Your download might have got corrupt. Try redownloading the rom. If that doesn't work. Make sure your recovery is up to date.

Both are in good shape but no matter what rom I try its the same my bootloader is locked
Lol

If you bootloader is locked then you can't install any roms.

yes you can too install roms on a locked bootloader for r800x they have the cola rom and the it rom and the best rom out there that i love is the Darkforest ROM 3.0.5 and here is the link to the rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1496076 and its for locked bootloaders and as every one tills me all the time and now they dont (so far)
(READ BEFOR YOU POST)
so there are a lot of roms for locked bootloaders you just got to look like i did the link to the Darkforest rom i give you try it out i used it and love it i think you will too that is untill you can unlock your bootloader man

Think before you post.
Flashing a rom via CWMR for a locked bootloader is only possible with KeiranFTW's DarkForest ROM 3. And when you flash that, you have to be sure to deselect the GSM options and the wipe /system partition.
As for the Cola, GBTweaked, and IT-ROM, those are all installed by restoring from a nandroid, not flashing.

There is also the GBTweaked ROM for locked BL as well. there is actually a post that lists all available ROM's and Kernels and what not. If your using a Locked BL then use the ROM's based of the stock ROM. The list is missing 1 ROM which is the IT.ROM. It can be found here...

Here is the link for GBTweaked ROM...

If you get md5 mismatch make sure there are no spaces in the .zip filename..

[Q] How to backtrack and be ready for 4.0.4 Arc update?

Hello.
I have an Arc LT15a, rooted, locked bootloader, cwm. I flashed the official 4.0.3 for Arc S using FlashTool, and my Model number reads as Arc S LT18i.
Since 4.0.4 is coming out for Arc, I would like to use that version when it is released.
1. Do I have to go back to GB (.42) in order to get the 4.0.4 Arc update?
2. Can I do this using a GB cwm recovery (I prefer this method)?
3. Can I do this using a GB .ftf and FlashTool?
4. Will baseband, kernel, Model number be back to default?
Thanks!!
Just download the ftf and flash ia flashtool!
Sent from my LT15i using XDA
Do you know if my old GB CWM backup will work the same as flashing some ftf?
Sure it will work good, but flash the kernel separately and also baseband if required!
Dont forget to format data, wipe cache partition n dalvik before restoring!

I am posting to update anyone wondering the same thing.
I can confirm what gire.prasad said. GB CWM recovery works. But baseband 70 (from ICS) stays and there are network errors. Flashing baseband 56 separately should work.
However, I did not flash any kernel because my bootloader is locked?
I knew it would work coz I did the same thing and using GB lol ..
Yeah baseband issues might occur and are rare..
But how did you restore without flashing GB kernel?
It shouldn't work nah?
I am not sure why it worked. When going to ICS with flashtool and going back to GB with CWM, I never did anything explicitly with kernels...
I thought you can't change kernel with a locked bootloader?
Yeah you cant change kernels on locked bootloader..
Hmm puzzled!!!
Anyway, you got the thing working and thats good!

Why don't you unlock your bootloader and install a real jelly bean rom

Thanks for the links, but the bootloader is locked, so is it possible to still install custom ROM leaving bootloader locked?
It is possible for some ROMs i think.

It is possible as long as your new rom doesn't require you to change the kernel, so you can't use ICS or JB roms. Some GB roms also require a different kernel, like MIUI. Gin2Jellybean is fine, but it also support other kernels.
There are instructions in the rom thread. It says you have to change the firmware, but I never did and my Play is still working fine. I'd just start at step 3.
I can't boot into recovery, can someone please help. It just boots up as normal, i tried pressing back key and volume down key.
Are you using xparts to install CWM? Try using a earlier version. Version 5 worked for me last i recall

Thanks, i tried version 5 and it worked fine. Phone is now running Gin2JellyBean, much better than stock. And i can play GTA Vice City fine

Is it right steps for xperia s

Please tell me if im wrong
1.I have .55 firmware rooted & cwm installed
2.Then I will unlock my bootloader
3.Then I will flash custom kernel like Nova kernel through fastboot(is it prerooted or else I have to flash sys.img)
4.Then I have to format data, cache, system via recovery in phone
5.Then I have to flash P.A.C rom using recovery
Are the steps right or im missing something?

Unlock bootloader,
Wipe everything
Flash pac rom (it has it's own kernel in the rom)
Flash gapps
Fix permissions
Reboot

So no need to flash other kernel, only rom to flash? Will my cwm work after unlocking the bootloader.I have baseband of.55,Do I need to update that also?

Everything is included in the pac rom so you can just flash once unlocked. As far as I'm aware your cwm should remain

[Q]Flashing with flashtool brings back phone to stock?

1. I wanted to know that is it possible to downgrade using flashtool e.g if i flash a custom rom which is based on firmware .55 but then i flash with flash tool, version .50, would it work?
2. By flashing through flash tool, can i get rid of CWM?
1) yes
2) yes
Assuming you have an unlocked bootloader and you mean flashing ftf files

No. I'm not planning on unlocking bootloader but yes i was referring to ftf files. DOes it change the scenario?
Anyone?
The custom rom part put me off, sorry about that.
You can use flashtool to flash a stock ftf firmware over any custom rom. (also with a locked bootloader.
You could downgrade even to a gingerbread rom if you want

Ok and by flashing stock ftf, i would get rid of even clockwork right? in case of sending it to repair centre.
Thing is, i have played around with custom roms on different phones for ages but the whole part of unlocking bootloader etc is all new to me so before i begin flashing roms.
Yes it would remove cwm since it's embedded in the kernels and since stock firmware kernels don't have cwm it will be removed by flashtool when flashing a stock firmware rom

[Q]CWM for xperia ion locked bootloader

Hey guys can anyone tell me how to install cwm in my xperia ion.i recently rooted my jb with locked bootloader.
Sent from my LT28h using xda premium
Doomlord is working on that to make one for us. Right now there is no way for those who has Locked Bootloader to get CWM (including me). So we just can wait. If u want something to install, maybe u can just copy it straight away to system and change the permission.

In my case, when i installed CWM @ locked bootloader .55 FW, the CWM didn't work properly. So I suggest you to unlock bootloader & flash doomkernel which is pre loaded with CWM and TWRP.

Pushing the files to the system and changing the permissions is hectic than flashing through recovery. If any error happens it can result in unexpected accidents.
You can unlock the boot loader (u will lose bravia engine) and flash a custom kernel using flash tool.
In the development section you can find some cool kernels with build-in recovery.
If You don't want to unlock , then wait for someone to make a recovery for phones with locked boot loaders.
