing the controller from going into deep sleep mode, and consecutively the CPU just spending time in the kernel idle loop?
I have not backed up TA partition rolleyes and don't know if the service center will respect the warranty....
Any ideas?
It seems there is something wrong with google play services in wakelock detector check which one from GP services eat tour battery

Well there is total of 18 minutes of wakelock time from Googe Serivices. The phone has been active for 21h 35 minutes without a single second of deepsleep.
Maybe it is kernel related?

You'll need to go full stock and see if the issue persists.
resolved...
Wow guys, I feel pretty stupid. The issue was not present after flashing last stock and after careful investigation, turned out to be related to some kernel configuration that I applied after each ROM install with Device Control... :silly:
The battery life is great now and my girlfriend is enjoying some smooth cyanogenmod magic. :victory:
